Best Hotels in Kizugawa, Japan

This is a very convenient modern hotel if visiting the science park on business. 10 minutes walk away. The Kansai airport bus literally stops at the main entrance. The hotel is large but at the time of visiting pretty quiet. There didn't appear to be an any additional restaurant or bar that was open other than for breakfast. However there is a large out of town shopping area with a number of ok restaurants about 7 or 8 in a row that open late that is literally 10 minutes walk away. We tried 5 of these in our week long stay but honestly nothing stood out. The nearest train station is a good 45 minute walk away so getting a taxi is essential really. However, Nara is only 20 minutes away from Shin Hososo station when you eventually get there. Worth the effort for a bit of life. The hotel breakfast was mixed Japanese and Western which was actually pretty good and probably the highlight of the stay. Rooms were basic, large and quite cool which was actually quite welcome compared to some of the overly stuffy rooms that modern hotels tend to have. Overall functional. But the surrounding area is pretty bleak and very quiet walking around after hours. This may have been the time of year but somehow I doubt it.

A hotel that feels like a business ＋ hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, ３ F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.

Very satisfactory! Location is ok ! Very close to local train and bus station but for JR is 15 minutes walk, though the JR has a bus line for it but you still need to pay $220.and have to wait every 20 minutes! the local bus is more convenient! Room is big and comfortable! Would recommend and come back again!

The location of the hotel is located in the opposite side of the downtown in the direction. You can leave the station to the hotel and go along the track to shortcut. The lobby was wide 々. Amenity etc are placed next to the front desk and the style to take from there. toothbrushes too. However, the cup was provided in the room. The elevator is a style of pressing the destination floor with a card key. Some elevators also hold the key when going down . The room also has an air purifier, baggage rack, and alarm clock. Glass in a coffee cup and ice in it. The bath is card key, and there are other dedicated keys for women. The exclusive key is 々 exchange day. Hand towels bath towels are provided in the bath, so you don't need to take them from the room. Towel place, I think this is bad for guests, but it is quite messy, so I thought I needed a regular check. The washroom is ８, and ２ of them can be set up with parents and children. No sauna.

Otherwise, 2-3 people living in a room would not be able to experience it in 50 minutes. This is not very user-friendly. You are only given 50 minutes depending on the number of people, and the tank is too small so only one person can go in and soak in. Others have to wait outside, and couples cannot enjoy it at the same time. 🥺🥺🥺 3. In addition, the food is pretty good. Drinks are not included. There are not many amazing flavors. The first cold dish is the best. 4. The night view of Mt. Wakakusa is great, I must like this! There are only a few rooms in the hotel (not for such a small-scale boutique B&B with few rooms), and there are obvious traces of the process. He also said that he would help to ask if there is any space in the private hot spring the next morning, but nothing was said. 🐶 2. The pillows on the bed in the room are very uncomfortable and too high. There is no difference between the two pillows as they are high. There is no choice. Be careful of stiff neck. 👴 3. The included dinner does not include drinks and menu upgrades, which need to be ordered separately, but we did not order them. When we checked out, the waitress came to ask us for payment. When we expressed confusion, she asked us if we had ordered dinner. Extra drinks. Please, don’t you keep track of whether guests order or not? After observing the guests who stayed that day, basically the majority were Chinese (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), followed by a few European, American and Japanese guests. However, the hotel did not have a Chinese-speaking waiter. In addition to Japanese, it was Japanese-style English that was forced to recite words. I want to say that although you can communicate in English, but if you can't speak it, are you really respecting the Chinese guests by talking like a duck throughout the process? After all, it is extremely difficult to communicate like this. Some Japanese people cannot understand the English they speak. I wonder how the hotel has no Chinese-speaking waiters when there are so many Chinese guests and they even open Weibo for promotion? 🙁

Close to shopping streets and stations, within walking distance to museums and Todaiji Temple. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, coffee shops downstairs...it is very convenient for travel and dining. The room size is ideal, the facilities are complete, and the soft and hard furnishings are all online. The only dissatisfaction during my stay: there was no advance notice of the fire drill. I woke up to the alarm in the morning. The first playback was in Japanese, which was completely incomprehensible and very embarrassing. The Indian front desk receptionist upon check-in should remind guests that there will be a fire drill the next morning. Judging from the reactions of other guests, they must have known about this beforehand.

It is a building that feels the age at first glance, but when I stepped in, the nostalgic space that was carefully maintained spread. The room I stayed in ”Awafuji” was a really nice room. In a tatami room with a wide 々, the ceiling is high and you can feel ”I came to stay at my grandparents' house”. I thought it was lit up without worrying when I saw the garden at night.
