PingChan Koh Phangan Beachfront Resort

My wife and I had 5 nights in this quant resort for the first time. We had a beachfront villa overlooking the serene BanThing Nai Pan bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at Pingchan Resort. Our Villa was very comfortable..bed was heaven ( certainly compared to some Thai beds we’ve had before), very spacious with separate shower and toilet, an outside private garden and shower and a large front verandah. Don’t expect 5 star quality here but instead a clean, well maintained, friendly resort. Beautiful gardens. What elevated Pingchan in our view were the wonderful staff we interacted with on a daily basis. Ken, Fon, and young Anna were an absolute delight and a huge asset to the resort. They were caring, attentive, and very friendly..a credit to the Management of the resort. Certainly the value of this resort ( room rate quite high) is its amazing view and the fact it fronts right onto a nice Sandy beach. I didn’t see any other resorts on this bay with such a stunning position. The village area isn’t as nice nor has the quality of restaurants as nearby Thong Nai Pan Noi beach but it’s only a 200 Baht taxi over. We’ll certainly be back.

We have just the most wonderful week at PingChan resort wi the our family. The rooms are beautiful, the location is stunning, pool is great, food is fresh and delicious but most of all, the staff were AMAZING. They honestly could not do enough for us and we didn’t want to leave. They even made a special birthday surprise for my daughter. Loved it so much and will be back!

Very good foodcourt nearby on the main street The room has a safe and is big enough, this is the only positive thing i can mention. Hotel paid us the transfer back to the pier because we were disappointed. This is a very overpriced resort. The neighbourhood Hotels have bars, restaurants and fency decoration especially during christmas but this resort has nothing! The pool is cold and small. No shallow area for small kids. A lot of mosquitos in and around the rooms. Therefore they have mosquito nets around the bad, so annoying to keep it closed during the night especially with kids. Shower has no good water pressure. We had a bad weather during our stay with big waves and wind which brought huge amounts of plastic garbage on the beach - I have never seen something like this in reality. Swimming was not possible and playing on the beach with all this plastic was not funny even if the stuff tried to remove the plastic every day. Small plastics could not be removed. You choose the breakfast from a list "a la carte" and it was ok but everyday the same no change. Cleaning of all facilities could be improved. We payed 1.000 EUR for a week during high season but for this amount we expected to get much more. Can´t recommend this side of koh phangan because if you want to explore the island you have to drive every time over very very steep streets at least for 30min long. Definitely stay on the West or North-West side which is much nicer.

We bookrd a Honeymoon in this amazing resort - with wooden cabinlike rooms wich was beautifuly architecturally constructed - we came across famillies that told us they keep coming back for the 6th-7th time and we understood why - the most chill place in Phangan to stay - amazing views absolutly stunning romantic beach - clean clear water - dreamy swimminpool - best breakfest and most amazing bar right next to the pool . From the receptionist to the last of the crew members everybody was so so kind - they took care of every need with big smile and friendly vibe.. this place is heaven on earth - no less. We rented a scooter right near the resort and enjoyed roaming around the Island. it was so close to everything. We reccomand it as the number one destination in Phangan and most definetly will come back - no doubt. If you read this - thank you for making our Honeymoon so damn good !! We love you guys !! ❤️🙏🏼🛖

A beautiful laid back beach front location, away from the island crowds below. It has its own set of lively happy guests. We all felt comfortable on our large private patios at night or on the beach just steps away. Although our vacay was with couples only, the guests with small children seems as relaxed as we were. The individual clean & serene cabins are situated in a way that felt very private. The staff, especially the manager Kay, all super helpful & friendly. Eating the complimentary nice breakfast right above the beach every morning is something I truly miss!

Was staying in Koh Samui and decided to have a few days on Koh Phangnan, travelled by fast ferry from Mae Nam, it took only 30 minutes. Got a taxi from the ferry to PingChan hotel, travelled through some fantastic jungle and mountains to the other side of the island. When we dropped down, oh my goodness the beach was amazing a paradise, PingChan was right in the middle of the glorious sandy bay. Our wooden cabin with air conditioning, bathroom, double bed and facing beach. There were little bars and restaurants along the beach, along the road at the rear of hotel was a small supermarket where you could find most things. Fishing boats were moored in bay at night, the sand on beach was so lovely and we found fabulous shells on beach first thing in the morning when we had a walk. Would definitely go back and stay, a paradise.
