We needed a stopover before an early flight out of Kihihi, and Suba Motel fit the bill. Our rooms were small, but comfortable and peaceful. We were worried about noisy roosters and dogs, as often happens in smaller towns, but no such problems. Actually had a great night's sleep! And it was nice to see a non-touristy side of Uganda. Tasty and plentiful food for dinner and breakfast. Regarding other reviews of the restaurant - my impression is that the restaurant is more for guests, in the sense that they asked for our dinner order when we checked in and asked when we wanted to eat. It may have been because business was down due to the pandemic, but the chef prepared everything entirely from scratch, so yes, it's not super fast for a strictly dining experience. But our food was delicious, and more than we could eat, both for dinner and breakfast the next day. They took great care of us!

Excellent service in this fairly priced motel. Clean and quiet. Perfect location to explore Kihihi. Very nice, sincere and empathic staff, good food! Kihihi itself took us by surprise. Arriving with no expectations and leaving with a bunch of nice memories and some more Ugandan words for our travel vocabulary. Amazingly friendly folks live around here!
