"Difficulty staying, especially for foreign travelers
You have to contact us by email two days before you have the gate password.
No gate password, even CHECK IN / can't do it outside
We didn't expect to be stupid outside the door.
Fortunately, there are Japanese people who are willing to provide the door password.
Emergency contact outside the door is only Japanese phone number
no LINE/WHATSAPP
It's useless to have an internet card
Check in at the gate is troublesome
With luggage, press in the small lobby.
Local travelers also pressed 20 minutes
It took almost an hour to get into the house.
Passengers remember to contact the door password early in the morning
I don't know how long I'll stand outside the door."
"I am more than satisfied for my two-night stay at Hotel LiVEMAX Kokura. Not only does it have an excellent location (right next to Kokura Station), it is equipped with a microwave in each individual room. The room is clean, spacious, and bright. I cannot ask for more as it is truly a value for money hotel. If I ever visit Japan again, I will definitely put Hotel LiVEMAX first on my list."
"Hotel was located right next to the airport with free shuttles only taking a few minutes. Good sunsets from the airport island. The hotel even offered a free dinner! Simple curry and rice but a nice surprise. I don't think you can find a better deal which includes full board. Not much around the area but this just gets you close to the airport for early departures. Very good smaller airport. I enjoyed flying out from here much more than Fukuoka. Fukuoka airport has a lot of construction going on. Getting to the airport via public transportation does require a metro ticket and a bus transfer."

"Good hotel. The room is small, smoky, you need to air it out and use the air freshener that is in the room. The bed overlooks the railway tracks and trains, beautiful! The hotel is quiet, the bed is comfortable. The train station and promenade with a bunch of restaurants are a 7-10 minute walk away. The breakfasts are disgusting, practically non-existent, peas, sausages, rice, a couple of soups. The staff at the reception is friendly, but they don't understand anything other than Japanese."
"I can only say it's great. There are large individual beds, free bread, udon noodles and various drinks. The lobby is spacious and quiet, and there is a floor full of comics."

"Overall an excellent hotel, uses an automated system for contacting.
to receive service There isn't any receptionist. But the only way to contact the hotel when there is a problem is the phone number. We encountered a problem that we did not receive an e-mail from the hotel regarding the entrance code and check-in method. And this time, roaming was not turned on. Makes you feel uncomfortable enough. But when you call The staff at the other end of the line can speak English and provide good explanations."
"The location is very good, next to the bus station, many cars to the city center. There is a historical hotel, especially like the outdoor courtyard of the hotel. The garden design is very beautiful. Under the red leaf trees in the trees, there is a stone monument of Japanese article Haoxiamu Shishushi poetry. The room was large and clean, the front desk service was good, and helped us solve many problems. Although not in the city center, the price is very good."
This rental villa is built on a hill on the Moji side of the Kanmon Strait and watching the large and small cargo ships passing below is soothing to the soul The large piers of the Kanmon Bridge Mekari Park Shrine and the Kanmon Tunnel pedestrian are just a short walk away and you can also walk to the Shimonoseki side On the way back there is a recommended sightseeing course to Mojiko Retro by ferry Why not take your time sightseeing around the Kanmon Strait which has been the site of battles since ancient times the Genpei War the duel of Musashi Kojiro the Shimonoseki War between the Choshu and Shikoku fleets

