A very pleasant two weeks in this hotel. Excellent for the beach based quite holiday. Good bus service if you want to go the 40 kilometres to Chania. Otherwise to travel, a rental car I presume is essential. Comfortable beds and good shower room. Good choices for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Does what it says on the tin, the Hotel Hermes is a great base for anyone looking for a beach holiday that isn’t going to break the bank! Closely located to tavernas, shops and the local beach you have everything you need on your doorstep! Pros - *Great Pool *Good Breakfast - buffet with continental and hot options *Stephania was fantastic - recommended an incredible winery tour and informed us of the bus service and how to get there! (Thanks again Stephania!!) Cons- *Very small bathroom and tiny bath with shower over it - difficult to shower it was so small *Rooms/decor/windows/balcony could do with a freshening up *We had a room at the front and noise from the street was very loud, it felt like the windows were open at times - loud traffic/motorbikes from very early disturbed sleep on several occasions *Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days, would be nice to have fresh sheets, towels and bins replaced more often Overall, Hermes is a good place for those who need a base to sleep and shower when exploring the local area/having a beach holiday and the nice breakfast is a bonus!

Very nice place to stay! Great staff, (special thanks to the receptionist i think his name was yannis and the cleaning laidy leda )comfy bed and pillows, good breakfast and very clean! Nice big clean pool. Enjoyed my stay here very much and would definitely come back. Short drive to falasarna beach.

My friends and I loved our stay, the breakfast was up to standard, as were the room and the pool area. It’s was a very enjoyable stay thanks to the friendly stuff, especially Kiki who works at reception, who went over and beyond to make sure our stay was an unforgettable one. Highly recommend.

Poor hotel, noisy and uncomfortable rooms, poor cleaning, located right next to a very busy road. Don't go there. The only positive note is the breakfast, very good, managed by a very kind French lady. Poor quality linen, towels that feel like sandpaper, kind reception staff... but that's not enough, they should redo the hotel... let's not even talk about the bathrooms!!!

We just spent a week at the Hermes hotel and I have to say that overall it wasn't bad, let's say that there are strong points and definitely improvable points. Let's start with the positive aspects. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff and that is beyond discussion. The breakfast was very good and varied, although there is a negative note... when it's busy they can't keep up with the refills of food and especially plates, glasses and cups, often missing. Another negative note, they would need two automatic coffee machines, or at least a more efficient one (the current one needs constant maintenance and the waiting lines to get a coffee are miles long). Let's move on to the room, basic but clean and equipped with everything you need (we found ourselves without a clothes horse, but they apologized and the next day they immediately got us one). Now the bad notes. Parking lot undersized for the number of guests and many people often found themselves forced to park on the street (which is not the best since they were all rented cars). Non-existent wifi, it never worked in any part of the hotel. Air conditioning needs changing because it barely did its job set to 20 degrees in penguin mode. Bed pillow, and this is unfortunately a frequent problem in Greece, too light and practically non-existent. Overall I am satisfied with the stay but I don't think I would go back a second time.

The receptionist Yannis was extremely hospitable, accommodating and gave great tips. That's exactly what a member of staff should be. The breakfast was really very good and varied. Good location on the edge of Kissamos, so you could easily reach the center on foot. Extremely fluffy towels. The hotel seemed to have very few guests. The pool bar was closed, the entire pool area was dirty and the loungers were in poor condition. The bed itself was very comfortable and fresh, but the toilet lid had a crack and the door frame in the bathroom was hanging by a nail. The towel rack on the balcony was broken and torn out of the wall. I was only there for one night while passing through, but it's a shame about the hotel. They could definitely make more of it.
