I would not recommend Santhiya Yao Yai for any special occasion, like a birthday or celebration. Even though I clearly mentioned in our booking that we were checking in on a guest’s birthday, no one from the staff acknowledged it — not even a simple “Happy Birthday.”
We always celebrate birthdays in different hotels every year, and it’s usually such a warm, memorable experience. But this time, it felt completely different — cold, inattentive, and disappointing. During check-in, the staff didn’t seem to pay any attention to details or to the guests in front of them.
It’s especially sad because we’ve stayed at this hotel before — this was our third time — and in the past, we really enjoyed it. The place itself is beautiful, but the feeling has changed.
So yes, Santhiya Yao Yai is fine for an ordinary stay, but definitely not for any special moments you want to feel cared for or celebrated.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay at this resort, where the service was attentive and prompt. The staff was polite, friendly, and eager to assist with any requests. The view from my room was breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of the surrounding mountains and ocean horizon. Overall, a memorable experience that I highly recommend.

This is a beautiful resort with a lot of activities available. My only feedback is that check-in is only at 3pm and the staff will not budge on early check-in. It’s a huge resort and very hilly so getting around means waiting for a car transfer which is okay but a lot of walking if not. Beautiful scenes but not a beach-front stay experience.

Staff very friendly, helpful to fulfill my girlfriend birthday. They set up bed and give us a small cake. Breakfast has a little bit less option but anything else is perfect.

The food is amazing, fresh and delicious
Star to K.Best in buffet, his service mind is professional.
And K.Dee the driver - he is always with smile and great service.
The room is just wow, I like everything here
