Lovely accomodation with all the creature comforts. Lovely large bathroom with deep bath. Gorgeous large private balcony with day bed. Very generous tea supplied, bottles of water and sparking tea complimentary! A $50 voucher to purchase goodies at their lovely in house bakery. The spa was amazing ( best head massage and hair cocoon treatment). Dinner was great. Amazing seafood quality. Nothing really to complain about. Will return. Shout out the front desk, Hank is so helpful.

The lodges We were met by Caine and Amy with a welcoming smile on arrival at reception. Let me start by saying how amazing our stay at the bells “lodges” was in particular banksia lodge, From the moment you walk in you are met with an opulent setting of the highest of standards, the finishes are extremely divine, the attention to detail is amazing with beautiful timber fixtures complimented by the warmth of travertine throughout Two extra large master suites with huge beds and beautiful quality linen leading to incredible bathrooms with freestanding baths and the tiles and tapware are simply stunning, each of the master suite bathrooms leads out to large private daybeds. There is a fully equipped kitchenette downstairs leading out to the alfresco dining table and high end quality bbq and all met by a magnificent heated pool, with a beautiful integrated water fall and warm ambient lighting at night, there’s also a fully equipped laundry in the lodge if needed. Then after a walk up the grand timber staircase seeing bold lighting fixtures you are met with huge timber trusses that are a statement piece to be seen. The kitchen fit out is amazing with stone, marble and copper and fully equipped with beautiful crockery and stocked with everything that you could possibly want or need. The lounge room is warm and inviting and sitting back and taking it all in with the log fire place and all of the most modern technology that you could ever need, you are amazed at the attention to detail. What a surprise to walk out on to the balcony to then discover a staircase up to a private observation outdoor lounge area with beautiful views over the stunning coastline and looking across the ocean at the northern beaches. It’s truly breathtaking We spent the afternoon by the pool whilst enjoying the complimentary canapés and welcome drinks, one could truly forget where one is in this beautiful setting. It was hard to leave this setting but we were off to dinner at the bells restaurant where we were met by Michael with a warm smile and led to our table overlooking an amazing garden with lush green expansive lawns and gardens. It was a hard decision to choose what to eat as everything sounded scrumptious. We started with fruits der mer, followed by steak tartare which is a performance in itself as Michael prepared it all in front of us and described all the ingredients as it unfolded And it was delicious. It was then onto the main course of wagyu rump cap which was cooked to perfection with sides of green beans and sauté potato’s and as we were so excited to return to the lodge we had a selection of cheeses beautifully prepared and displayed in a hand crafted wooden box to take with us. Also to mention we received a call from Caine while in the lodge on arrival to ask us what newspaper we would like and if we would like a loaf of freshly baked sour dough or focaccia from the bells bakery baked and delivered to our lodge in the morning. We started our second day with

We have just left Bells at Killcare after a 2 night stay with our very close friends visiting from London. We booked the two bedroom cottage. We are fussy travellers having been fortunate enough to stay in some beautiful hotels including many of the Luxury hotels in Australia. Our travelling companions own a successful restaurant in London so food is always an important consideration in our travel choices. Bells of Killcare exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Rooms were comfortable, private and very spacious. Staff were excellent with no exceptions! Food was excellent. Overall they were very generous in what they offered

Stayed for 2 days for a work conference. The suite was across 2 floors with the living area, kitchenette and bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. The stairs are quite narrow and may not be suitable for older guests. Whilst adequately furnished, there were aspects of the suite which were tired and in need of a thorough clean. The staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast menu provided a reasonable range of options but service was a bit slow during peak time. The dedicated parking space outside the suite was a convenience and there is otherwise plenty of onsite parking. Overall, adequate for an overnight work trip.

The rooms are ready comfortable, including a big plush but firm bed. Our room also had a fireplace which was great for the cold winter nights. The cottage was clean, cozy and just perfect for a quiet getaway. As for the restaurant, everything was great. For breakfast, the highlight was the ocean trout and bacon. For dinner, the highlight was the carpaccio and salt baked snapper. Finally the property itself felt very secluded and private, even though the restaurant is open to the public. There's a grassy courtyard which was perfect for a picnic lunch which was funded by a $50 credit we received to use in the pantry. The only downside is there is a chicken farm on property. The roosters will crow all morning which may bother you if you're sensitive to noise. Overall it was a nice stay and we'll come back!

We are visiting from UK and Bells was highly recommended by friends who had had dinner there last week. We arrived about 12 noon and hoped to have coffee and a lite lunch/bite. The Bell Bakery is part of the hotel and is signposted on the main road. Having travelled all the way from Sydney, specifically to visit this place, on arrival at the cafe, we were told by the server (politely and very embarrassed) that we could not enjoy coffees and pastries on the premises but that we could ‘take/away’! (Buy, but sit in our car). We asked if we could have our refreshments in the garden, ‘no’ was the answer. The hotel looked delightful but was quiet, and I could see only one car in the car park and there was only one table occupied by guests in the cafe terrace. When we enquired if they would make an exception as it was obviously very quiet, the server said ‘no’. The thing was, that we were hoping to do some sightseeing and then shortly after, return for lunch, but this experience was enough not to return. Seriously short-sighted policy by this business which was, it would seem, be a victim of their own ‘residents only’ rule as the place was deserted!! Such a shame.

We had such a enjoyable stay at Bells at Killcare, only wished it could have been much longer. We stayed in a Garden Villa with an Enjoy Package which included breakfast for two in the beautiful Hotel Restaurant. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive but certainly not intrusive. The breakfast choice was quite amazing and thoroughly enjoyable. The villa was very spacious with cosy living and kitchenette area, a very comfortable bed with quality linen and the most gorgeous bathroom. The Garden Villa also has a lovely furnished alfresco deck equipped with a barbecue. The gardens at Bells are just stunning to wander around, so relaxing too. The ladies at Reception were extremely friendly upon arrival, extending the most incredible welcome, offering speciality tea whilst they sit to chat about your stay at Bells, even offering to take a photo in the garden on the day we checked out. A wonderful stay, hoping to return in the future and highly recommended as a stay in Kilcare.
