The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and the view was stunning! We love the breakfast which was included in the room rate for the wide selection and great taste. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. There is a bistro which serves a more affordable dinner after 5p.m, the staff of the restaurants and bistro were friendly too. There is a free sauna for the customer but unfortunately we had no time to try it. The hiking trail was clearly marked and there was a map available at the reception. There was a guide available after 7pm for the customer to ask questions about aurora sighting. We joined the aurora sky station tour as well! It was a unique and unforgettable experience even though we couldn't see the aurora as it was cloudy, kudos to Jasper the guide as he tried his best to give us the best experience :)

This hotel gets off at the next two stations of the railway station Abisko. The name of the railway station is shown in Figure 7. If you see this train conductor, say hello to me, nice. There is a hotel shuttle bus to pick up luggage at the train station and walk to the hotel by yourself. 150 kronor per person by car, not windy or rainy, not necessary. The hotel has single rooms, which are relatively small and also have townhouses. Chinese food 130 / person, buffet, delicious, dinner can be ordered. We only stayed three nights as we were part of a tour group. Would certainly stay again, the staff were very friendly and the cabins very warm in fact we had to turn the heating down as it was too hot!! Bit disappointed with the location as it didn’t seem within walking distance in the snow to the new town and the old town is apparently mainly empty as it’s being relocated. The other disappointment was the blocks of flats looming over part of the site which wasn’t what we expected! One query why don’t you sell milk etc on site?! Seems crazy to have to direct people to the coop?! No information was in the chalets about the shop or the site plan. Info was to a certain amount on the tv or if you scanned a code but not everyone has smart phones! The spa was great, apparently children are only allowed entry at certain times, but we weren’t told that. Also the staff were rather hard to get any information out of and seemed rather miserable but other than that great!!

Great experience and would go back to Abisko in a heartbeat! Stayed in shared apartment with a sauna which was perfect! Fabulous views of the lake and beautiful views from the sauna. Great daytime hiking and saw the northern lights 2 of the 3 nights. The second night we could see the lights from the guest house early in the evening. Close to the train station and local supermarket which has an eclectic mix of options. Did a few tours one with guest house which was fabulous. Facilities clean and tidy. Gear to hire which was perfect for night time adventures! Check in/out use of facilities and baggage storage was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for a night after 2 nights in Abisko before proceeding to Stockholm. A very comfortable hotel with 70 rooms and another 30 or so nearing completion. Would rate the property more than 3 stars. Breakfast was large and varied and of a good quality. Rooms were decent sized with modern bathrooms. A pool and sauna is also available. Visited the ice hotel and would recommended staying in town to get a flavour of the city. Interesting pubs and food scene.

We stayed in the Icehotel 365 for one night and had 2 nights in a two bedroom apartment. The icehotel was stunning and the art incredible. What made our stay so memorable was the amazing staff. Our host Linnea provided exceptional service when we checked in and my husband was unwell. She told us where to get the best views of the Northern Lights which put on a lovely display on our first evening. Lily at the IceBar did a great job explaining the various cocktails and telling us about the local area. I recommend getting out and experiencing the additional activities on offer at the Icehotel. We had a fantastic three hour fishing trip with Lasse where our son caught an enormous pike! We also enjoyed a wilderness dinner hosted by Lasse - the food and wine were delicious and the company excellent! We hired bikes and rode around the area. Thanks also to Ida who helped us out with the Swedish website when our train to Gällivare was replaced by a bus. Our family is hoping to come back one winter to experience Lapland in another season!
