Kodaikanal Hotels with Airport pickup service

One of the best short holidays I have had in recent times . Situated in a very peaceful location with a very very courteous & helpful staff. The staff never said NO for any of my requests ,which made the holiday all the more enjoyable. Cherry on the top was the delicious JAIN food . Being a JAIN , we always face some trouble regarding the variety of food provided, but here in Tamara Kodai, the CHEFS Upaching, Prasun, Murugan & Balai Paz took utmost care to provide us with variety of delicious JAIN FOOD ( Indian , Asian , Italian, continental ).

The experience at Sterling Kodai Lake was a pleasant one. The property is a well maintained one, rooms are spacious and well done up. The staff is helpful and accomodative. Special mention to Tiyasha from the front office for being super helpful while allocating the room - got a view with a great view (lake view). Prabha too was helpful. Nice experience staying here.

The rooms, service were pretty decent nothing more nothing less. But I would say this is a bad choice to make in kodai. Despite the mixed reviews we chose this place as all others were almost booked and this one being a familiar name went with this. 1. No view as such, no options too, the location of property is such. U choose one side of the rooms u get the backyard view! Other side frontyard ( parking) with some construction work going on. 2. No buffet breakfast option available. Thank god we dint book it in advance. It seems buffet will be served only if all rooms filled!( this despite travelling in peak season). 3. The breakfast served during the first day was so bad that we had dosas like wet napkins- so cold and bad. 4. No nearby hotels, not at a walkable distance to any other tourist spot. Though it shows nearby to hotels tourist places 1km/ 2km.. it is a hilly terrain and totally away tat u cannot walk! 5. P.S : there is no auto service available in kodai. If u travel with own vehicle it’s fine even then the property is not location friendly. We had to use cab services oly(they charge no less than 3k -4K for a day package) 6. There is no food delivery (Swiggy/ Zomato) in kodai. So we had to end up eating the hotel food at dinner for both the days we stayed. They had only rotis one veg subzi, non veg subzi! Both the days we had the same roti, paneer subzi.( was decent and can’t complain, since no other options). It rains almost everyday in the afternoons and you have to end up in ur hotel by eve. So no choice we had to have dinner there. Final note: definitely not worth the money you pay for, the only good thing I could remember was we had 24 hour hot water supply!

We had a very good experience at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal. The rooms do not a have mountain/valley view, but the surroundings are pleasant and photogenic. Our Heritage Suite was a spacious and comfortable room. Less natural light in this room. However, we saw some other rooms with good sunlight, nice wooden furniture. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, good authentic south Indian delicacies, different each day, with some common items like idli, dosa, medu vadas (best medu vadas- small, light and crispy!) A different sweet dish everyday (varieties of sheera). Dinner was good. Should have some fixed staple items always, like dal+rice. But whatever was served was good. Hospitality: always responded well on time whenever we placed a call to ask for something. Staff is good natured, always smiling and helpful. Reception is very helpful. We requested booking of sight seeing and cab services and promptly the cab was ready each day, on time. Wifi is also good. Thank you for giving us a great experience at Kodaikanal! The road to Country Club Valley Vista is incredible. You'll get a spectacular city view from the Kodai main road to the club. Ample parking space, the club staff is polite and caring, and the room is well-ventilated and maintained. You get ample balcony space from which you can witness a magnificent valley view, you can enjoy the mist during the late evening (6 pm), and beautiful sunrise in the early morning (6 am). The food is tasty you get an option of a buffet as well as a la carte, and they take 30 minutes to prepare fresh food. They serve food in the room as well as they have a designated beautiful dining area. I recommend trying out the dining area, the ambiance is very majestic. You can take a walk down the road and enjoy the scenic view.

Hotel stay comfortable with family and all local site sean under 25 km radius only nice view and with room small balcony nice view amd hot water available but as per them some time is there if early morning check out before 6 clock then no hot water,complimentary breakfast no much option 2 days stay don't take breakfast package better take outside hotel when go for site seen,my 2nd day breakfast hotel people confirm they will make my bread jam ready but that also not happen I ask reception he said speak to restaurant amd when ask restaurant they speak to speak in reception, no proper answer from any one ,and I have to escape my 2nd day breakfast bcoz of hotel staff and they charge me ,no manager who take responsibility for this,and no tea coffee maker in room.
