I was satisfied with the hot spring cherry blossom dishes at the cherry blossom course of the day trip plan. I was worried that the cherry blossom course dishes were volume ok, but the meat was delicious with just a good amount. Also, it was my birthday month on the day, but the surprise of red rice was service, and the response of the inn was very good, and it felt a little happy in the corona. There was a gold spring silver spring in the hot spring and the large bath, and there was a gold spring silver spring in the open-air bath (sandbox hot water). Personally, I was very satisfied with the fragrance of the cherry blossom hot water tree. It is a little far to walk from the center of the hot spring, but you have a transfer bus at the time of hope, and there was no inconvenience at all. I joined the member card (free) without hesitation. Nearby々it is an inn that I want to visit again.

When I booked this hotel , it wasn’t my first choice . But after I stay at this hotel , it will be my first choice when I go back to Arima Onsen . The hotel is small but have everything you need . The big bath is nice with open air bath. The private bath is excellent but you need to booked ahead or early because it’s so nice and every guest wants to book . Highly recommended this hotel . Good food and excellent service.

Pros: service, amenities, Western and Japanese style rooms, food, location Cons: there is no elevator in this old Japanese building, so prepare to walk up stairs; the wifi reception in our room was not reliable We had an absolutely amazingly relaxing stay during our 3-day-2-night trip, enjoying the peace Tocen Goshobo had to offer, as well as their exceptional customer service. I searched high and low to finally find this ryokan with very specific amenities. Since my elderly parents had issues with getting up from the floor had we stayed in a traditional ryokan only, while I wanted to enjoy the full traditional ryokan experience, the Deluxe Suite with Private Hot Spring and Sauna was the perfect compromise for both our wants and needs. The Deluxe Suite has both two full sized western beds that were perfect for my parents, and the tatami sitting room that could be closed off for me to sleep in with my super comfy futon bedding. By no means is the room and experience itself a compromise, as my father kept calling it the ‘Presidential suite’ since it was on the top floor, and we had abundant space with our own onsen attached to the room! The room can fit 6 total guests, and has a secret playroom, a seating nook/area with perfect natural light, a dining room with regular table and chairs (in other ryokans, my tall Caucasian husband commented on how much he missed having actual chairs with space for your legs to stretch when seated), an office, a powder room, two bidet toilets rooms, a space to prepare tea with its own sink in the tatami room, and let’s not forget the massage chair. The room was clean, tastefully appointed, had everything we needed and plenty of space to either gather, or spend some ‘me time’. We opted for breakfast and dinner at the inn, which we looked forward to each day. The breakfast was pleasant and filling, while the kaiseki dinners were amazing. Kobe beef was featured as well as plenty of seafood both nights. We had a great time with our host, Yoshinori Tatebe-san, who tolerated my many questions of ‘what is this?’ or ‘how do we eat this?!’; his professionalism absolutely made our meals a tremendous delight! The location of the ryokan/onsen is ideal, walking distance to everything and right next to a bus stop. It’s in the heart of the Arima area, which has many temples, restaurants, and shops to explore. One cannot deny the outstanding customer service Tocen Goshobo’s team offers. Shout out to Hatsumi and Matsu at the front desk, making sure we were well taken care of, offering absolutely above and beyond service! When Hatsumi was helping me get settled on my first day arrival, I had asked her about the beautiful tokonoma (alcove) that was in the wa****su (tatami room). Unfortunately, I had asked so many questions she couldn’t quite answer me fully! A few days later, she showed me a note where she apparently took the time to think over my question and write it out in English so I would understand the importance of the a

