This hotel is superbly well managed by Michael and his team! They deliver great service and a high end Scottish experience. The location is excellent on the waters edge of Loch Lomond. No shortage of things to do for the active through to those seeking relaxation. Highly recommended. Thank you to Michael and the whole team!

Arrived by car to a real jam of arriving vehicles around 4pm and ended up moving the car to a car park and carrying the cases some distance Long queue to check in compounded by the hotel system not taking amex Room very nice - but as you would expect for 600 £ package of dinner b&b Dinner excellent. Bar excellent Breakfast big buffet - just like a hilton ir marriott Pool great for kids Setting spectacular BUT too impersonal to leave a special lasting impression.

We recently stayed at Cameron House Hotel on June 2nd to celebrate my birthday. Our evening included a reservation at the Cameron Grill for 8.15pm - not a late reservation. The starter was delightful, setting high expectations for the rest of the meal. However, the experience quickly soured. Halfway through our main course, waitresses began setting up for breakfast around us. This not only ruined the ambiance but also made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. Adding to the discomfort, dirty tables around us were left unattended for over 30 minutes. We mentioned this to staff who very uncomfortably apologised but did nothing to stop the set up - this was only around 9.30pm. Feeling increasingly uneasy, we asked if we could enjoy our dessert in the bar area, explaining that it was my birthday. To our dismay, we were told, “the bar manager said no.” Even after we reiterated that it was a special occasion, the restaurant staff made a second attempt but returned with the same disappointing response: “even our best people couldn’t change the bar manager’s mind.” When we went to the bar, we found only three other patrons there, which would not have affected the service or atmosphere if we had been allowed to have our dessert there. We flagged our concerns with the management and were promised a follow-up, but we have yet to hear back. Overall, the lack of flexibility and consideration on such a special day was deeply disappointing. What should have been a memorable celebration was marred by poor service and an indifferent attitude. I hope Cameron House takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service. We really hoped for more from a 5 star hotel.

I booked this as a special treat for my father in laws 85th birthday tour of Scotland. I was very impressed upon arrival at the beauty of the location and the building. It started with confusion as there were no signs of where to go once on the estate etc. we were welcomed wonderfully by the lovely Dougie in his grand attire and friendly welcoming smile - taking our bags and taking our keys for the parking valet service. But the friendliness stopped there. It was a gloom dull welcome from the receptionists who gave me no information and I felt like I was doing an interview with them just to find out where I could go and what I could do at the hotel! She barely directed us to our rooms ( which were a ridiculously long way away when I stipulated my father in law was 85 and needed minimal distance from reception)! We did get lost on the way as there are no decent signage at all in the whole hotel. We didn’t know if we could swim without an extra fee - we didn’t know if we have breakfast included - we didn’t know when - we didn’t know what facilities they had … all in all it just seems really poorly ‘organised’. Having come from the yachting world where 5* means total assistance so you can relax on your holiday - I didn’t feel that at all on our stay. We didn’t feel like paying customers - merely staff coming to find their bunks ! I loved the location and the venue . I wish they would improve on their signage, support , friendliness and simple explanations. Not even information packs in the rooms. The tv showed videos of activities but no info on how to do them. And reception took minimum of 10-15 mins each time to answer the phone . I personally don’t think I would stay here again as there are so many much better serviced hotels with just as beautiful grounds for the similar price band- but with much better organised facilities and much friendlier staff. Breakfast food standard was excellent - but service was not ‘on it’ .. we didn’t get our tea until we finished our meal and no one replenished our cutlery after first serving -until we asked. The highlight was the lady at Jthe desk Joanne who was the main reason we left smiling. I do hope our comments are read as it has potential to be the most amazing place.

I stayed at Cameron House with a group of friends as the finale of a trip around Scotland to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We were looked after from the moment we arrived, and made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed an afternoon in the spa and an evening in the Great Scots bar. Great staff and service at both. The bar had an excellent selection of wine and cocktails, and sitting outside looking out over Loch Lomond as we enjoyed our drinks was a highlight. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, and was so hearty that it carried us through to dinner. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, and the hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy all of the surrounding area has to offer. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was roomy, clean and comfortable. It was definitely the perfect place to celebrate our special occasion. We are already talking about when we can come back!

Hosted here for 1 night. Plenty of free car parking and the quite recent addition of 8 EV chargers in car park 1 (chargeable see chargers for details). Reception welcome was functional rather than warm. My room was in the modern vast extension and was modern, fresh, spacious, light and comfortable. Everything needed was there and the bed was so comfortable. Shower (no bath on reflection) was powerful rainshower style. And, naturally, based on location the night was peaceful and the blackout curtains worked a treat. Complimentary bottled water and payable mini bar only filled up by request. I could see the leisure area including pool and it all looked very nice. Also the bar was a lovely place with external balcony. Breakfast next morning in the grill was excellent and, as I was a bit early as needed to get away, was able to pick from what was available a little ahead of opening. Checkout was fast and easy. Definitely a significant premium to come here, partly location led but also reflective of premium product.

We simply did not have a 5 star experience at this hotel. It is overpriced for the quality of the hotel itself ( smell from the pool permeates the corridors ) and the food. The staff were very pleasant but seemed inexperienced. We would not visit again.

Went to the Vista restaurant ( Boatyard) as the whole of the main hotel was taken over for a private corporate function for 3 days. The vista restaurant is poor. Formula food. Supposed to be Italian though you’d expect mostly local produce? The only seafood starter was stuffed squid… 2 tiny baby squid but hardly a portion. We were, however, also given a starter we didn’t order. The only fish on the menu is swordfish… usually a tropical fish . Anyway, it was probably frozen and not fresh as it doesn’t come from UK waters. On our bill were three lagers and crisps which weren’t ours. These were deducted. Experience wasn’t great. Certainly not a 4 star hotel meal even if only at the boathouse.
