Hotels near Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum in Kissimmee

A simple hotel perfect as a base, a room to crash to after a busy day at the nearby parks.. Literally a few easy minutes to Disney Parks, Celebration, Old Town, international drive or the i4 for Universal, Outlet Malls etc etc... Rooms are spotlessly clean, hot water, massive comfortable beds, evan a small pool area to relax by that didn't feel busy and a basic but filling breakfast... perfect as a crash pad with free.. easy parking. Only thing we'd add is ask for the quiet side if you struggle with road noise we didn't and no issues but some say it's a pain.. loved our stay.

For the price I have absolutely no complaints. Got better than expected. The front desk was extremely helpful and maid service was there if I needed. Except for the time it takes to get my deposit back. A different place I stayed recently I had my deposit back in an hour after checkout.

First of all, let me say we were blessed to have shelter and food during Hurricane Ian. There was a mandatory evacuation for us living on the water in Pinellas county. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to Oneeph at the front desk. He went above and beyond to help us find the hotel ( we had been driving for 5 hours and got lost in Kissimmee). He helped us with our luggage and was a very friendly face in a stressful time. Very helpful and professional The hotel is older and could use a bit of renovation. Several things did not work in our room and I had to spend a lot of time with staff to get everything working. During the storm, our room, the elevators, and the first floor all had water coming in. We were on the 5th floor. Windows and doors should be upgraded. They gave us another room and it was fine. Difficut times difficult situation but we all got thru it. Thank you.

Check in is at 6 p.m. which is truly inconvenient since check out is at 11 a.m, Our room wasn't ready until after 7 p.m. Our room had a dead roach in it. On top, you need to pay for parking which is ridiculous. When you call the front desk, it takes over 10 minutes to get anyone on the phone. The rooms are small and cramped.4 of us in a room was truly tooooo much. The room wasn't cleaned while we stayed.

A great family-friendly resort hotel. It is a two-bedroom, two-living, two-bathroom apartment. The rooms are spacious and bright, equipped with washing machines, dryers, induction cookers, dishwashers, and refrigerators. It is very convenient. The hotel has four swimming pools, three gyms, and outdoor barbecues. There is a Herz car rental location in the hotel, which is very convenient

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? First, we paid for a room with a pool view, but when we arrived, we were given a room without a pool view. It took some time (approximately 2 hours) and some convincing, but the manager was able to relocate us to a room with a pool view. When we arrived in the new room, we were pleased with the location and space; however, the furnishings appeared old and not well-maintained; most wooden furniture contained many scratches, the dresser drawers in the bedroom were off the rails and not easily opened, seating on the couch in the living room was impossible, as one almost sank to the floor when attempting to sit on the couch. The overall style and look of the furnishings were just old. It's so sad for a hotel with a great location and upscale reputation.

We arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm after a long day of traveling. We specifically picked this hotel because it advertised an on-site restaurant. Sadly, “restaurant” was an overstatement. There was no one at the bar, but a printed menu listing 5 options, all bar food (burgers, chicken tenders, hot wings or pizza). We ordered burgers and were told that they were not selling burgers tonight. So, We ordered chicken strips and tried to order a cocktail. The bar tender had no knowledge of common cocktails and when I asked what he COULD make, he pointed to the bar to show me what liqueurs he had in stock. We asked what sodas he had, and he just pointed to the snack bar across the lobby with bottled beverages. He brought our food out, and the chicken was over cooked and the fries soggy and undercooked. We decided we were too frustrated to sit down in the “restaurant” to eat our meal, so I gave him my card to pay for our meal. He took it over to the front desk to run the card and then spent several minutes fumbling about b/c the receipt did not print. I told him not to bother, that I did not need a receipt.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed but it was just with one queen bed I tried to solve the problem at the desk but they said the they did a mistake but the hotel is full and they can’t do nothing about it, very frustrated situation
