Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa (Adults-Only)

My wife and I have had a lot of good times at Secrets Hideaway over the years, but it has been steadily going downhill. The decline seems to center around some baffling and shortsighted decisions by a former Navy security guard who is now calling the shots. This individual appears to have gotten the role through nepotism rather than any actual qualifications in hospitality or management. Yet somehow, they expect a bachelor’s degree for a maintenance manager. Ironic. The constant rule changes are killing the vibe. Couples without rooms are now treated like second-class citizens, forced to park in the grass like they don’t belong. The fake scarcity tactics are also insulting. Every weekend is supposedly "sold out," yet the place is often sitting at maybe 40 percent capacity. It is clearly manufactured hype, and regulars see right through it. One of the worst changes is the new policy of kicking out guests without rooms at 3 a.m. Some of us work nights and cannot even arrive until midnight or later. Instead of handling specific behavior issues directly, the management has decided to penalize everyone across the board. This approach is lazy and unfair. What used to be an open, welcoming space for genuine lifestylers has turned into a poorly managed influencer playground. The playroom, once a fun and engaging space, now feels more like a zoo exhibit. People just stand around watching, and the staff does not even clean the beds between use. Tossing a thin sheet over the mattress does nothing to address hygiene or prevent infections. Secrets used to be something special. Now it just feels like a business that lost its way.

I read most of the review before visiting and was slightly concerned but most of the bad reviews were around the rooms. Well in Florida with a A/C unit. I have found most hotel rooms have a musty feel but once your in there and turn on the air it all goes away. The rooms were awsome!! All themed and really really nice. The staff was amazing. We had zero problems and the guests were super nice. We do not play with other couples just woman. The crowd was mostly couples 1 or 2 single men. We did find ourselfs a Unicorn from Brazil! WOW!!! Now that was a treat. What a amazing experiance. The pool was warm and nice. The DJ played great music and we were in the pool dancing till midnight. I highly recommend this place. FIVE STARS

Horrible resort if you want to call it that, tacky all around especially the old stale smelling rooms. This place is dated back to the 1970s and has never been upgraded. Its only appeal would be to a much younger crowd as it’s loud and a party atmosphere. The lack of food there is awful and its fast food bar food at best. There is no restaurant they only warm up food via microwave is seems, poor quality all around. I do not recommend this place to anyone, if you go there you’ll be very disappointed. The rooms were the utmost absolute worst, they smell bad, they are very small and old.
