We had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful resort. Pinewood Beach Resort and Spa is like going back to your parent’s house for a holiday. The care and service you get from the staff is out of this world. Steven the manager, made our bookings seamlessly easy and once we came in the staff embraced us as if we were a family. We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the beach with a special dinner and amazing decor and a lobster dinner I have never experienced anywhere. Wyclef and his staff worked all day decorating the place and he brought a small traditional band to play for us at the special dinner. The whole staff came in and sang Happy Birthday as well. From the beach bar, Kaleb, the lunch servers, dinner servers, our housekeeper, our spa lady, our laundry crew who even ironed our undergarments and everyone in that establishment made our vacation a dream time. We took the superior beach front view suite and we were pleased. The place is at the far end of the Diani beach resorts and provide a super quiet and private stay (extremely less beach boys compared to all other establishments) We recommend this place 100%

Having traveled to varied countries staying in some great hotels this hotel was right up with the best. We had a ground floor garden suite which was a good size and great patio area with 2 sofas and double bed to lie on and chill watching the monkeys playing around. The food was of great variety and had no problems with it swapping evening venues from beach , pool and restaurant on different nights great variation well done. Having met the owners and family members who where super proud of there hotel rightly so we informed them the staff where a credit to them to many to mention but super friendly well done. Hope to return one day to your super boutique hotel which we found to be ideal for a complete recharge of the batteries 👍

My wife and I have spent six wonderful nights at this resort. We enjoyed it immensely, the staff and management were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was amazing, great choice and a varied menu. Each evening dinner is taken at different venues, at the restaurant, by the pool and beside the beach. All beautifully prepared and presented. There is a decent sized pool with swim up bar, where we enjoyed the milk shakes! Activities are low key. Aqua aerobics which we enjoyed, and volleyball in the afternoons. We did the village tour, and also the Forest and Nature walk which were both very good. We also enjoyed walking along the beach, in the morning and afternoon, and were not bothered at all by any “beach boys “. All in all a tremendous resort, and we would not hesitate to visit again. We spent 3 nights at the Pinewood resort following a couple of nights in Masai Mara. Flying from Wilson- Nairobi To Diani is convenient, was impressed by the service on Safari Link. The hotel is situated at a quiet end of the beach *****, no paved road at this end to get to the hotel. We tremendously enjoyed our stay at Pinewood, had an oceanfront room. There are garden view suites, which were bigger and also very nice if inclined. It is a charming old fashioned colonial type of resort, The staff are very helpful, the room was clean , had A/C with comfortable beds. We chose the half board option. meals were well prepared, directed for the mostly European clientele, but the cooks will " spice up" for the made to order preparations. The African BBQ nights were especially enjoyable. Activities can be arranged, we enjoyed the snorkeling. A day trip to Mombasa is probably not worthwhile given the 2 hour one way drive. Overall a very good option for those to want to just enjoy the beach, pool and relax.

A very relaxing resort hotel in which to chill after a hectic safari. The welcome and treatment by staff was exceptionally friendly. Room was spotless although shower could do with an upgrade. Food was plentiful, well presented and delicious. All in all a top class comfortable hotel for a week's stay.

We spent 2 days here ɓefore safari and then 5 days after. It was like coming home as everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing, plenty of vegetarian options and each night is in a different location around the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy and we had monkeys visiting on the balcony. The beach is lovely, there were plenty of sunbeds available on the beach and by the pool. You could easily get one in the afternoon. Special thanks to Anthony at the pool bar and Kalib and Paul at the beach bar for making us feel so welcome every day. We hope to return as it was one of the most relaxing hotels we have stayed in!

I love the feel and atmosphere of this place. Personal touches are everywhere as soon as you enter! A gorgeous oasis, and beach - everything we needed and more... large, clean, comfortable rooms and beds, air-conditioning, great Wi-Fi connectivity...plus a delicious and huge choice of food to suit my dietary requirements. We didn't need to leave, enjoying a variety of dining-in options and locations on site. Well trained, helpful staff work as a team and made me feel welcome and attended to. Peaceful and quiet, it was a great getaway for adults like my sister and I, who stayed for several days. Bespoke built, and lived in by the owners, this personally curated resort is founded on sustainable principles before it was even a thing! I met the owners and manager who care for the place like it's their home and who satisfied my curious mind. I would definitely come back here.
