The 1st room allocated to us had a bad stench which smelled like sewage, so we immediately went back down to the reception desk and inform about the stench and requested for a room change which the staff quickly obliged. The 2nd room was okay without any noticeable stench. The manager also promptly went to the 1st room to check on the stench we reported. Compared to the other hotels we stayed in, this particular hotel had an odd smell, somewhat like stale air mixed in with old carpet smell and old heating system smell which was noticeable along the hallway leading to the rooms. The not so fresh air could be due to poor ventilation system or age of the building. The hotel is very huge with lots of rooms so requires one to walk quite a fair bit especially if your rooms are not located near the lift lobby. Coin laundromat was not easy to locate for the 1st time as it was located very far down the corridor from the lift lobby and had only a tiny black signage which was hard to see in the dimly lit corridor. Hotel location was superb as it was within the JR station compound with plenty of shops around.

I went to Kitakyushu for a family trip and stayed at Rihga royal hotel Fukuoka, which is located near Kokura station, the center of Kitakyushu. First of all, the location is very good. It's close to Kokura station and there are shopping centers, downtown, shopping streets, and Kokura castle nearby. Since it's near Kokura station, it's easy to get to other areas nearby, such as Fukuoka and Moji port. The hotel is a large hotel with high floors that are very noticeable in the neighborhood and seems to be the best hotel near Kokura for banquet halls, buffets, etc. It has an overall older feel than the newer hotels these days, but in a good way, it's classic and the rooms are relatively larger than the newer hotels. Overall, the hotel is well maintained, so it is clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is also doing a good job of maintaining the characteristic Japanese friendliness and attentiveness. The in-room amenities are also good. The hotel breakfast is also excellent for the price. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kitakyushu.

I went to Kitakyushu for a meeting and chose this four-star hotel. Although the hotel rooms are relatively small and the facilities are old, the environment inside and outside the hotel is great and the rooms are clean and tidy. My room is on the seventh floor. When I open the window, I can see the Japanese garden downstairs. It's a great experience. The breakfast at the hotel was also great. The hotel is very close to the subway station, vegetable market and commercial street. It only takes five or six minutes to walk, which is very convenient. The price is also relatively moderate. I hope to stay at this hotel next time I come!

２ The floor is at the front desk and you can issue two room keys with the check-in machine. When I checked in, I found out that it was a low floor on the 3rd floor, so I thought it was a game, but probably because it was New Year's Eve, the outside was relatively quiet and I could hardly hear any noise, and there is a hotel. Difference I couldn't hear any sound. Although it is a double bed, it is large, so I could sleep two people with plenty of room. It includes mineral water service. There is a drip coffee service on the front floor. The restaurant that can be seen from the street seems to be the breakfast venue. I was able to stay comfortably. The entrance and front desk of the hotel were new and clean. When I went to the front desk to leave my luggage before check-in, I was told that there would be a lot of people who would like to leave their luggage, so if it's okay with you, you can go to a vacant room first and stay there. I was able to check in 2 hours before arrival, which was very helpful. The main building has a conspicuous oldness of the room, but there is a feeling of cleanliness. There was mold that could not be completely removed due to the oldness of the bath, but it did not bother me so much. There was no temperature setting for the air conditioning, and it was a type that you could choose with a dial for strength, but I was able to control the coolness properly and it was comfortable. Personally, I was happy that the provided body soap and shampoo were quite good and my hair didn't get frizzy. I was exhausted from the event and had to extend my checkout time by 2 hours, but the cleaning staff were very pleasant and the front desk staff was very polite and I was able to stay comfortably.

As others have said, the customer service was very good! The pajamas and pillows are a system that you can bring to the room by yourself, and the pillows provided in the room were very hard (laughs). The shopping street is right in front of the station, so you can enjoy it even if you go out! I felt that the customer service made up for the age and lack of amenities. It is a convenient business hotel with a 2-3 minute walk from the station. The receptionist was friendly and I was able to stay comfortably. Convenient hotel in front of JR Ogura station north exit. It is one of the oldest hotels in JR Kyushu Hotel, and there is a part that the room facilities are obsolete, but the room is cleaned and the renovation seems to have been done, and there is a feeling of cleanliness. The accommodation fee is also cheap in front of the station. There was no noise in the next room which tended to be in a cheap hotel, and it was possible to spend comfortably. From the room, the Shinkansen platform was able to be seen, and if the ear was clear, the bell of the departure was heard, so it was good as a railway lover. I think it is cheaper to stay here even if you pay transportation costs because the hotel fee in Hakata is high. On the day we stayed (three adults), we seemed to have used sports groups, and we went to the breakfast place at 7 o'clock, but it was already full, and I was lucky to sit in line with the empty table.
