Made a reservation for dinner on a Sunday, as it was one of the very few places open locally. Made to feel very welcome on arrival, with friendly staff. Ordered a cheese and bacon burger and a sizzling steak. Restaurant was happy for us to substitute a salad for the chips normally provided with the steak. Both meals were good, with top marks going to the locally-sourced steak. Reasonable prices. Recommended.

The horse snd jockey rated as 4 star i would say 2 star to be fair a very basic room tv bed side table and very small room.bathroom good plenty hot water.shower and bath.the room was warm after 5pm.restaurant not open had meals in the snug.food was good.no parking close bye yhere is a unapealing pay and display a few minutes walk no security not nice! I parked in the main street not sure if i should but seemed ok .This place is ok but really overpriced £108 plus breakfast £8 on past vast experience of hotels £80 incl breakfast would have been reasonable.£7 for a take away cheese and onion roll!!

Stayed at Horse and Jockey. The service and food including dinner were faultless, good portions of piping hot pub food. Breakfast was limited choice with few cereal choices and Full English, Vegan or Eggs on Toast piping hot and well presented, great cafetiere coffee. Would we stay again NO the room had awful damp smell, torn and stained carpet, mouldy bath sealant and slug in bathroom..yuk. the bed was large and comfortable. Only three hangers in wardrobe. The issues were reported on check out and the member of staff dealt with the complaint to our satisfaction but we hope they will deal with issues before letting room again.

We really enjoyed our evenings in the horse and jockey we also had a delicious lunch there. Staff a Friendly and helpful locals are friendly also. They staff work very hard and make sure customers are happy. I witnessed the bar getting busy but staff worked it well great team work everyone knowing what the other was doing. Great pub great atmosphere great staff. Definitely will be back

Im reviewing the restaurant at The Horse and Jockey; we didn’t stay at the inn. We had a lovely pub meal in this very historic inn. I recommend it highly. Food was good pub fare and if you’re in Knighton, this is the place to eat.

Very pleasant and help staff. The food was fantastic, only critique would be that the bread with the poached was run if the mill bread. Wholemeal or sourdough might have been a bit tastier. Otherwise lovely, thinking of calling again.
