We organised a family breakfast yesterday and as it was a large gathering I rang ahead to book/let them know in advance. The service was slow and the food was OK but overall it was a pleasant experience as the focus was on us all being together. As my brother was walking out afterwards he overheard staff giving out about 'that crowd' using language I can't repeat on this. I'm absolutely disgusted to hear this and it will be our last trip to the Cill Aodain.

Enjoyed our stay here at Cill Aodain Court Hotel. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and pleasant. Great restaurant with lots of options and close to Knock (10 min drive). On street parking available. Would highly recommend to all.

I thoroughly enjoyed my five night stay. A lovely welcome from Sylwia on reception. Born in Poland, she clearly loves Ireland and was so knowledgable about the country. She told me about the sea glass on Achill Island. I meant to get a picture! Breakfasts were excellent with good choice and again friendly staff. My room was at back of hotel so very peaceful. The one evening meal I had at the hotel was again very good. Keelan at the bar was friendly and easy to talk to so I perhaps had one or two more beers than intended! Very convenient for my favourite bar, Teach O’Hora, all of thirty yards away. Highly recommend place to stay in this lovely town.

Called in for Sunday lunch place was doing a good trade lots of people in. We had main course and desert which was priced around normal €18/19. Dessert menu was grand with 6/7 choices. Plenty of staff on the go. Toilets bit dated and not maybe as clean as you’d expect with stale smell. One thing we found strange after ordering we were told that we couldn’t have stuffing with the Lamb or Beef that we ordered. This was 1pm and so what we would consider early in the day to be running out of trimmings 🤔

We are returning customers and stayed here recently for a family birthday celebration. Despite it being one of the busiest weekends of the year for the team , they still managed to give us top class treatment. The staff are all so nice & friendly & can’t do enough for you. Food was also delicious. Proper Irish hospitality.

Stayed here last night for work. Staff friendly however jeez the NOISE! Room 103 directly across from the towns most popular pub means drunk mfs screaming on the street until 3am. Poor insulation meant that I could hear every single thing an elderly couple were saying to each other in the room above me including 1) how he went to the toilet too often amd is was annoying HER (for me it was like a herd of elephants) and it was annoying her 2) his incessant cough felt like I was on a public ward somewhere during tuberculosis. Needless to day, I turned up to work on Sunday morning exhausted. Suggestion to owners: close down and refurbish including noise insulation between rooms.

Booked hotel for one night, received a call the next day askeling was there anything the hotel could do for us before our arrival, I requested a quiet room, lady said no problem. Arrived at hotel, put on the third floor and no lift in the hotel. For two OAPs this was ridiculous. Room was at the back of the hotel. Very dated decor. Dirty carpets, torn curtains (see photos), bin not emptied after last guests flies flying around the bin). Guests next door switched on fan or shower at 11.50pm. Rang reception at 12.30am to say about noise, they rang back to say guests were not answering the door. Reception rang again at 12.40am asking could we move to another room, absolutely ridiculous and we not the problem. Fan finally switched off at 8.50am the next morning. Breakfast didn't provide cereals, juice, jams and the pure minimum of food. Never seen the like of it before. I've paid the same money for other hotels and had a much better experience. Certainly will not be returning. Very disappointing. A lot of work needed to upgrade this hotel to bring it up to standard.
