Lazy Day the Resort

Very nice bungalow, very spacious. The arrangement of the bungalows was generous, so near neighbours. What we missed was a bar direct on the beach and ssunbeds on the beach. Sometimes the staff had a lack of English language knowledge, but they more than compensate that with being very attentive and helpful.

We were welcome very nicely by the Filipino guy at the reception who speaks perfect English. We forgot to ask for his name but we say hello. This property is beachfront and having stayed a total of 9 days on the island let me tell you that the beach at Lazy days is one of the nicest on the island together with ko kham(the islet in front of ko mak). Pure paradise, crystal clear turquoise water with coconut trees near the beach. Very relaxing place with free kayak use. Rent a golf cart if you stay in Ko Mak if you re 3 people or more, it's very convenient to go around. We rented it from another property (hanoii house which we also 100% recommend)as we split our stay due to everything being full for new years but I'm sure Lazy days has it too. The bed is one of the biggest I have ever seen. Room is rustic with sunbeds on balcony facing the sea. In the review I wrote on Agoda I forgot to say how big the included breakfast is , simply amazing choices. Beautiful!

Had an amazing 5 day trip at the lazy day . The staff are very friendly and professional in every way. Nothing was too much for them. I was ill for 2 days and Krestoffer looked after me which was very appreciated. Thus I have booked to go back in January for 6 days

Room is very comfortable and clean, beach and area is peaceful. Good breakfast with choice. Convenience to go any places by resort-taxi. Good information support by the front. for activities, places for fun activities; snorkeling, good scenery

I got my best holiday of this year from chilling at Lazy Day. The room is clean, the food is tasty, the staff is friendly. Also you can enjoy your peaceful with some nice activities here. And one more important thing, the staff is very honest as I didnt know my ring is fall on the floor, staff who made up my room found it and put it on the table. 🥰 Please try “Coconut milk ice-cream” (i-tim-ka-ti) , really recommended.

Overall we had a great stay @ Lazy Day. Pros: Nice, bright and clean bungalows w fabulous view of the ocean Great and generous breakfast choices Unlimited filtered water Super friendly and helpful staff Complimentary shuttle to and from pier Taxi service provided by hotel. 60TB per person anywhere on island Cons WiFi weak or non existent in bungalows, especially those further away from reception When the resort was full the WiFi could not handle the load anywhere. No pool to cool off Difficult to swim in ocean bc of sharp rocks/reef and very shallow water. We never got deeper than our knees despite walking a way out. A guest had a toxic jelly fish surround her leg close to shore. Her leg immediately turned purple and swelled. She had to be rushed to the island clinic. Relatively clean beach in front of hotel, but 5 mins up beach was littered in plastic and trash (not hotel’s fault of course but such a bummer not to be able to take morning sunrise walks on the beach). Lots of trash floating in the water. Would be nice if the beach was cleaned more and if plastic was better managed on the island. A little remote. You will need to rent a golf cart or moped to get around. Suggestion to hotel: do not change the bedding and towels unless a guest requests this. The current default is to change every day. This is unnecessary and bad for the environment.