1.Location It is an inn located in a good location from the center of Arima Onsen. Since the Arima Onsen town itself is located in a cherry blossom shaped topography with the bottom of the Arima Onsen station cherry blossom bridge, it is good to pick up and drop off or drive because it becomes a continuous staircase of the cherry blossom stairs when walking from the Taiho Bashi bridge. The entrance of the inn is also a good staircase. The location is convenient for sightseeing because it is connected to Yumotozaka, the main street of sightseeing, on a narrow road (there is a slope staircase but a cherry blossom). 2. Check-in cherry blossom check-out Tea cherry blossom confectionery is provided when arriving And there is a check-in procedure and dinner breakfast time confirmation during this time. After that, I guided me to the room while explaining in the inn. Check out was also smooth. 3. Environmental facilities The building is quiet because of a small inn. There are some slightly old facilities, but the cleaning was well done and I didn't feel particularly uncomfortable. There is a flower in the building 々, It is also a calm feeling with the exhibition of crafts. The room became quite hot because the West day was about in the evening. 4. You can enjoy the difference because there are both hot springs and silver springs. Because of the small inn or the dressing room bathroom is quite a small structure, and it feels crowded with 5-6 people at a time. 5. meal Breakfast dinner is also served at the dining room on the first floor, Because of the private room, you can eat calmly without meeting other guests. The meal was very delicious. 6. impression You can spend calmly in a quiet atmosphere, I enjoyed the hot spring meal and had a good trip after a long time. It was good because the staff was not a customer service, but it was usually a little far away and it seemed to be useful. As a good point, the west sun becomes hot in the evening, and the room becomes hot, and I want to devise the idea to block the sunlight, and the air conditioner in the room can only be blown, so I want you to be able to cool it. The temperature of the silver spring of the outer bath was hot in the morning and it was wet at night, but I thought that it would be better to have a little lower temperature in the morning so that I could put it long. If there are a little more types of sake at meals, you can enjoy it more I thought.

The nice appearance inside and outside the building is in other word of mouth, so there is little information about the bath 々. The bath here is directly connected to the Goshobo source, and you can enjoy fresh hot springs more than the head family's Goshobo. There are two private baths like a slightly larger family bath, and it is a system that can be used at any time if it is free without reservation. Since you can use the large communal bath of Goshobo for a certain time in the evening, everyone seems to be going there, and both of these baths were monopolized and unlimited from afternoon to night. It is a perfect inn for hot springs, but it is a little expensive for long stays. I have to cut 10,000 yen without meals for one night.

[Good point] There are few rooms, so it was good to meet other guests less. The interior of the cherry blossoms is relatively clean. It is also close to the hot spring town of cherry blossoms. (About 5 minutes walk to the souvenir shop) There was a ”Campaign to stay in the famous hot water of Hyogo Five Kingdoms”, and I got a ticket of 4000 yen for two people, so I could buy a lot of souvenirs. The cherry blossom parking lot can stop 3 in front of the hotel You can have water, green tea and coffee on the first floor of the cherry blossom. You can bring it to the room. There were many items for cherry blossom dinner and the taste was delicious. It was also good to have a lot of stuffing and a lot of quantities. I put it in the gold spring on the seventh floor of ”flower knot” with silver spring for 45 minutes by the cherry blossom rental. It is hygienic and clean. [There is room for examination] The cherry blossom dinner venue is not possible unless you go to ”flower knot”. It is 2-3 minutes walk, but it may be difficult for the elderly on rainy days. (the dining hall was separated by a table for four people on the second floor, but the venue was large, but I felt that the relationship between the meals or the distance with other guests was close. Couldn't I guide you every time? The cherry blossom dinner was delicious, but the demigrass sauce tailoring of black haired Japanese beef was a little. Japanese beef was usually baked with charcoal or sukiyaki. Overall, the taste was thick. (I was thirsty later) There is no tea, pot, tea, etc. in the cherry blossom room. There is no cherry blossom toilet or bath for each room. It is not a cherry blossom shading curtain. The large bath on the seventh floor of the cherry blossom ”flower knot” is not so large, so it becomes dense depending on the number of people.

We were not spending the night here but used the onsen to refresh ourselves. Admission is about 1200 yen per person and there is an outdoor bathing area, although there is really nothing much to see from there. The hotel is about a 8 minute walk up the hill from the information center. I recommend bringing a towel before you go.

