We booked this place while on a motorcycle trip. When we arrived at Stewart Mountain Lodge we called Martin who turned up to tell us we had been moved to the other hotel. I’m so glad he did!! What a great old historical building and a great place to stay for the night. The hotel is next to the bakery and a Mexican restaurant. We had three rooms on the third floor which had its own private dining room and lounge area. The rooms are dated but it had everything I needed…. Clean and comfortable bed; good wifi, tv, coffee machine and a very hot shower. For a group travelling together having a dining area and lounge to sit and chill is perfect! I would highly recommend this place and Martin was a nice man to deal with.

Great basic accommodation for a weekend visit to Stewart BC/Hyder Alaska. From the friendly check-in at Hotel Austria to get our room allocation to the cleanliness & comfort of the rooms, it was a pleasure! Clean, quiet, comfortable & affordable...can't go wrong!

Sie brauchen kurzfristig Unterkunft mitten in der Hochsaison? Die Touristeninfo hat kein Bett mehr aber Martins Nummer. Er findet einen Weg. Der Reifen ist platt? Martin Jr. repariert ihn schnell. Der einzige Geldautomat in Stewart ist kaputt? Martin besorgt Bargeld. Und das alles ohne viel Aufhebens. Ganz nebenbei betreibt er Unterkünfte die vielleicht keinen Whirlpool, dafür aber eine voll eingerichtete Küche und Aufenthaltsräume bieten. Eben das was man wirklich braucht.
