The place is 15min from Levi Center, and the hotel booked a van to take us there when we arrived at Levi bus station. It is a nice and quite place with well equipped igloos. The dinner and breakfast were both good. We also booked the Husky safari from the hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. The service people in the village were always responsive and helpful. Overall it's a very memorable stay in the village.

How can you come to Finland and not live in a glass house? We were lucky enough to see the aurora and the stars in the sky full of glass roofs at one o'clock in the morning. There is a dog sled next to the hotel, and it is very enjoyable to drive 10 kilometers.

The hotel's service is attentive, the food is so-so, the facilities are complete, the room hygiene is very good, and the environment is quiet but it is far away from the city. Overall, it is very good.

It was an amazing time during our 5-nights stay at Northern Lights Village. The Aurora Suite is the best choice, having its own sauna that you can enjoy anytime, day or night. The electric fireplace is a lovely touch, warming up the atmosphere in the room. The food exceeded our expectation, both in variety and taste. We recommend to try as many experiences as possible. The Husky sleigh is on top of the list, we enjoyed it so much that we booked it twice during our visit. Snowmobile ride, Reindeer sleigh and aurora hunting are also a must, each offering a unique experience. This was more than a vacation, we will definitely visit Northern Lights Village again in the future.

Came here as a family and absolutely loved the stay in a magical winter wonderland in December. The hotel really looks after you and was able to check us in pretty much immediately to the room. Booking the Nordic Family Package was an absolute must and included everything we as a family needed for the 5 day stay. Despite our reservations 5 days actually wasn’t too long at all and given the choice would take that ahead of a 3 day stay any time. The cabin we had was brilliantly private but quite cost for a family of four, I don’t think the bigger cabins provided much more space from what we saw, but came at a price premium so we weren’t left wanting. The activities were superb, with the highlights being searching for Santa (The Elves were sensational!) and the Nordic skiing which was a family hit. You have to go full board in reality because there’s literally no where else to go other than Levi which is €60 return taxi, or a paid bus ride away, €5 each way for adults from memory, with discounts for kids. The food was superb, varied and wholesome with decent options for kids and my pescatarian better half. 3 square meals a day were needed because the calorie burn is high given the activities and the cold weather. I don’t know what people do who don’t get the full board but no one was checking our room number for each and every meal. In fact one thing that did frustrate us was that we were on the full board package for 5 nights but it only equated to 4 lunches because we didn’t get a lunch on the day we arrived and the date we left we had to be out of the room before lunch was served and so didn’t get lunch then and weren’t allowed the benefit. I asked if they could please get the lunch (we believed we’d paid for) or give us dinner on departure day and was told no. We went into Levi for lunch, because staying in the restaurant wasn’t an option for 9 hours and the taxi to Levi and lunch was cheaper than staying fora buffet lunch. Our transfers were from the hotel anyway so we returned and succumbed to a buffet dinner for 4 for upwards of €100. I think a point for the hotel is to have arrival to departure provision of food and soft drinks so that people don’t remember what we had as a blight on what was otherwise the perfect holiday, hotel and setting. That aside, we would recommend this place to anyone and already have 2 sets of friends booked in for this Christmas. They’ll also have an incredible time, as will you, as long as standards are maintained.

The most incredible 5 days!! This place is unbelievable. We went at the end of March, which meant we had long sunny days with blue skies and also one day of heavy snow which was also nice. We stayed in a suite for the first few days, with the most beautiful view of the northern lights, which we managed to see 3 times during our stay. The bathroom and sauna was beautiful. We did the romantic package which included full board, and a plethora of activities which were perfectly planned. We enjoyed every single one and can not find a favourite. We also took advantage of complementary cross country ski use and went around the signposted trail in the hotel grounds. We then moved to a regular cabin which was equally as beautiful and cozy. The Wi-Fi was great and the staff very friendly. The food was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. The fish was beautiful and there were so many hearty and healthy options and delicious salads. It was nice to be able to access tea and coffee all day too. Overall, a completely magical stay and I cannot recommend it enough.

Very nice cabins and the good was great. The staff was very attentive as well. We were able to see the northern lights from the comfort of our bed. It was amazing. We really appreciated the alert to make sure we saw them. Of note they do not have washcloths in the room and the mirrors are pretty dim if you need them for makeup. But overall amazing experience highly recommend!!!

I'd definitely recommend to friends and come back. Personnel was kind and shared tips and tricks, huts are super comfortable, main area has ton of coaches to relax and beautiful deco. Some services that are included surprised me like the winter suit lend, and a sled to move around. We took the shuttle to the center and it was great too. Breakfast and dinner are well equipped and have good quality products.

Fantastic!! Everything about this trip was first class. All the activities were so much fun. The employees were all great, very friendly, & knowledgeable. I actually changed my daily schedule a couple of times with no problem. The food was good too. I would highly recommend this place, you will love it!

Terrific stay - numerous winter activities available for booking for both adults and kids. We were lucky to see the northern lights everyday for our 3 night stay - their in room warming was very useful for this! We particularly enjoyed their Sauna and going on walking trail within their property (both in the morning and evening)

My husband and I had a very enjoyable couple of days at this most beautiful resort. The cabins are very well laid out, clean and comfortable and it is wonderful to lie in bed watching the gorgeous skyline, falling snow, trees and of course the Northern Lights, which blessed us on our last night. The whole venue is fabulous and food varied and delicious.

Amazing! After doing research into what Igloo accommodation to stay we were not disappointed with our choice NLV is just far enough away from the large crowds but close enough to head to Levi Ski Resort or back down to Rovaniemi. Our stay at NLV started fantastic with NLV transfer van and informative guide (Finish) who was a wealth of knowledge. Arrived at the Village had at early lunch then soon after our Igloo was ready. We pulled our suitcases down to our igloo, the igloo was even more beautiful than the photos, we had our family of four in the suite and there was sufficient space. Activities were all brilliant favorites were the ice fishing by snow mobile (my goodness it was so cold though) and the husky tour by sleds just beautiful and meeting the husky guides and owners. Meals were fantastic and varied Big shout out to Evelina one of our guides.

My wife and I did the aurora 3 night romantic package plus an extra night. Overall we had an excellent experience and would recommend this resort to anyone. The activities were well organized and left from the resort property making the logistics simple and minimizing time driving between locations. The food was surprisingly good for a buffet, and we enjoyed every meal. We stayed in the larger accommodation and it was modern and well designed.
