We aren’t writing this review to give a bad rep, we are writing this to help people’s expectations when booking. We just stayed here for Valentines Day to get away from our daily norm. We have this as a tradition and have slept in many King Suites. This one is perhaps the smallest one we have stayed in. The bed is a true King and it takes up a LOT of room, the heater/AC is right beside the bed and quite noisy, so you may have to sleep close together on the opposite side. The pillows are really hard, but some people might like that. There is a strange draft and windy noise that hovers above near the ceiling that never goes away. The jacuzzi tub is great but be careful since the hot and cold knobs slide off as they are broken and not screwed in. You can watch the TV from either the tub or bed but the remote isn’t connected so you’ll have to dry off to change the volume or to turn it on and off. The customer service was good, so if you can settle for all of these things mentioned, enjoy :)

Fantastic location, comfortable bed, polite and friendly staff, clean rooms, and wonderful amenities. The only downside was the parking as it was cramped making getting out of your car difficult and coming with the risk of damaging the car parked next to you. Alex (at the AquaTerra) was fantastic, pacing the meal perfectly, engaging us without being overly familiar or obtrusive, and making great recommendations based on dietary considerations. The 2 queens with waterfront view were worth it as the picturesque views were calming at bedtime and a great way to start a day!

It's better than expected. It's just that I have to pay a deposit with a visa credit card. Cash is not acceptable. It's very troublesome. In the end, I can only ask a friend for help. But it's really close to the expressway entrance. The location is really OK.

Not our first time to the hotel. And definitely, not our last. Spacious, bright , clean rooms. Love the balcony overlooking the harbor. Highly recommend this hotel. Cant ask for better staff, reception, restaurant and of course the cleaning personnel. Special thanks to Ashlee ( hope I spelled that right) Our room was spotless and thanks for the question if you can do anything else for us. You made us feel very special. Also a big thank you to the server at breakfast. I am very sorry I did not catch your name. Breakfast was delicious ( thanks to the cook too ;) ).All in all , we will be back.

We stayed in the Sydenham tower suite- what a beautiful and special space! More than just another hotel room with its unique tower - made me feel like royalty. Complimentary cookies and beverages always available was another perk. The room was clean and well-appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but they were a little overwhelmed at breakfast and had a hard time keeping track of people and orders. Breakfast arrived cold- we would give breakfast a 7/10. The air conditioner was very noisy, turning on and off throughout the night. Despite these minor issues, we would happily stay there again and have no hesitation giving our stay a 5/5. We loved that they have retained the beauty and charm of a great Victorian mansion.

It wasn’t near much, but that was ok. Otherwise it likely would have cost more per night. Continental breakfast was pretty standard. Free coffee in lobby 24/7. New and clean. Nice decor. Free parking. Pool and hot tub were small but sufficient. Might be harder to use when busier. I was there on a weekday.

The hotel may be a remodeled old hotel with antiques and a very nice restaurant. The breakfast was quite rich in a small restaurant contracted by Indians. In short, this hotel is quite cost-effective, and it feels like an old-fashioned star hotel that lives above Samsung.

first off we visited the hotel during the coronavirus pandemic so there were things that were shut down due to this. The pool was available two customers on a booking schedule so you would book it for 45 minutes and the pool was your entire families which I thought was an excellent idea. since the hot tub could contribute to coronavirus it was shut down that was understandable and since the water slide needed a lifeguard they shut it down so there wouldn't be life guards with your family do to Corona and that was understandable as well. The hotel is located ten feet away from a small outlet mall which my wife light as well there were many fast food in casual restaurants nearby. If you wanted to be downtown you had about a five minute or so drive so it was not as good as some of the resorts on the waterfront but it was significantly better price and the rooms were excellent. Each room had a nice TV microwave and fridge..and was very spacious they had walk-in showers instead of bathtubs which I thought was an excellent idea. one thing to know they did not have a coffee maker in the room due to coronavirus issues ETC. They did not have any included breakfast as well but I got an excellent price thank you to trip.com. and that easily made up for no breakfast. overall trip.com saved me easily 50 Canadian dollars a night so compared to a riverfront hotel over $125 per night was saved. I felt this was well worth the inconvenience of being a 5 minute drive from downtown... parking downtown with no issue and typically was 4 to $5 so even when you tag in the gas to drive downtown the parking and everything I still saved an incredible amount of money for this very nicely appointed hotel I would recommend trip.com hands down and I would recommend this hotel unless you absolutely needed to be right downtown.

Very elegant hotel, surrounded by greenery. Breakfast is great: in addition to regular food, there are grilled vegetables and vegetable salads, and there are berries and blueberries in the fruit. The service is also good. When leaving, I tip the front desk and refused to accept it.

