The location is idyllic, on the beach front, with a beautiful sunset view. The room is spacious and clean; air conditioning, fridge and tv working properly. On site restaurant provides delicious food.

Arrived very hot and tired, we were immediately given a cold refreshing bottle of water. We were then told we had been upgraded free of charge to a garden/sea view bungalow. Room very spacious. Cleaned every day and fresh towels. Towels also provided around the pool. All staff were very friendly and Bee was especially helpful when booking trips and transfers. The breakfast was OK, had a massaman curry and tempura shrimp and spring rolls one night and it was amazing, so tasty. Lovely family run hotel. Really enjoyed our 5 nights visit.

Very good rooms (depending in which part you had the room) we stayed in the D-section which was very good but for example the AB section was a bit more old and not as good but I also got the info that they have started renovation so maybe the older ones are getting a refresh soon aswell. Otherwise very very good and close to the beach

We had a wonderful time at Lanta Il Mare. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond for the guests. Bee and her family and staff are fantastic hosts. They really make you feel at home.
The location is very walkable to many delicious restaurants and a beautiful beach. It was wonderful to have a pool onsite which isn’t the case with some other hotels in the area. We enjoyed many sunset cocktails and meals here with new friends! Stay here!!

We were arriving end Jan 2023, and having read an earlier review highlighting construction work on the beach I attempted to contact the hotel via *********** for an update. No response. After another unsuccessful attempt, *********** called the hotel directly on my behalf, and the hotel confirmed there was no issue with construction of a new sea wall, so I decided to keep my booking. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a monstrosity of a construction site directly in front of the hotel on the beach (see photos) There was no way we could put with this as you would need to walk at least 150m just to get to a usable part of the beach. We then had to walk along the road and find alternative accommodation. Lanta Ilmare did allow us to cancel the booking with no penalty, but what they should do is notify customers in advance of the building work, and not lie about it when customers enquire. We did see the rooms briefly and they looked a bit dated but were large and clean. Once the sea wall construction work is completed I’m sure this would be a great hotel, until then though - avoid.

Unfortunately for this hotel, the sea wall is being dug up and probably replaced directly in front of the property. Very large and loud construction equipment. We arrived November 28 for a 3 night stay and left a few hours later. Management was very understanding and will not contest a refund for our stay. Don’t know how long the project will last, but if you have an upcoming reservation you might want to make some inquiries

Ideal hotel, beachside, small but nice swimming pool, everything is clean, great bedding, quiet... Semi-detached bungalow on the sea side.. Ideal location on the island.

I loved the availability of the staff, they are really very nice, the receptionist is adorable, the two waitresses are funny and really pleasant as well as the cleaning staff, I was pampered, they were all attentive to the slightest need, I loved it. A small flat the plave was being redone finally access to the beach with diggers and truck but hey it's not very serious because everyone goes to the beach next door and 10 min walk, and it was ending, so it will be over when you stay there, plus they were doing something nice so in my opinion it's going to make it good...
