Our stay here was truly the highlight of our trip! Rooms were spacious and clean, shuttle service provided to the train station and private onsen for booking! Highly recommend to book the half board package cause the dinner was amazing and took us 1hr to slowly enjoy all the dishes served. Stayed for 2 nights and the dinner and breakfast served were different on each day.

⭐️Hot Springs There were two types of baths, a hot spring and a medicinal bath, which were very nice. There was also a private bath, which we used four times. ⭐️Food The portions were just right, and we enjoyed delicious Kiso local cuisine. We were also able to compare different types of sake, which was very satisfying. ⭐️Starry Sky Tour We participated in a free starry sky tour. They also gave us an explanation, which was a valuable experience. ⭐️Rooms The room was well-cleaned, and although it wasn't new, it was comfortable to stay in. There was a humidifier in the room, and it was well-equipped. ⭐️Hospitality Everyone was very kind. They also provided transportation to and from the station and the inn.

We, a group of 5, visited early December 2024. Since early December, the temperature was down to zero and it was snowing. Upon arriving, we were informed that the rooms were cold since the premises was old. The staff placed some heaters, but these are running on petrol, and the smell gave us a headache. We asked if we get stay in the newer wing, but we do not know why that request was declined. The diner was ok. But overall a disappointment given that Japan has so many nice Ryokans.

We enjoyed our stay. The highlight was the rock-lined outdoor onsen fed by a hot spring. As we soaked in the mineral bath, we looked out at the snow-covered pines and blue skys above. It was the best onsen experience of our entire three-week holiday. We were there using a cold snap; the common spaces were chilly but our room was comfortable.

Very classic ryokan a little aging at a competitive rate for half board Free shuttle to the different arrivals of the Chuo Line train. The simple rooms of 8 tatami in the original building really need a renovation. No bathroom or toilet in the room. Those of the annex are more modern Very helpful staff. Nice and not very busy onsen. Very copious and delicious dinner but the service is quite slow. Very complete breakfast. All meals are exclusively Japanese; Very attentive and efficient staff; A good exotic stop on the Nakasendo trail/

It is a quiet hot spring inn in the mountains, but the quality of the spring water has a pH of 6.19 and contains hydrogen carbonate ions, making it slightly slimy but lacking in character. It may not be enough for people who like unique hot water. The facility is clean and the service is attentive. All the meals were delicious, plentiful, and very satisfying.
