I requested a pick-up service to the accommodation on Trgp.com, but it never came. It seems that communication with the accommodation was not going well. I think the accommodation itself is very good in that jungle. Meeting animals is down to luck.

Our guide Rondel was amazing we saw everything including elephants, orangutan, crocodiles, proboscis monkey, monkeys, otters, hornbills and many other birds- so good do every river cruise as we saw different animal on each trip - amazing! did the two night three day stay in a delux cabin.

When we first arrived we were disappointed by all the palm oil plantations before the resort. We soon put at ease by the amazing staff and their obvious love for the jungle and the animals in the surrounding area. Our guide Rondel (not sure of the spelling) was fantastic, very safe and passionate about his job, he has significant experience in the area and it showed. We saw far more than we ever expected, don’t miss any of the river cruises, they are all different and all see different animals. The accommodation was more than suitable and made you feel apart of the jungle with the occasional monkey running across your roof and the trumpeting of bull elephants in the middle of the night adding to the experience. Food was very good and plentiful. Don’t go as a tour group, book directly with the resort you will be better looked after.

I visited last year and liked it so much that I came again the following year. Both times I managed to see the Bornean Big 5 on the river cruises. The night walks proved to be great as well including sightings of the slow loris and tarsier. The food was great, especially the pepper rice and dough balls. The room was spacious and fit the vibe of the rainforest, even including a live plant in the room. Would be great if there were more options of wine or alcohol during dinner or afternoon downtime, but besides that I will visit again next year!

A big highlight of my time in Borneo!! I booked the 3D2N tour and stayed in the private deluxe room, which included a pickup & drop off to Sandakan city, all meals and the cruises and jungle walk. We had the same group the whole time and our dedicated guide was Ryan - he was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the natural wildlife. He was able to spot animals so easily where I could have easily looked straight passed them and not noticed! We were so lucky and saw all the “Borneo five” in the wild and more - orangutan, pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, crocodile and hornbill birds - plus other beautiful kingfisher birds, eagles, various monkeys, monitor lizards and more. These few days were so special and one I’ll never forget - definitely worth the trip. The accommodation was also very comfortable, I was pleasantly surprised. My room was very clean, spacious and had air conditioning. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe staying here. The all included meals were good too, as a vegetarian they always had a special meal prepared for me and pointed out everything in the buffet that was vegetarian (plenty of options!). Additional activities: I also booked the night cruise where we spotted some nocturnal animals, including a baby crocodile and some sleeping monkeys and birds. It was a very unique experience and so different to the daytime cruises. I also opted to plant a local fig tree in the jungle to help the local ecosystem continue to thrive. Both were great experience and well worth the small extra fees for the memories you’ll gain!

Stayed for two nights and it was amazing. Rooms were clean , had great AC and the pressure from the shower was better than most hotels which was a big suprise seen as you're in the middle of a jungle. The river cruises and night walks were a great experience. Our guide Rian was excellent he was so knowledgeable. He manged to get us a sighting of ALL the Borneo big 5 and his trick for luring a wild cat from a tree during our night walk was amazing. Everyone in the group manage to get a good look.

We stayed at this hotel as part of Newmarket holidays tour for just 2 nights. We were a large group of 26. What you get to see makes it all worth it and why I give 4 stars. We were not expecting 5* luxury this was not what the trip was about. Accommodation was comfortable if not basic but the shower was very powerful so you got a good sleep and hot shower. The feedback to resort to improve the stay; You need new bigger towels and these need replacing daily. You need a sign about no food in room as it attracts mice and rats!! You need a fridge in room im diabetic and needed to store medication so I had to store in the lobby fridge. I think the resort are missing not having a bar! And running out of water, and soft drinks was not great. Also serving warm soft drinks no fun. Alcohol very limited I would suggest people bring there own from airports as local stores don't really stock much. The resort need to build some more seating and sun loungers on the main deck and bar fully stocked they would make a fortune! And make the stay more enjoyable. At present no Where to sit other than your bed or the area you eat on hard chairs. Food was not great and very spicy. A few more western options required. Overall staff friendly and seeing elephants etc totally made our stay the boat rangers are amazing.
