Unfortunately I will not recommend this establishment. Room facilities are poor. Bedding needs upgrading, tv's don't work, no wash basin plug Too loud music until late, they should not have rooms so close to restaurant/entertainment area. Not a good place to stay even for 1 night.

Very comfortable bed, duvet cover had a cigarette burn, but good quality inner. Could do with some bathroom mats in the winter and larger coffee cups. Otherwise, neat and tidy, had a good nights' rest.

I chose Diggies because it had a restaurant on site as this is the first time that I was in Kimberley on holiday. We came into Kimberley from Bloem and the google maps told me to turn left into Lanbou Road. What a shocking road. Pot holes and dirt road part of the way but Diggies was very easy to find.

I was looking forward to staying over at a well-known establishment, only to be - once again - the victim of exploitation. Not being a regular in terms of television viewing, I assume I would find the latest sports news. I can truly say that the changed television bouquet was the worst I have ever encountered at a guest house. And as with other instances of exploitation, which have become a definitive characteristic of South African culture - the decision was swift: it was my last stay at Diggies.

Hey, it's R600/night, so you can't expect the Ritz Carlton, however there are a few basics that were not done that shows a distinct lack of interest in their guest's experience. Such as; how much trouble would it have been to clean the ashtray of the previous inhabitant's cigarette buts? Is two bedside tables too much to expect (especially since the one provided was obviously hammered together from spare pieces of shutter board by someone who failed Shop Class at school...). What use is a coffee station if there is no coffee, tea or anything else? I understand the need for sanitizing, but does it need to leave the room smelling like a public toilet? And don't go near the soap provided... The 'undercover parking' is also an example of a DIY project gone wrong. Be very careful when driving in and out since it seems to have been specifically designed to catch your vehicle somewhere in a blind-spot. This brings us to reception... Having done our reservations on *********** everything was organised so I asked my wife to just run in and get the keys. After ten minutes she came out empty handed and said she will not be treated this way, so I went in. I was met by a VERY surly lady (and I use Lady in the loosest sense of the word!) who glared at me from behind the counter and asked what I wanted. I indicated our Booking reservation (done the day before and paid) and she showed me some paper on which was written that I should still pay (apparently a delay between Booking and them). She then proceeded to tell me that she is not in the habit of giving keys to people who do not pay for their accommodation. Well, things kind of went downhill from there... O, and stay clear of the restaurant. A typical case of quantity over quality and all came out of a supermarket frozen food section. No, stay well clear of this dump.

The place really offers value for money and the rates are fairly priced. Also to mention, the burger I had was so well prepared and tasty, I would go back for that anytime. Otherwise the place is quiet and peaceful. Pity the roads leading to the place are not well maintained with lots of potholes.
