This is an excellent, well run hotel. We booked two rooms for two nights over the Bank Holiday weekend in August and could not fault anything. Staff friendly and natural, superb breakfast with excellent selection of fresh berries etc., full Irish breakfast cooked to order, very obliging breakfast and reception staff. Rooms are very spacious, our rooms had small seating area with ovely views out on the street where we could watch the hustle and bustle of Killarney life at it's best. No late night noise either. I have stayed in other hotels in Killarney and would rate this over and above many of the 4 star properties and would defintely return. Good value as well.

We arrived in Killarney with no accommodation booked so wondered into the first hotel we found! The young lady on reception (sorry I didn't catch your name, but you were blonde with a brilliant sense of humour!) was really helpful and accommodating and found us a very nice room at a reasonable rate. In fact the bed was by far the biggest and most comfortable we've had all week! It's the perfect location for a wander around the town too, so give it a go! Thanks to all at McSwiney Arms for a lovely stay.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in this hotel. Room 302 which was spacious and comfortable Hotel has a fabulous breakfast with great choice and more fruit than i’ve ever seen laid out ! Its centrally situated and sadly that means restricted parking but nearby only charged 3 euros a day and was free from 6pm - 8.30am Staff were very friendly and its handy having a pub attached

We stayed at 5 hotels in Ireland and this one was probably our favorite. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good (cold food and pastries plus a hot item off the menu). Convenient location in town with plenty of fun restaurants, pubs, attractions, and shopping. Definitely recommend!

Nice hotel in a convenient location. The room was comfortable, but small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The good: Great location central to the Dingle Peninsula, the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney National Park and The Ring of Kerry. The bad: we were woken up very early both mornings. The first morning it was from trucks loading up empty beer kegs from the restaurants across the street, and the second morning was setting up scaffolding next door.

Because of a dishonnest online booking system, I had 2 rooms booked instead of one. One had been paid online and the other one remained to be paid at the hotel. You would think that the lady at reception would have had a commercial gesture, as it was a genuine mistake and a real problem to pay an extra 288 Euros for one night stay. She simply said that that cancellation time was 24 h, which is obvious, but since one of the rooms would be unoccupied, that meant no service required and no breakfast , so a little gesture to show good will and sympathy would have been minimum. The hotel was not even full, I felt I was taken advantage of. The bed was comfortable, the windows paper thin so you can hear all the noise from the street, traffic and people until about 4am, and then petrol blowers are used to clean the footpaths at 7 am on a Saturday, so about 3 hours sleep.

Just spent 10 days in Ireland and this hotel was the best of the trip. Traveled with a group of 12 and by the 2nd day they knew all of us by name. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The hotel is also in a great location and walkable to a lot of restaurants and pubs. Highly recommend
