I use P.Inns a lot - not by choice - but for convenience. If there was more choice I'd choose another chain. But - this one - is shocking. I had a Room on 3rd floor - way down a long corridor. Cutting straight to the point - the bed (two singles attached - had a broken brass connector which I caught my ankle on; bathroom was filthy with mould and mildew; one of the towels was used by previous occupant and left as a 'clean' towel.Winows filthy; curtains drab and far from clean. Then there's the food - my god - that was shocking. Poor service; drab food; not enough staff on to meet customer demand - so the bar man served drinks and delivered food to table cold. I could go on. All I want to warn prospective customers is - DON'T DO IT! - its terrible outside also. Bins haven't been emptied for days. Pics attached.

We stayed in a newly refurbished room. Looked lovely. The electricity didn’t work, somebody came to fix it and the card slot fell off the wall. The light on vanity mirror didn’t work and had to shake hairdryer to make it work. Thick dust on skirting boards. Wallpaper coming off walls around lift area and stains on wall. Looked as though something had been spilled and not cleaned. Really filthy.

Terrible reception greeting, the lady just blurted out (NAME). The room was tacky, scuff marks every where, some of the ceiling tiles were in a terrible state (we have photos of this) One of the lights in the bedroom not working. To have a shower you had to climb into the bath and there was no slip mat on the bottom of the bath (archaic) Slip hazard. Bad nights sleep due to the air conditioning running which you had to use as the windows do not open. When we left there was no one at reception (we waited but nobody came) so we had to leave are key cards on the reception desk, hopefully this was registered that they were returned. Generally a very bad experience.

Room was fine. No issues with cleanliness or mould as others have reported. Bed was comfortable and we had a great view out over the race course. The 5 stars are down to 3 purely because of the very poor breakfast, which is the first time we have ever had issues with breakfast in a Premier Inn. The restaurant was poorly lit, dismal, sticky tables and floor. Hardly a choice of cereal, had to ask for milk, then juice, then water as no food ever seemed to get replenished. The so called hot food was tepid at best and again had to ask for plates. If it hadn't been for us taking some croissants and cake with us for our lunch then we would have asked for a refund. We would stay again but go out for breakfast or nip to Tesco for a breakfast sandwich.

I stayed a couple of nights for work reasons, The hotel and facilities were adequate for my needs. I walked from the rail station which took 15 minutes. My room was 328 on the top floor. It was comfortable but some areas could have been cleaned better. The bathroom floor had some dirt from the previous occupier, there were spots of mould in some areas of the bathroom. This could have been removed by a clean cloth. Everything else was tidy and clean. TV and air cond/heating worked well. Staff were all very friendly and the restaurant served my needs for 2 x breakfasts and dinners. Ryan and Josh did a grand job in the evenings on their own. I saw a young chap with brown hair in the mornings on his own. All very polite and friendly. They provided a great service and explained the menu options well. For the price I paid with the meal deal I was happy. The restaurant does hold a lot more potential though.

Sleep ok room not great. Hairdryer not been pat tested since January 24 I know it has to be done yearly. Carpet gripper showing in a family room spikes showing not very safe. Would not stop in this premier inn again pick the Paignton premier inn instead.

Grumpy restaurant staff, very poor breakfast selection. Mould round bedroom window, grout in bathroom and bottom of shower curtain. Only had 1 towel to share between the 2 of us! The extractor fan in bathroom was covered in thick layer of dust. the 2nd room on our booking was worse, broken ceiling tiles and hairs in bath.

No sleep In room 120 unfortunately person above us 220 decided to get their steps in by walking round their room in their heels all night. Selfishly they knew what they were doing stamping round the room, ruining our sleep, hence poor review as the team were lovely on checkin, room was clean and tidy as always, but if you can’t sleep it’s no good, sadly

Why is this hotel still open? On booking i said my partner was disabled and has difficulty in walking to far. I know there is a lift having stayed there before. We ended up half way down a corridor. The hotel manager said "You should have booked a disabled room then." Breakfast on the Friday was awful. We found dirty sticky carpets. We were asked what we would like and we ordered 2 full breakfast with 2x fried eggs and the other with 2x pouched eggs. They both came with pouched eggs. The beans were cold, cold hash browns, cold shrivelled over cooked bacon. This was reported to the manager who said "We are waiting for the refurbishment". I went to use the toilet in the Beefeater restaurant and there were no lights also my horror there was no seat on the toilet and excrement everywhere. The next toilet wasn't any better with excrement piled above the water line. I asked the manager if the toilets are supposed to be out of order as there was no sign to state it. The manager said "the staff have probably forgotten to turn the lights on". I asked the manager if they cared to take a walk across with me and look at the state of the toilets. They said they will get it sorted. Checking on the Friday still no signs had been put up and nothing had been done. Our room. I reported the 3x shower gels were empty and it didn't look very clean. Finger prints over the doors and tv screen, dirt on skirting boards and dirt/mold around the shower screen 1 light shade hanging off the light fitting by the toilet and only half a toilet roll. The manager said they would get house cleaning in layer that day. No cleaning was done. 1x shower gel was filled and 1x toilet roll left. When we have stayed at this hotel before I was brilliant service. No I want to know with this level of customer service why is it still open? Our experience this time has been horrific.
