The hotel has everything to be great but staff is not yet trained to deal with client.
I had in this place the worst experience ever from the time I’ve arrived in the hotel.
The receptionist was rude to me, we had to escalate the situation and then manager come to solve it but it totally messed our night with the reception misunderstanding.

This hotel is not well-known among Chinese tourists. I saw it by chance, and it turned out to be the most surprising hotel in the entire Sri Lanka trip! It is really small and exquisite, and all the layouts are very stylish. It is worthy of being the hotel where the Queen of England once stayed. Without mentioning other places, just one small detail, the hotel is by the lake, there are many wild animals such as monkeys and squirrels, but there is really no mosquito. It is extremely pleasant to sit by the lake and watch the sunset. From this detail, it can be seen that the hotel management has really worked hard~ The only thing is that the hotel wifi needs to be logged in again after a long time of non-use, which is a bit troublesome, but the speed is good~

Our stay at EKHO Lake House Polonnaruwa was nothing short of magical. The serene lake views and lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with a great view on the lake (even from the small pool). Rooms luxurious and spacious. Location couldn’t be better for visiting Polonnaruwa, almost next to the museum entrance. Meals very well, nice staff. Loved this place. Highly recommended if you are looking for a luxurious place.

We wished that we stayed a couple more days .The Hotel is on a beautiful Manmade ancient lake bund overlooking a sea of freashwater and mountains on the background ! Rooms are well furbished .Toilets were super clean . The Restaurant had an awesome 180 degree view on the lake and the food was also amazing ! They cook some great Fushion food ! The Staff were super helpful and attentive to all details . Would stay there if we go that way again for sure !

I had an incredible stay at EKHO Lake House Polonnaruwa! The property is breathtaking, with beautiful views of the lake and a serene atmosphere that made our stay unforgettable. A special mention goes to Mr. Nuwan, the manager, and his fantastic team, who went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and personalized service truly made us feel at home. From the delicious food to the well-maintained facilities, everything exceeded our expectations. We had a supper stay in the Ekho Lake House. We had rooms in the King Parakramabahu Wing - v spacious, clean and overlooked the lake. The pool was great for an evening dip and the terrace perfect for drinks watching the sunset across the lake. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - well located for all that the area has to offer.
