Stayed here for 4 nights, first time in a Holiday Inn Hotel. A delightful stay. Room 224 was very nice with a great view over the marina. The staff were without exception very polite, helpful and efficient. The hotel was bright and clean. The room rate and food / drinks are not cheap but I don't begrudge that at all. Very, very , minor niggles: The in-room TV was in need of updating - functional by very clunky. Decaf options could be added to the breakfast coffee machine as opposed to limiting to using sachets. Suggestion if booking: Book a room with a marina view, great views and is away from the long-term roadworks on the A63 outside the other side of the hotel. Overall a very good stay, would be happy to return, recommended highly,

I thought I would take some time to write an honest review for this place after seeing and hearing so many negative things. So this hotel is very basic, but it is clean & tidy and has everything you need for a short stay. The rooms are of a decent size with comfy beds, Tv, Hair Dryer, Kettle & Tea, Coffee and milk supplies. You also get a couple of towels but if you ask at reception if you need anything else they are lovely and happy to accommodate to your needs. The lady who was on reception at the time of our one night stay was lovely, she got us extra pillows, gave us a phone charger to borrow and we sat and had a drink in the reception bar. There was no food service at this time due to staff shortages but that didn’t affect our stay as we went out for an evening meal and breakfast the next day. The grounds are quiet, we didn’t hear a thing throughout the night. They have CCTV everywhere and this is monitored by the reception staff as well as a night porter so you do feel very safe here despite the numerous reviews I’ve read about **********s and things. Overall I booked a cheap and cheerful place to stay for one night and this is what we got. It’s in a good location with easy walking distance to many shops, bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

First trip to Hull and Humberside. Hotel was very central and we walked everywhere from it. Had considered the one down at the marina but there were road works all over Hull and was very difficult to get into if you didn't know the area. we spent most of our time down at the marina in the evenings but only a short 15 minute walk away and Hull is very easy to walk around. Room and bathroom were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was included and was a delicious buffet with cooked options. Parking was very easy in the attached multistory for which there is a discount via the hotel which worked well in terms of logistics of leaving the car park and was £7 a day which was acceptable for the city centre. Just drive into the multi story and the staff do the rest by adding it to the bill and enabling your exit from the barrier . All staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Really nice place to stay.

Well this has just become our family tradition now.. 9 years (barring the covid year..!) It started off just four of us now it's 6 of us and friends joined us this year so hopefully they'll join us next year too..! The food is always excellent, they cater for any dietary needs, the children are always well entertained, and the adults..! (One even got to sit on Santa's lap 🤣🤣) and its just lovely how the children get plenty of time to talk to and enjoy meeting santa without feeling rushed, santa was brilliant he chatted away to the elves the youngest brought, he thought that was excellent..! This marks the start of Christmas for us.. bring on the festivities..! 🎄🥳🎅

Working in the area I needed to book some accomodation. I discovered The Fox and Coney Inn. Lovely little place, nice bar and dining area. I could tell it was the type of place the locals like to go, bringing their families and dogs. Large selection of drinks, and very nice food! I stopped for 5 nights, then needed to travel home for a few nights but returned again for another 4 nights, once again as I was working in the area. On both occasions my room was clean, comfortable, warm and cosey. I have been working away a lot over the last 2 months in different towns and cities and this has been my favourite place to stay

Wonderful experience stay at that castle. We had dinner in the courtyard for a very reasonable price consider the food was of great quality. The health club had great facilities including a reasonable sized gym decent sized pool / jacuzzi. We would definitely stay there again as the location was great. The only minor complaint we would have is that the room was a bit cold but it is late January.

