My expectation is to have a bathroom inside and a private Onsen in the afternoon and morning. But hotel policy provides only private Onsen in the afternoon.
The hotel food is perfect and has a nice taste. A staff can speak English very well and is helpful.

Even the hotel is old Japanese style. But service & facilties was quite good. we enjoy the trip at thi shotel. Very rich & good dinner during our stay. Appreciated!

I went there after reading the reviews, but I wasn't too dissatisfied. I did think the main building was old, but... Dinner was just the right amount. Breakfast was also filling. The mud pack was also clean, so I was able to apply it to my face without worry.

From welcoming us at check-in to being shown around the hotel, we were treated very courteously.
There was also a letter in our room which was very comforting ☺️
The hot springs also had mud packs and the atmosphere was great.
The food was delicately seasoned and our overseas friends were very satisfied.
We could tell that all the staff were considerate of service.
If you're visiting Kirishima, this is a must-visit!

This is a hot spring where you can enjoy a mud pack. It's fun, so I recommend you try it. However, I think the hot spring will be enough on your way home. There are no amenities such as lotion, so you need to prepare. The rooms in the main building feel like a Showa-era inn. If you are used to convenient hotels, it may be a little inconvenient, such as taking a long time to get hot water in the bathroom (apparently the boiler is far away). I think it will be lacking in many ways for those who want to enjoy something out of the ordinary.

Dinner was a pork shabu-shabu set meal and breakfast was Japanese style. Both were very delicious and satisfying. The water temperature of the private hot spring is not hot enough.
