This is definitely a mixed review, knutsford itself is an amazing place and we loved it, but on arriving at the silk rooms we had mixed feelings, we were in room 6 at the top of the building, the exterior steps to access the rooms are metal and open plan with glass sides, I was terrified going up and down them, especially when they were wet, the windows in our room were very small and made the grey painted interior even darker, the large bed was amazingly comfortable, and the bathroom is stunning, but there were no drawers to put anything in and my clothes were kept in my suitcase as I needed to hang up my husbands shirts on the 5 hangers on the clothes rail, there was no milk and no I stand coffee, and we could only seem to get hot water from the coffee maker despite putting coffee pods in, it would have been nice to have some bottles of water too, and maybe an iron and ironing board, we couldn’t get any of the wall lights to work, we returned from our day out to find our bed was unmade and our coffee cups were still unwashed even though the bins were emptied and there were a few new sachets of tea etc on the unmade bed! Such a shame as it’s a lovely room despite being so dark that u have to have the lights turned on even during the day, it seems very hit and miss
