It’s hard to describe in one word. The staff had a good attitude, but was rather rigid and wasted a lot of our time. I didn't notice the difference between one person and two people when booking online. When I arrived at the front desk, I was told that the reservation was for one person and not two people. I said I would pay the difference. The front desk said no, they had to go to the platform to book again, but there were no rooms available on the platform that day... The next day, they said the room didn't come with breakfast, and after another round of trouble, they said their system had made a mistake. Speechless. Thank you Ctrip for helping us communicate and solve the problem in time.

This is a beautiful hotel just outside the Yala National Park. It has a beautiful large pool and spa facilities. The food was delicious and really varied and the staff were kind and attentive and we felt really looked after. Our room was large and comfortable and the shower was huge.

We had a lovely two nights stay at Elephant Reach Hotel, Yala. Its location is superb only 15 mins drive to the Yala National Park gates. Rooms are good size with great air con. Bathroom could be improved with a better shower with more water pressure. Food is one of the best tasting we had on our tour of Sri Lanka. Special mention to chef Roual. He was very helpful with both of us being vegetarian. Anuradha at front reception is excellent and attentive. Genuinely a beautiful person. Pool was lovely and beautiful surrounding gardens.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a base for visiting the national park. The resort is nicely landscaped with chalets set around a large pool. Our room was of a good size, but quite gloomy and in need of updating. While staff were friendly enough, there was often no one around. We tried to get a drink on our first day but were unable to find anyone serving, so went to the café up the road. There was a big restaurant with a buffet dinner and breakfast, but it was a large cavernous space with no character, it felt more like a canteen. We ordered a bottle of white wine. It wasn't properly chilled and we had to fetch our own bottle opener. We had beer the next day, that was also only slightly chilled. The packed breakfast we ordered when we went into the National Park was very good, but this was the only hotel that didn't provide one for our guide. Could be so much better with a bit of effort.

Radha is a ROCKSTAR!!!! We spent 2 nights at this wonderful place in Feb 2025. Our stay was very pleasant and we have a wonderful time at the place. The resort is clean and tidy and the food is good (need some spice thou haha). The service staff is exceptionally good!!!!! We left a small bag during out trip and left for Mirissa, the hotel manager (Radha) went out of her way to ensure we got our bag safely. She coordinated with multiple drivers to ensure we got the bag in Mirissa and didn't charge us a single penny for doing this. WOW!!! Thank You Team Elephant Reach and Radha for the hospitality, we will definitely come back again soon and no this time I won't forget anything there :)

My cousin and I visited Elephant Reach Hotel in Feb’25, hotel is very pretty, service is top notch. As soon as we checked in, we were welcomed with refreshments, all our Safari doubts were clarified and they also gave us good recommendations. Special mention to Ms. Anuradha, she made us feel like home. She is so friendly, loving, caring. Best reviews to the baker also, all the bakery products were so tasty. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a birthday cake exactly at 12 AM which was very sweet of them. They also arranged for breakfast early in the morning at 5 AM, if you have an early morning safari, you just have to inform beforehand. Overall 10/10. This is a must visit.

Stayed at this hotel last night, very modest room with a broken air con system on a very hot day. Wonderful Radha to the rescue. Despite being full, she found an alternative room which was much nicer and importantly had a working air con unit. We were very much appreciative. Please pass on our thanks
