Paradise Cottage

We booked here for 2 nights and ended up asking for another as we really liked it. The communal area was fantastic with individual cabanas with hammocks and days bed on them. Some ants were around the communal area but nothing that was too bothering for us. We watched the sunset from here alot. The beach isn’t the best for swimming with rocks and reef everywhere but still beautiful. The main guy who greats you is fantastic, super smiley and helpful, speaks great English and provided great service. I think we paid just under $50 Aus a night and got a basic room over looking the ocean with an aircon but no fridge was a bit of a let down. Either way we still loved our stay here for what we paid. The beds were comfy and the rooms clean with concrete floors and basic painted walls. A short walk up from the beach (5 mins) there is a small section providing a choice of scooter rentals for 250 baht a day, food, music and massages. It was excellent having good choice of food and what not close by but not hearing a sound of it from the accomodation. You really step in tranquility there. A slight bummer was that it’s obvious the island will be taken over by tourists partying soon enough. Plenty of new building and expansion going on. So I’d get in quick staying here. It was amazing and well worth it.

Me and my girlfriend booked two nights at paradise cottage at first, but the moment we arrived we decided to extend for two more but ended up extending for 6 night! The place is absolutely marvelous. Julia, the owner is amazing. Her brother is the chef and he cooks delicious Thai food! The rest of the staff is very nice and friendly as well. We choose a room with air conditioning and sea view which was real nice. The pool is nice and the pool area is wonderful, a lot of sun-beds and hammocks. Great value for money. And if you want to rent a scooter, go fishing, go to another island, Julia will help you arrange it! We had a wonderful stay here

100 percent my favourite place I’ve stayed in Thailand , you feel like you are at a luxury resort ! Julie is incredible the staff are outstanding and Julie’s brother cooks the most amazing Thai food I have ever had in my three visits backpacking Thailand. I even got engaged here so it is very very special , you must stay here if you are visiting Koh Chang !

We were supposed to stay only for a night but ended up spending a week here. The place is beautiful (the photos seem to be taken before a renovation) and the owners were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, they had some of the most delicious thai dishes as well as nice breakfasts, sandwiches etc. The room was clean and cozy with a nice terrace and a seaview. There’s restaurants, bars, stores and the beach withing walking distance, however I would recommend renting a scooter to fully explore the island. Will definitely visit again whenever I get a chance!

Julia, her brother Long, and their staff make this place incredible. I was very happy to stay there for two weeks. Rooms are spacious, with a small balcony, offering beautiful views during daytime and sunset. There is a small gym and pool for the guests. Need advice, trip booking, transport? Julia will arrange it all. And if you're hungry, there is a good selection of Thai and Western dishes. I can highly recommend this place!
