Probably our favorite place in South Africa! Great views, luxurious accommodation, great food. The host Ryan and Natalie are amazing, and ALL their staff are friendly and helpful. A great place for a romantic getaway! A hidden gem that must be visited if you are passing through Knysna.

Three amazing nights at the Elephant Hide. Excellent accommodation and service of the highest level. Ryan and Natalie were wonderful hosts and always on hand with information on the local area and things to do. Fabulous food available, the breakfast will keep you going most of the day. Highly recommended.

Such a cute place to stay. Beautiful views of the lagoon and rolling hills from our balcony and the large bathroom windows. The room was perfect, the bed so comfortable and the food very tasty. We were only there for two nights would’ve stayed longer if we hadn’t already planned our next stop. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience during our honeymoon in here, the room was unique and cozy, the view just amazing and all the staff took care of our pleasant stay. We really like our room with an incredible view on knysna nature. We recommend visiting this place for sure

Great place with super room and fabulous views over the inlet. Johnn the manager was super helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Food and dining room were special, roaring open fire made for a cozy at home feel. The single criticism would be that the bed was rock hard, I know some people like this but not us. Otherwise is a 10/10

One of the best places we have stayed. Room was everything we expected. Breakfast was scrumptious and service was top notch. We will certainly keep this one on our list. Access to the property is easy and close to amenities.

Absolutely breathtaking views and service! Makes you feel at home since the moment you check in. Everything was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly, assisting our every need. Lovely place, can't wait to go back!

The room we had was lovely view of the lagoon with a great breakfast. The rooms over look the main road to Knysna below which is busy and audible if you have the doors open. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and reservations for dinner.