GGuest UserHotel is amazing including the rooms, check in, staff, recognition of Hilton honours and breakfast. Unfortunately this stay was negative as we were on floor 3 below the Lexington which had a DJ/ disco until 1am. The issue was resolved and we will be making further bookings. We rang reception at 10:30 to ask when the disco/ DJ in the Lexington would end. We were told 11:45 and we said there was a constant thudding as we were on floor 3 but it would be manageable for an hour as we could still get to sleep at a reasonable time. The receptionist told us she had been up once to talk to the DJ about turning the volume down. The receptionist said she would be going up again and that these issues happen. The room was shaking and rattling due to the thudding. We rang down again at 11:55 to be told that the information we previously got was incorrect and that the DJ would be on until 1am. The person on reception asked who gave us the information but we didn’t have a name, we just knew that at 10:30 when we rang down, we got told 11:45. We asked for a room on a lower floor and we were told that this could not be authorised by the member of staff on the phone, it had to be authorised by the manager. If we had been told the correct information at 10:30 when we called reception, we would have requested a move then to a lower floor and saved the hours of not being able to sleep and the stress due to this. We received another call at 12:16 from reception saying they were going to go up and ask the music to be turned down. We did acknowledge that there are limits to what the staff can do and that it is not their fault. Our two previous stays at this hotel were amazing and even now, we can’t fault the room, check in service, acknowledgment of Hilton honours or breakfast. All of these areas are perfect and could not be improved upon. Staff are friendly and attentive and they are a credit to the hotel. But to pay for a hotel room and have noise stopping you from sleeping until 1am isn’t good enough. We spoke to manager, Andy, about our experience and he was really good and we came to a resolution that we are happy with. Due to how this was resolved, we will be making future bookings at this hotel as we travel to Hull regularly and we don’t want one negative stay to outweigh the positive ones.

GGuest UserThis is a very poor hotel in a cut off location. The rooms are cold and poorly decorated. It is in need of a major refurbishment. The beds are extremely comfortable, but having stayed here more times than I can remember, the quality of the bedding is generally poor (torn / frayed etc) and the cleanliness of the rooms can be extremely questionable at times. Staff are generally very friendly. The food in the bar and grill - well the menu never changes and it’s extremely hit & miss in terms of quality. You never know if your medium rare steak will arrive rare, well done or perhaps medium rare. Breakfast has no variety and there are is no option to have anything other than bland scrambled eggs. The issue, as mentioned above, is that given location you are restricted in options other than to eat in the hotel bar.

VVaughanSarahMet by friendly and courteous staff at reception. Room was clean, and View was nice from the room. The shower was terrible! Luke warm at the hottest temperature and freezing when you turned the temperature any other way. We ordered food from the qr code for room service because my daughter wasn’t feeling very well, but waited over an hour and it never came. I tried to ring down for about 20 mins but no one answered the phone. I went down to reception and spoke to the lady who was very apologetic and explained that the app never works, if this is the case perhaps the hotel should remove the codes from the room and replace with a traditional room service menu instead! The lady on reception did all she could to rectify the problem and seemed to be used to this happening. Unfortunately because I had to wait so long for room service( was just meant to be a snack) I missed out on using the facilities so can’t really comment but they did look good . Breakfast was fantastic I have to say, well cooked and lots of choice, serve yourself which I enjoyed.

JJohn L BStayed overnight after seeing a show at Hull Bonus Arena. Staff very helpful and friendly , room very clean and comfortable. Food menu had so many choices and options, super value at 2 meals for £12-49. You could spend more depending on how hungry you are.? Our breakfast option .....super value at £9 -25 The only downside is the extremely clean and comfortable room is ready refurbishment , which is due to take place later. Overall an overnight stay for £46 for two, exceptional value. Staff very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble .

Arrived early no issues with that, friendly guy talked us through check in via phone, booked direct, requested upgraded room, got keys to the room was not impressed! Very basic , Room 7 , strange smell, worksurface round sink cracked & shabby, no tea/coffee making facilities in room which I have never experienced before…(shared kitchen has all these) just not my preference like a cuppa in room without having to feel you need to get dressed & go downstairs (personal choice) called number enquiring if my room was an upgraded one, no it wasn’t they made a mistake, quickly rectified, changed room Room 10, have to say compared to 1st one this was progressively better. Parking , plentiful if you don’t have inconsiderate drivers parking across ways in front of hotel making access to rear carpark not accessible! , when we arrived back at 11pm we had to park on road round the corner (not hotels fault) Would we return , No, ok for what we needed it for attending function Hessle Town Hall.

GGuest UserThis place is not as advertised. Despite what the listing says here is no wi-fi at all anywhere. This wouldn’t be too bad but the location is also in a terrible spot for mobile internet or even phone calls. Neither my work or personal phones (two different networks) could make calls or get internet anywhere around the entire property. When I asked about the wi-fi they said “yeah, it’s always like that, it rarely works” and then “if you walk down the cycle path into the woods you can sometimes get phone reception there”. Reception was not even good enough to send texts. I paid extra for a deluxe room which had no shower, just a large jacuzzi bath which didn’t work and had broken off switches. The notice said to hang up the towels if you’re prepared to re use them but there were no hooks. The carpets were embarrassingly thin with tears and gaps. If you’re just a pub which serves food don’t advertise wi-fi, spa baths or deluxe anything, never mind advertise for weddings etc.