I went by car. The parking lot is opposite the multi-storey car park and the inn. It may be a little small if you go by large car. The parking lot on the day of stay can be parked after 10 am. I checked in at 15:00, but I arrived early because it was crowded the day before the Arima Onsen holiday. After taking a walk, I returned to the inn at 14:00. From there, I was allowed to wait for an hour at the front desk. 10 minutes ago, the male staff explained the facilities and emergency exits in the building while saying an extra word that it was a little early. If you are an inn like this, you will serve welcome tea and sweets and entertain you at first, but it may be a shortage of labor. The room had an open-air bath. I was satisfied with the massage chair, but unlike the image I saw in advance, the sheets were laid on the mattress. Did you miss the futon? It was so thin. For dinner, he offered beef and sashimi close to the edge, probably because he was conscious of profitability. The white rice is not sharpened well or it is scalded. The soup stock tastes like the second soup stock, probably because it was taken wrong. When I was sleeping early in the morning, I woke up with the loud sound of dropping the plate in preparation for breakfast. For breakfast, the squid sashimi was messed up, probably because I dropped the plate. He gave it to me without putting it in the envelope at check-out. Thank you very much. No word. I didn't help carry my luggage even though there were three people at the entrance. The family next door was helping me pretending to be unseeing. Older women have high customer service capabilities, and young women have the lowest customer service capabilities. I felt that tradition was obsolete in this way. Arima has other good inns. The inn that cannot be multiplied by hot springs, food and customer service is the worst. I was disappointed.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is almost right next to the Kobe JR station. It is so convenient to visit most of the attractions. In addition, 7-11 is next to the hotel and Aeon, a supermarket is about 100 meters away.
The staff is very warm and supportive!
KKWCA modern hotel with friendly staff. The room is small but this is already expected from most of hotels in Japan. Everything is kept clean and in order. There is not much of amenities such as gym, pool or spa. There are vending machines, microwave and washing machine on some floors. Breakfast was included in my hotel booking and provided a lot of variety although they are same in the both days I was there. The hotel location is very convenient, walking distance from train stations such as Sannomiya & Motomachi, and eateries at Ikuta road.
NNormanHotel Okura is very prestigious place with Japanese emperor frequently visited. One of the big conglomerates Pre world war 2. 1 year ago, Japanese emperor had visited Okura Kobe. However, it has been subpar to say the least and overpriced.
Cleanliness (Stains in a lot of spots)
As you can see from the photo. There were stains at bathtub. When I asked the front, they said it is inevitable due to how long it has been used. Even the washroom inside Okura had stains and dust, which is very concerning considering it’s price point
Location (Good for sea views but bad for tourism, walking and traveling)
The location for sea view is amazing and it’s near haborland and BeKobe. However, Meriken-Oriental park also offer the same sea view + direct port for ferry with same price point and better cleanliness.
The big problem with its location is it is far from everywhere else. Some tourist spots such as Kitano Ijinkan, sanomiya city center, waterfalls and herb garden. The JR is at Shin-Kobe which is around 15min taxi. Walking is pain the ass, as front entrance is only for cars, in order to walk, you need to go through one of the three sub-entrances, which requires you taking elevator or walking stairs
The location is not bad but there are hotels with better location such as ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe.
Directly under the shinkansen, 5 min walk (one street) from kitano ijikan and one straight line to waterfall and herb garden. The service was also fantastic.
Service (Amazing, but can’t really speak English)
The only thing going for the hotel with this price point was its service. Everyone was really kind and helpful, very professional. I have seen several times staffs were struggling with English speakers but aside it’s amazing.
Amenities. (It got the regular stuff but lacking minor stuff like weight scale, free newspaper etc which gets offered at same price point)
GGuest UserGreat location and worth for value, spacious room for a solo traveller
10 mins walking to Sannomiya center and metro station
Easy to connect anywhere in Kobe and to Osaka
