The staff at the hotel was really lovely and the location was good. That's about it on the good things. It was really not worth the price, poor cheap bedding, messy floors, I wouldn't dare putting my clothes in the wardrobe either, really smudged bathroom and lack of soap and other amenities. I stayed there one night which was ok but would definitely consider a different spot next time around.

A good hotel in a very good location. If you're coming for the summer graduation ceremonies, this hotel is less than a minute walk to the Bonus Arena. It is also close to the Princes Quay Shopping Centre of a 3-5 minute walk.

Staff are all lovely (when you can find them - sometimes you are kept waiting and you can hear them talking in the office). It's a budget hotel so I was not expecting luxury just somewhere clean to sleep with food to eat if I wanted to. At the time the hotel was also occupied by a group of young Chinese students on an exchange programme - there were quite a few so they quickly took over the dinning space which meant it was almost impossible to find somewhere to sit and eat. To be clear the students where not badly behaved or rude they were just being young students on an adventure in a foreign country so they were excited and very vocal. But maybe this should have been flagged when the booking was made? I was there for work wanted somewhere that was reasonably quiet - which definitely was not the case. This IBIS is on the junction of a very busy road and the room that I was given was very noisy from the traffic outside. Which meant I had to keep the window shut at all times. Also other guests who smoked seemed to congregate outside my window to smoke which was not very pleasant. When I first entered the room there was the over-riding smell of fabreeze and or plug in "glade" type room fresher, to cover the fact that someone had been smoking when they shouldn't have and or to cover the faint but unpleasant smell of drains which was intermittent through out my stay. Also the duvet and pillows were damp like they too had been sprayed The room was very tired with a sizeable water stain on the wall, marke around the mirror in the bathroom, rusty door mechanism, chipped bathroom door from previous damage which had not been properly fixed. An extractor that didn't work The Bedroom had dusty bedside lamps and a dirty stained window..There was small stains on the duvet - it had been laundered but obviously the stain had not been cleaned out. (This happened twice with supposed clean linen when the room had been serviced. Because of lack of room in the "restaurant/bar area I twice was forced into eating in my room on the first occasion when my room had been serviced they left the dirty plate and mug in my room. I had assumed that servicing a room meant that you removed such items as dirty plates and cutlery obviously not at this hotel you dont or at least not for me. I'm wasn't expecting 4 star luxury, but was was expecting cleanliness and a well kempt room. The mattress for my personal taste was far too soft and therefore sleeping on it was uncomfortable and didn't give one a good nights sleep. The pillows however were A1. The food was distinctly average and I would say not really that good a value for the money £12:00 for breakfast the plates you were given (I assume to control portion size) just a little bigger than a standard side plate. For £12:00 not very good in my view. Dinner menu again very average curry, hamburger, chicken skewers, jacket potato ranging from £7 up to nearly £12 again not very good value for money. One night I had

The bed was the best of all five hotels we stayed in during a week's holiday. The bathroom is like a plastic pod, however it's super clean and the shower was large. This was also the only hotel that had AC in the room, so it was easy to sleep since it was a very warm week. The colour scheme could probably be a bit more updated and the carpet felt a bit worn and not super clean, but for the price, I'd go there again. Hull is probably not a first choice for a holiday, but if you go there and just want a place to sleep, this is perfect. Close to Princess Quay and the centre.

Room and bed was comfortable and our late arrival was not a problem. Breakfast was self service and could have been hotter, although food was kept on hot plates, they didn’t appear to be working. The air conditioning was on in the dining room and it made it rather cool.

I recently visited the Ibis and the Hotel was clean and presentable, however we were extremely disappointed to find out that they no longer accept cash payments. This decision is incredibly inconvenient and disappointing. As a result our group would look to book as where in the future.

Had family staying in hospital in the area so arrived to the hotel late around 10.45pm check in was fast staff seemed nice and friendly. Room was ok, basic but comfortable. Slept for a few hours had a shower then headed back out early so didn’t really spend very long here over all. Bed was comfortable and I slept well I’d say it was value for money at £45

Ultimately you get what you pay for. We paid £90 for two nights and it’s what you would expect. Hotel and room are tired and in need of some TLC. Worn out carpets, mysterious stains on the walls, both in the room and outside on the signage near the door, tired paint work and chipped furniture. However the bed was comfy and clean. A quiet nights sleep once the window is closed with very good noise cancellation from the windows. Staff are friendly and welcoming, housekeepers say hello and smile. If you’re looking for somewhere to sleep and don’t expect to be staying in your room for more than an hour in the morning and evening it’s perfectly fine but anything more than that would be severely depressing
