Sunrise Cove Holiday Apartments by Kingscliff Accommodation

Unit 11 in Sunrise Cove is very dirty. The shower filthy. Fridge door, lounge chairs and patio dirty. Had to have it recleaned but the shower floor is still dirty. The only good thing with this unit is the view from the patio. Will never book again …..just terrible. Hate to think what the black coloured carpet is like in the bedroom😬

Our unit was very disappointing for the high price paid. Expected 4 star luxury and barley made 3. 'NO' Air Conditioning. Stayed here 4 years ago and was optimistic that things would have improved, I was wrong. Frypans in a very poor state, looks like they have not been updated since our last visit. Oven does not work, but the grill does. The shower screen leaked to much, nearly the whole bathroom floor gets wet and the extractor fan does not work. This unit could be a 5 star with a little TLC and spending a tiny bit of its income on some more comfortable facilities and furniture. However the bed was comfortable, the views and location is excellent. Dining suite perfect for a large family meal, a game or similar if you are travelling in a group. Great for the middle aged as there is not much there for Party People or young children apart from the beach. For us, the location was perfect, quiet, handy to shops and restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. I would think twice about staying here during the summer months without an A/C to cool the place down a bit or a decent arm chair to relax in.

What a nice little surprise this place was! We stayed for 4 nights- clean airy bright- pool that the kids didn't get out of... just magic for a family get away not too far from Brisbane. Most other occupants were with kids and the walk to the beach was effortless

We have just returned home after a 2 night stay at no 21 Sunrise Cove. A lovely break away spoilt by the standard of the accommodation and lack of service provided by management. Cleanliness was appalling. None of the floors had been mopped. The kitchen floor had a big lump of mud-like substance. God knows it was. We had to clean it up using wet wipes. The verandah was dirty and needed to be mopped. We had to wash all the dishes as they had not been cleaned - eg all glassware had finger marks and coffee/tea cups were stained. The staining came off when washed properly. No washing up liquid provided so we had to buy our own to clean the dishes The bathrooms were dirty and had to be cleaned before we could use them. When we arrived the A/C was going full blast, so much so that the mirror in the lounge was totally obscured by condensation and all the glasses in the kitchen cupboards were soaking with condensation. We phoned 5 times to the provided number to report the problem but no one ever answered our calls. We left a message on the answer system but still did not receive a response. We ended up walking into town and reporting the issue at the El Paradiso reception. It was not fixed during our stay though someone did turn up on day 2 of our 3 day stay so that we could explain the issue in detail. We just had to switch it off using the isolator switch. Hence, the apartment was not air conditioned during our stay. When you are paying over $390 per night you expect at least 4 star accommodation and service, not 1 star or less. The operational management and administration of the place is very poor and is doing a huge disservice to both owners and holiday makers. It's appalling.

We stayed in Apartment 21, a 2 bedroom first floor apartment. the apartment was in a state of disrepair and was filthy dirty. I’ve listed below just a few of the issues and attached some photographs. There was a broken floor tile in the kitchen and the floor was filthy with broken grout and black dirt The dish drainer was mouldy and there was nothing to wash dishes or wipe surfaces, just a few packets of powder for the dishwasher The crockery and utensils in the kitchen were dirty, and some were broken There was no lightbulb in the lamp There were dead flowers in a vase The toilets were stained and the toilet seat cracked and stained The shower was mouldy and the screen dirty There was dirt, dust and hair in the corners of all the rooms and on skirting boards The walls was stained with finger prints, mould and general dirt The curtain pole was broken and the windows dirty There were ripped pillows and old bed linen in the wardrobes. The floors throughout were dirty and sandy and we saw several cockroaches running around We paid $540 for one night and we didn’t even want to take a shower because of the unhygienic state of the bathrooms. We’re disappointed, angry and feel ripped off. I understand that some properties may be a little bit old and tired but there’s no excuse for them not to be clean and well maintained. The location and views are fantastic but the state of the property really took the enjoyment out of the weekend.

Honestly for $490.00 a night plus $$20.00 for parking acomadation it really bad. We were told our room was ready it was not. See pictures i was worried about the reviews. And they are pretty true. Accomodation is really bad. There is not even milk for a coffee. Do not stay here.