GGuest UserWow , this was such a lovely bed and breakfast , check in non contact , although we did meet a wonderful staff member when we arrived . We had room #1 , on the first floor , large window to view the side garden. The gardens and property are very nice. The porch was great for a drink or two. Later on at dusk the gas fire pit was running , very nice. This bed and breakfast built in 1849 -50 , all the charm you are looking for. You like stone this place has it. Nice sitting room . Without that old house smell. The room amenities , bed was nice , did not miss the TV and the bathroom was excellent. Great shower. The breakfast in the morning was excellent , sandwich ,cheese, fruit , croissants. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Thanks

OOnadellWe stayed at this lovely hotel for a sisters getaway and thoroughly enjoyed it. We wanted a place with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen so we could cook our own meals. It was more than we anticipated with lots of space and an amazing kitchen equipped for a large group with 2 ovens and 2 fridges as well as a long table for 8. It is located in a quiet area with lovely trees and landscaping. Spacious decks to enjoy and close to the downtown. The living room furniture could be more comfortable but otherwise it was great. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. 12 ft high ceilings made the rooms seem so elegant. Self check in worked well and any request we had was answered promptly. It was perfect for a retreat and we spent our time drinking tea and chatting. If anyone wants a place where they will be comfortable spending lots of time inside, it's perfect. This was our first visit but hopefully not our last. We stayed in the Whitney suite.

FFreedom00787003892My wife and I like to stretch out in hotels so the twin-bedroom suite at this hotel seemed the obvious choice when we visited Kingston. Unfortunately, this particular accommodation doesn't seem to get used much, as we learned gradually during our stay. First issue - the air conditioning unit in the shared lounge worked gangbusters, sending out a blast of cold air with a lot of noise, but virtually nothing made it into the rooms. A technician came quickly and discovered the vents had basically clogged shut. Second issue - the fan in the bathroom next to my room couldn't be shut off. There was no switch. I went downstairs and asked the person at the front desk whether I was mistaken and there was in fact a switch and he said he'd check. Whatever the results of the check, no one got back to me. So the droned on noisily through the night, making my life miserable. Third issue - my wife, a heavier sleeper than me, kindly offered to swap bedrooms. Throughout the night there was an intermittent clanging noise from above, as if a cord had come loose from a flag pole, or a panel in the air conditioning was flapping. The next morning I went down to the desk and asked them to look into it and they said they would. Again. no one ever got back to me, and whatever it was clanged away off and on the next two nights. My wife paid for these rooms - more than $2,000 Canadian for four nights (!) - and is a more forgiving soul than I am. Had this been on my tab there would have been a frank exchange with management and a request for a partial refund. As it is, we certainly won't be staying here again the next time we visit Kingston.

GGuest UserStayed at this hotel during both my daughters' graduations from Queen's since it was really close to the Leons Centre, where the ceremonies were held. -Hotel is very close to everything, walking distance to alot of restaurants and we were even able to walk to Queen's campus. -Breakfast was included and it came in take-out containers that we picked up in their cafeteria in the morning. It included a muffin, 2 boiled eggs, cheese, fruit and a juice. You could also order coffee or tea with it. -Hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly. Only thing I did not like was that there were too many people hanging around the hotel steps during the day and night, not sure if they were transients or patrons staying at the hotel. -Parking was about $20 per day underground but you can also park across the street for much cheaper. Their underground parking was very limited but we always managed to get a parking spot every day. -Our hotel room was very clean, Yes it looked kind of dated but you can tell that they had made some renovations to it. We had a city view and it overlooked downtown Kingston. Had no issues with A/C. Bathroom had no vent so when we showered, the steam from the shower made our floor wet due to condensation I guess? -There was no housekeeping but they did change our towels daily. Overall, an average hotel and it served its purpose for our stay.

FFANKingston is the only way to go from Toronto to Quebec. You can choose to stay for one night. On a cloudy day, I took a cruise on the Qiandao Lake. The scenery is not deep. I also blame the previous Raiders for not doing well. On the side of Ston, Gananoque, which is 30 kilometers away, is equivalent to driving more than 30 kilometers forward from Toronto to take a boat, and after driving another 30 kilometers, come back to live, and leave 30 kilometers I knew it was like this. It ’s better to live in Gananoque. The town over there is particularly beautiful. Kingston is just for a short visit. It's over. Well, back to the hotel, after all, the wrong location is not the hotel's fault. The hotel location is near the pier, a few minutes walk, the city hall and the old post office are nearby, the location is excellent, of course, Kingston is not large, as Canada is the most suitable place for the elderly, there are only four types of people here, senior students and soldiers And mortals, the whole city is leaking a kind of desolate wind, like the United States in the 1980s and 1990s, the hotel downstairs is a shop for renting audio tapes. There is a parking lot downstairs at the hotel. The fee is CAD 18 a day. I am distressed. The place to eat nearby is fine. There is a Chinese restaurant not far away. Many students come to eat. A ten-minute drive from Kingston can go to the local Wal-Mart. It is very large and has a full range of products. All of our health care products are purchased here. After all, the tax in Quebec becomes higher. The interior of the room was quite large, with a small balcony, and it was very quiet. The sanitary conditions were good. It was quite satisfactory, but after checking out the next day, I still charged 10.58 yuan more for each room, because I have a right every day. The habit of billing, contacted Ctrip to ask, and asked for a few days, the hotel said that it was wrongly received, overcharged, pit! If you do n’t find it, you will be charged for no reason. Friends must not be lazy and reconcile after leaving the hotel every day! Because no matter what hotel you check in, you need to receive pre-authorization. When you check out, it will be released. If there is normal consumption, such as parking fees, you will receive receipt, which will be deducted directly from the pre-authorization. This place did not give me a bill other than the parking fee. I actually overcharged me without complaints. As of now, two weeks have passed, and the refund has not been received. Ctrip said it will take about a month. It ’s a good pit. I can only think I ’m out of luck, so I still give this hotel points. Also remind everyone to be optimistic about the bill.
