We stayed in a taverna on Mavros Beach and walked into the town of Kissamos regularly. It's a lovely little town with a plethora of lovely shops, bars and restaurants - all very well priced. The central gift shop is a must and, also houses the town's post box. The museum is worth a visit to see a host of Minoan treasures and mosaics and, the beautiful tiny church in the square has to be seen. If you then walk away from the church and square, you'll find the amazing shop on the left which sells wonderful handmade leather shoes. Kissamos also has a wonderful bus system which will take you to Chania or Elafonisi's pink sand beach for a few euros. It's worth a taxi ride to the family run fish restaurant called Akrogiali which is on the coast nearby - it's a bit special. Enjoy Kissamos ❣️

We were well looked after by Sifis and Manolis - great breakfasts, delightful patio and swimming pool area, rooms spotless, lovely view from rooms facing the sea. An authentic Greek welcome and hospitality. Highly recommended. Thanks gentlemen, we will be back!

I spent a week here in late May with a walking group of 18. This is a little gem. Run by 2 lovely brothers who are so helpful and friendly. Great rooms, small balcony overlooking the pool. Great air con which isn’t noisy. Lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast simple but superb. Swimming pool and garden area lovely. If you have longer hair you might like to bring your own hairdryer! But there is nothing to complain about at this lovely hotel in beautiful Crete.

Lovely family run hotel and very friendly owners. Well kept outside area and pool, clean and basic rooms-not a bug in sight. Delicious continental breakfast with locally produced jams and pastries. I would definitely come here again.

Welcoming hotel. The staff helped with restaurant suggestions and transportation suggestions. The rooms were small but very clean. The pool area is clean and appealing, a very nice place to relax in the afternoon. Breakfast was ample. They had safe storage for our bicycles! thank you for a wonderful visit!

Just concluded our 9 day and 8 night holiday at this hotel. A more than positive experience starting from the special welcome from the kind and always smiling staff. Rich breakfast, with many choices from traditional Greek cuisine. Simple room but equipped with everything you need, clean and comfortable bed. If and when we return to Crete it will be our first choice, for now I will make excellent recommendations! :)

Small family-run hotel in the center of Kissamos, very convenient for all services (car and quad rental in the immediate vicinity, bank, seafront restaurants, etc.). The hotel has basic rooms, but with everything we need, such as air conditioning, fridge, small terrace. The cleanliness, the buffet breakfast by the pool (€8 per day) and the friendliness of the owners are certainly the strong points of the structure. Parking is not a problem, the hotel has a small space and if there is no more space it is possible to park along the road immediately adjacent. It was truly a pleasant stay and when leaving I was very sorry to leave.

2 star hotel in the main street of Kissamos, 5 minutes walk from the seafront, very convenient location. The owners are very kind and always full of good advice both for the sea and for restaurants or other activities. The rooms are not huge but pleasant, equipped with a small fridge, air conditioning and a terrace. Excellent cleanliness, rooms cleaned to perfection (for example from every trace of sand) every day. Breakfast, not included in our rate, very good and varied by the pool, with continental food but also both savory and sweet Greek specialties. Really excellent. Parking behind the structure, bakery, minimarket for quad rental in the immediate vicinity. We had a really good time.
