Great place! Very cozy, limited food options, very expensive for one night.

We enjoyed our igloo stay, but we did not get to see the northern lights 🙁 nonetheless the sky was very starry and we got to watch the stars instead. The area is very pretty in the day with pink and orange skies. The host is very friendly and hospitable, he picked us up at the train station (upon our request), and even made a stop at the supermarket so we could get our dinner. The room is very clean and there is just a dry toilet. If you want to shower you have to walk to the common area where there is a proper toilet. Recommended!

The glass house is very beautiful, although we only stayed there for one day. But we were very lucky to see the aurora explosion on the first day of the new year. The manager was also very friendly. Because it is far away from the city, it is very convenient to pick up and drop off. Compared with glass houses in other places, the cost performance is very high.

The hotel is next to the lake, which is very suitable for watching the aurora at the door of the hotel. Unfortunately, the clouds were too thick on the day of check-in and we couldn't see the aurora. The hotel has glass houses and cabins. The glass houses look very simple and have low cost performance. You must book all kinds of snow sports in advance, otherwise you will not be able to book them. I played all the way for 6 days, one city every day, thinking about going there and booking all the activities for the next day. In the last 6 days, I didn’t play a single activity. Stayed here in end December 2024 as a couple. About 20 minutes drive from the Kiruna Airport as this property is located into the forest area near the Torne river and a 10-15 min drive from the City Centre where you can visit various restaurants, malls, shopping centers and grocery stores. We reached by flight an evening prior and stayed in the city center and the next day after checkout, we had Tony pick us up from there to take us to Aurora River Camp. He also asked us if we wanted to pick up some groceries and there is literally nothing around the property. We were able to check-in easily, and Tony was absolutely a pleasure and walked us through everything and also took us with our luggage to our Igloo and gave us all directions and instructions of usage since everything was very unique here unlike other hotels. We had opted for a Riverside Glass Igloo which was right near the frozen river and was extremely compact, but beautiful to see the northern lights. Unfortunately, we stayed only 1N and it was cloudy but the previous day and other days around there were beautiful northern lights visible from the property. Tony also volunteered to inform us when they appear. A nice, clean, compact igloo room with a small bio toilet, however with no shower (only toilet paper, towels, napkins, kitchen wash basin) and a mini kitchenette with cutlery, crockery and an induction stove. We had access to the main common lounge which was a 3-4 minute walk which had multiple bathrooms with toiletries, shampoo, body wash, and other amenities. There were multiple lounge areas within this with several sofas, tables, chairs for your privacy and also a common kitchen with fridge where you can cook, wash etc. There was an hour of Sauna also included which we could book in advance with Tony. Since it was almost the midst of winter in Sweden, we did need the heater in the igloo. Buffet Breakfast was served in the common lounge was very limited, could have been better for the price paid with a larger spread, did get crowded at times. Overall, a great stay and would recommend staying here as this camp was just perfectly located near the river, across the world famous Ice Hotel (you can walk across in winter over the frozen river), decent rooms and bathrooms! Thank you Aurora River Camp & Glass Igloos and Tony for the wonderful stay and hospitality and we would definitely stay here again! Tony also then dropped us back to the airport.

Berlin Truly the best glass igloo experience! My partner and I spent 3 nights here, during New Year’s Eve, and we had an incredible time! The igloo is very warm (despite -22 outside) with heating, has a stove with essential utensils and even has a toilet. If you didn’t want to use the toilet, you can use the lounge toilets which are clean and have a shower. The igloo also has speakers with a great bass- perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations. The highlight was nature’s fireworks on New Year’s Eve… the northern lights. We were very lucky because we know it’s not a guarantee. So if you’re lucky enough you might get to see them too! Tony made sure we were okay through out our stay, heating up the sauna and picking us up/ dropping us off at our next destination. Thank you so much for the BEST stay Aurora RiverCamp.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time here. We stayed Monday to Friday and at first were a little concerned about the small space but you do get used to it and going over to the main house helped a lot. The toilet was a little bit cramped and I’m only 5 ft 3 so I feel sorry for anyone who is taller. We were given plenty of food in our little fridge in the floor but the ‘kitchen’ is tiny so we went to the main house to cook too. Meeting other travellers from different places and chatting was lovely. Looking out at the breathtaking view and watching the northern lights from our cozy bed was an experience I will never forget and I would go back again for sure.

Fantastic experience. 3 night stay in an igloo. The service by Toni and his wife was exemplary. Very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Easy pick up and drop off as well. Staying in an igloo was an unforgettable experience… looking up and seeing the Aurora from our own igloo was magical. Also great location for a walk (across a frozen lake) to the magnificent ice hotel and don’t forget the excellent Sami (outdoor) museum with its great restaurant! Don’t be put off by being outside the town. It’s definitely worth it. There’s saunas and a club house too with a very nice simple breakfast. Highly recommended.

We stayed in glass igloo it was tiny but very comfortable. We booked directly from their website and the details were well explained. It was cheaper to book directly. Our host Tony gave us a very warm welcome. He explained everything about the entire place like things to do and explore around. He was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are back. The chances of seeing the aurora and very highly. I highly recommend this place if anyone is visiting kiruna. Thank you for hosting us Tony. Hope to see you soon.
