"Our room was absolutely gorgeous, really spacious and spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was fabulous and the view from the resort was magical. The food in the restaurant was OK, there are other cheaper and tastier restaurants within walking distance though. We hired a bike for the day which was hassle free and cheaper than the rental place next door. The pool area was beautiful and we even saw a couple of water monitor lizards. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxed and authentic Thai island experience."

"This is a very cost-effective resort. The infinity pool by the sea is beautiful👍 It feels 80 meters long and is the first choice for swimming enthusiasts. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the dinner is delicious and inexpensive, the single-family original thatched wooden house is very impressive, and the sunrise every morning🌅 is so beautiful! "The hotel is nice but I should have realised from the photos it would be over-run with screaming kids! The beachfront location is stunning and the beach is lovely and clean, walk down to the beachfront early if you'd like one of the hotel loungers brought onto the beach, it's very peaceful until the loud families and Russians turn up a bit later! The breakfast was basic, I would like to see more choices, a bigger selection of fresh fruit and better coffee machines (they were constantly breaking during our stay). The restaurant menu wasn't that great, and the staff in the restaurant were not very attentive. There are a selection of lovely local restaurants and cafes nearby that have much better food, I'd recommend trying some of them, all walking distance. the room was good, although nowhere near enough shower gel, shampoo etc for two of us to use, thankfully we brought our own. No sound proofing from other nearby rooms which was annoying when we had to sleep early and the neighbours were awake until 3am on their balcony. The lagoon style pool around the resort is a great idea but not great if you don't want screaming kids splashing around outside your room all the time, even late when the pool was supposed to be shut. All in all it was a nice stay for families but as a couple we would not book here again as we prefer more peace and quiet!"

"The suite voucher I bought on June 18th cost more than 3,000 yuan for three nights, including two breakfasts, including round-trip adult tickets from Phuket to Koh Chang, only adults are included, and children have to pay 200🐷 separately. There is a car to pick up at Koh Chang Pier. There are rich breakfast varieties, many kidsclub activities, and a buffalo is raised for children to feed and wash. There are not many people, it is very quiet and suitable for lying on the beach to relax. The guests are mainly Europeans and Americans. The service is very good, and there will be service staff to ask if there are any needs in the morning and evening. The ghost crabs on the beach are protected animals and are not allowed to be caught."

JJarek MecinaWe spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can fully recommend this place! Everything was at the highest level – from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts.
The hotel is located in a quiet green area, which makes you really relax and feel the island's climate. The rooms are clean, spacious and very climate-friendly, and the proximity of the forest adds this unique charm to the place.
The biggest assets of Secret Garden Homestay are, however, – hosts hearty, helpful and always smiley.They were happy to advise us what was worth seeing at Koh Yao Yai, helped in the transportation organization and made sure that we didn't miss anything.
This is a place with the soul we would love to return to. If you are looking for a quiet corner in the surrounding nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!

Thank you very much for the staff's enthusiasm. After hearing that we were leaving on the 8 o'clock boat the next day, they changed the planned breakfast buffet to packed sandwiches for us. The actual breakfast was also higher than expected, with sandwiches and fruit juices.
There was an incident while staying at the hotel. Hot water did not come out for showering. As soon as I reported it to the front desk, someone came to repair it. The response was much faster than expected.
The greening of the hotel is particularly good, but it is noisy in the morning, with insects and birds chirping constantly, but I think this natural sound is not noise. It would be great if you could book a house in front of the beach. You can watch the sunrise over the sea and the starry sky at night is beautiful.
The surrounding area of the hotel is very convenient, there are ordinary private convenience stores, and it is not far from 711. You can eat in the hotel, and orders are taken before 20 o'clock, but I didn't place an order, so I don't know if it tastes good. There is a beach and seaside restaurant a few kilometers away that is very delicious.
All in all, I think it is a very cost-effective resort hotel on the island.

GGuest UserThe hotel is on the island. You need to take a boat to the pier at your own expense and then take a taxi to the island. It is a small single-family house. The hotel staff are very polite and friendly. The beach is just 10 to 20 meters in front of the house. Although it is May Day, there are almost no people. It is a very quiet place. There are European and American tourists. I have not seen a Chinese person in the seven days I stayed. It is a good place to escape from the world and lie down.

OOlivia.BAmazing food, perfect hosts, stunning view, remote and beautiful location with few tourists. The perfect place to relax and the perfect base from which you can explore the island. The beach is only a short walk down from the hostel where there is a bar and you can catch beautiful sunsets. The hosts were amazing, cooking fresh meals for amazing prices. 100% recommend. Thank you!

GGuest UserThere were a lot of ants in the room, and the room itself was not cleaned well. The girl at the reception was friendly, helped me rent a bike. The hotel is authentic, interesting design, but I will not come again.