Nice facilities and fully provided amenities & toiletary. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserI used it for the first time. It is very convenient because it is close to Sannomiya Station and there are many commercial facilities and restaurants. The front was a main road, but the room was quiet. The staff 々 also felt good, and it was helpful to keep my luggage for a little time after checking out. The room was clean and he had a view of the city. (Middle floor) The buffet-style breakfast was also fulfilling and delicious for the reasonable accommodation fee. It is convenient to walk to the sightseeing tour bus stop in 5 minutes ~ 6 minutes.
GGuest UserWritten in the resort and title in Sannomiya. It is a hotel that feels like a small 々 large scale. The sale is lounge. You can drink coffee tea for free. Coffee has a nespresso and you can drink latte (the machine of nespresso looks like an espresso machine. But please rest assured that it is a nespresso.) The atmosphere is good. Lighting is also considered to be good in the morning, daytime and night. I didn't ask for breakfast, but it feels good to see and is good for quality. This is a resort feeling. 1,500 yen. This price range also feels like it is aimed at between Vijiho and luxury hotels. Overall good because it is a new hotel. It seems to aim between Vijiho and luxury hotels, and the price range is also aiming at it. It is a strategy aimed at the young man now, and it is cool. The room is not so large. So there is no closet. The suitcase is difficult to spread. However, it may be due to the room, but the toilet and bathroom are separate types. Shower head and temperature are good. Of course, the basic function as a Vijiho is available. Power outlet - everywhere. Convenient. Wi-Fi - Very fast TV - connectable with the net. Latest. Toilet - Latest Amenities - This is ok... Location - There are many delicious shops around. However, it seems that it is a little far from the station... JIM-I don't go. This side is also between Vijiho and luxury hotels. Personally, it is the best if there is a hot water pool, but if you go there, it is a luxury hotel or... I stayed in Rem plus Sannomiya directly connected to Sannomiya station. Both are new hotels, and the price range and strategy are similar, but I personally like this Royal Park. Which is a cool strategy for young people. However, the convenience of the location is definitely better.
SSH WooJust next to the herb garden and one subway station away from Motomachi happening area.
Breakfast is fantastic. (There is traditional Japanese and Western choice, we took both on different days)
View from the room is marvelous and can view the sunrise.
Ssa2kiI went by car, but the affiliated parking lot was full and I parked in the nearby coin parking. There are many parking around the hotel, but I struggled to find it because there are many steps. If you use the train, I think it's good because it's near the station. The room is semi-double and compact. The bed making was clean. Somehow there were a long hair on the bathroom wall, a few hairs on the wall before sitting in the toilet seat, and 30 centimeters in the bathtub. The toilet cleaned sheet was pasted, and the inside of the bus and the wall were dry. I can only think I wiped it with a used towel... It's a bit creepy. The bedside and outlet are about 1m away in a semi-double 1 room. All the lighting was convenient because it was possible to sleep.
GGuest UserIt is not surprising that ”ginsen” is everywhere, but ”ginsen” is not so easy. It was originally said that it would spring only from the spring source in the limited area of the north of Mt. Atago, and I thought the height was pumped up. I heard that there are many new spring sources now. Because this is ”Atago Yama Izumi source”, is it ”shoba Yama Izumi source” that can be seen behind the condominium? Jinsen is a thick hot water, and maintenance seems to be difficult everywhere. I look for an inn because the day trip hot water is already troublesome. Arima can be luxurious because the rich people of keihanshin gather. Is the inn of Kanpo one standard for cooking? When you look at the list page of the inn of the Arima Onsen Tourism Association HP, it is often displayed as ”one person travel OK”, but it does not appear in the HP plan of the inn. It is not understood considering the management of the inn. I want 2 food because the sashimi and pot materials on the table are not different. It is not old but not new. It is a building of the times, and it is convenient to be able to stay at the price for traveling alone. It seems that the management mother body will change from April. I hope it will be more convenient.
Mmanetantan Close to the nearest Oishi station and was like a residential area. I had to transfer to Koshien Stadium and Himeji. Only shower, but I think it is better for the main tourist than accommodation. There was a drag store next to it, and it was convenient to buy a little snack.
