Isohara Seaside Hotel

It was close to the sea and had a great view. The welcome drink was delicious, and was made with amazake (sweet sake). The staff were very kind and polite. Dinner was a course meal, and the dishes were explained to us each time, and they were both delicate in appearance and very tasty. There was also a stylish free space lounge, which was nice. Breakfast was also very delicious, but perhaps because we came at a bad time, as there were many empty plates or plates with only a few left. It was also a convenient distance for going to teamLab.

The ocean view and food were great, but the front desk staff was a bit bureaucratic, which was disappointing.

The environment is good and the service is good.

I used this hotel several times for business about 20 years ago, but since then it has been upgraded considerably with the addition of a new rooftop open-air bath and lounge, making it a wonderful hotel. At the same time, from Futatsushima Island, which can be seen right in front of me, I could see the scars of the Great East Japan Earthquake. It was a shock to see the island's lush pine trees and vegetation disappear in the tsunami, and the whole island had turned completely brown. Still, I saw a little bit of green grass starting to grow, and strangely, I was cheered up by the sight of the island enduring the tsunami. Check-out: Check-out time is late at 11:00 AM, so it's nice to be able to take it easy in the morning. Rooms: All rooms have ocean views. There is a balcony, and you can see Futatsushima Island and the Pacific Ocean right in front of you. There is a mini-fridge, and the toilet has a bidet. There are plenty of outlets, which are convenient for charging your smartphone, etc. I stayed in the double bedroom by myself, but I didn't feel cramped in the size of the room. Lounge: The former banquet hall has been renovated and reborn as a spacious and wonderful lounge with a view of the sea. This is a place where families with children, couples, and even singles can relax. Drinks are free, and the chairs and sofas provided are very comfortable. Magazines and soccer games are also available. This is one of the attractions of this hotel. Indoor bath: Separate for men and women. Located on the second floor, it is not very large, with room for about six people. You can see Futatsushima and the sea from here. 5:30AM~10:00AM, 3:00PM~11:30PM. Rooftop (sky) open-air bath: From the rooftop, you can see the sea and Futatsushima right in front of you, and the bathtub is very spacious and luxurious. Men and women alternate. 5:30AM~10:00AM, 3:00PM~11:00PM. Dinner: I tried the monkfish hotpot course. It was a shame that there wasn't much monkfish topping. Breakfast: Buffet style. 7:00AM~9:00AM. There was a wide variety, but I thought a simpler menu would be fine. The building itself is not new, but the lounge and rooftop open-air bath are truly appealing.