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic, right within JR Kokura Station. This made exploring AMU incredibly convenient, and there's even a massive Muji store directly across from Kokura Station. Waking up and being able to start shopping immediately was truly wonderful.
Among all the hotels I stayed at during this trip, this room was the largest. The fixtures and complimentary amenities were all very new, and the bathroom boasted a convenient three-way wet/dry separation for the shower, sink, and toilet.
Of the four hotels I stayed at in Japan this time, this Kokura property offered the best value for money. Highly recommended!
EEmile LiuAlthough everyone couldn't understand each other, the waiters were very warm and welcoming, and there were gifts for the children, which made me happy ❤️
LLohI recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from JR Kokura Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. The area surrounding the hotel is brimming with food options, including late-night eateries, which is perfect for a midnight snack.
In addition to the food, the hotel is situated near a bustling shopping district and a shopping centre, making it easy to indulge in some retail therapy. There's also another local train station close by, which adds to the convenience.
The room itself was very clean and satisfying, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The only minor downside was that the toilet was a bit small, but it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, cleanliness, and convenience. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
GGuest UserThe hotel is incredibly close to Kokura JR Station; you can see it right from the station exit. Just follow the glass walkway, and it leads directly to the hotel's second-floor entrance. They didn't allow early check-in, but we were able to store our luggage, which was extremely convenient since we were immediately heading to Mojiko by JR. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room for three adults and one child to sleep comfortably. The immediate area around the hotel isn't very bustling. For dining, you'll need to cross to the other side of the JR station, which is about a five to six-minute walk. That area offers a wide variety of choices, and drugstores are abundant.
DDCLeongI like the hotel because of its location and lots of comics. Within a 4 minute walk from Kokura station, and Kokura castle, riverside walk all within comfortable walking distance, you can take a monorail from JR station also if you don't like walking.
헤헤헤헤헿I stayed alone, and it was right in front of Kokura Station, so the location was really great. As is typical of Japanese hotels, the rooms are small, and the bathroom was especially small. There was no problem when I used it alone, and it was great because it had TV and YouTube. I want to go there again next time I visit Kitakyushu.
MMr Adam PorterWe were visiting to watch the rugby at the Mikuni World Stadium and wanted somewhere to stay near by. This place was an absolute gem, incredible room, huge jet bath with TV, breakfast served in bed and the best part was the view from the balcony included the Mikuni World Stadium. Staff were amazing, they didn’t speak English but were very quick to assist and help. They received post for me before my arrival which they gave to me as soon as I arrived, there was a private lounge area to rest and refresh when we arrived too early to check in. I would certainly revisit, especially if you’re headed to the stadium. I wish I’d taken more photos of the amazing room!
NNai chongNice hotel, room is big, good facilities, near train station, many eateries around. One thing I appreciate so much is I store my luggage in the locker and don’t know it have PIN code, cannot pick up. Luckily customer service of the hotel help me up by calling them on the pad at the self check in kiosk
GGuest UserThough location is a little far but the free shuttle bus to and fro Orio station made is super convenient for an onsen retreat. There's a direct bus from Kitakyushu Airport to Orio station too, which makes it even better. Thankfully, the staff kindly took note of the shuttle reservation request made during booking, otherwise, it would have been very inconvenient to contact them and expensive to get to the resort by other means. They left a note to check the official website for pick-up point but there was no specific information - something that can be improved. The location was found to be BEHIND Maxvalue Shop (see first few photos). The resort is visited by mainly locals so it was helpful to see and ask them for confirmation.
Facilities might a bit old but generally clean so it was okay. The room is nice and comfortable, particularly the view. It was very nice to see the hotel using reusable wares with even a refillable jug to get water from a machine at the shared space. Both sides of the natural onsen is switched between male and female everyday. Supper tantan noodles is great! Breakfast is not bad with both fusion western style and traditional Japanese options. It was a very nice and relaxing time!
GGuest UserLocation is walkable from the JR station, surrounding malls and tourist spots, while not being in the centre of it all, making it a quiet and comfortable stay. There are many buses nearby so taking the bus instead of train was a good option to have. Walking distance can also be reduced sometimes via taking the bus. At the same time, the airport bus is at the JR station, so it was very convenient. The hotel while a little dated, is well maintained with floors segregated by non-smoking and smoking. Luggage deposit before and after is also available and the staff are very helpful with that. The bedside console comes with an alarm clock and even a music player where ambience music can be played - it is a very nice touch to have!!
