This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The staff and cottages were amazing!!! Let's start with the (only small) negatives... the cottages are a little remote from Knysna centre so you are reliant on using Uber. There is a wonderful on-site pub, but it stops serving food quite early. Plus it is hard to get cars back after 10pm at night. Therefore, some people may be better off staying more centrally. HOWEVER, nowhere else will match the beauty and tranquility of these cottages! The perfect place to relax! Stock up from a supermarket and build a new home!

I had a great stay recently at Belvidere Manor Lagoonside Cottage. Great location in on the Belvidere estate, with a short stroll to the lagoon. It also means you are a quick drive to Brenton Beach and into the main town. Room was comfortable and breakfast delicious.

We loved our stay at Belvedere, it is in such a perfect location. We love the peace and quiet there and the charming old pub. Breakfast was very good and served overlooking the gardens and pool. A perfect stop over on the garden route or for visiting Knysna. Very good value for money. We will be back.

We stayed there only for a night but we would definetly reccomend it. The little cottages are comfortable and well equiped. The pool was clean and the garden looks well kept. Two things I would improve is that the dishwasher in the cottage was not functioning since it was only for owners use and maybe a bit extra lightning in the living area would be great. Otherwise the place was clean and service was good, we asqued for a barbeque and they brought it to our cottage (just know that you need to pay for it).

Beautiful location, surrounded by flower gardens. Everything was clean, inside and outside. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Very quiet at night so you can expect to get a good sleep.

Belvidere Manor grounds and the estate are beautiful kept and park-like. No security walls or fences or gates imposes on your sense of calm and community.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was not enough. Can't find a place more peaceful than this where you can just rest and get away from the city life. There is so much to do and see in the Belvidere estate itself then you still have the rest of Knysna as well. You can't go wrong by staying here

This was an incredible stay as a couple, but I would love to go back with friends and family as well. It is quaint, clean and beautiful. The cottages are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the cottages are equipped with everything you need and more. The staff are extremely friendly- from reception to the Bell to breakfast the next morning. The check-in process was smooth and the restaurant quality was excellent, as well as the breakfast the next morning. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!
