My wife and I stayed at this hotel, going to and back from our trip. We also stayed here last year on our same trip. Both times ALL the ice machines were out of order. We were told that they have never been fixed the last two years. The second problem is NO air conditioning in the lobby or in the breakfast area or front office and none in laundry room. We had to take our food back to the room to eat. This hotel is in Texas and it is really HOT. Guests AND employees should not have to be subjected to this. There are a LOT of other places to stay in Kilgore Tx. Hampton should NOT have their name on this establishment

We are regular Hampton Inn travelers and have to say thar this was the worst we have stayed at. Broken elevator, NONE of the ice machines worked, no air conditioning in the main/breakfast area, cockroaches, smoky smell. The front desk person told us that many things are broken and they just don't fix or replace them. So disappointing.

This hotel is slightly above average, but it is in dire need of a face-lift and a few upgrades. The AC in the conference room was not working that well, and the hotel is generally understaffed. The bathrooms need to be refitted and upgraded with bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers.

The pool was disgusting, discolored and very unsanitary. Several other guests made wise decisions not to enter the pool as well due to the horrid conditions. There were dead roaches in the gym area. The carpet in the hallways smell filthy and are visibly dirty. The carpet need to be either deep cleaned, replaced or removed. THIS IS A MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD! The coffee was lukewarm and rancid. The entire hotel gave me a feeling of nothing but germs! My room was not worth $250 even with my corporate discount.

Poor check in/front desk staff attitude/interaction, days old moldy towels on the window sill, old sheets, not enough towels, hotel needs some repairs. Cleaning staff was marvelous and helpful. Room itself was decently clean but the room itself had a few issues that were probably not related to cleaning staff (moldy towels on window sill and brown streaks on unit/window, broken wall pieces, missing outlet covers) Beds were great, room temp, pool, breakfast, space were all great. Guest/lobby restrooms were clean.

Most horrible experience ever! First night, power outage. So, no air conditioning, no house keeping or clean towels. No hot breakfast meats. Second night, bathroom sewage came up out the basin, including black sludge and flooded all personal items on vanity counter tops, bathroom floor and room carpet. I unknowingly got out of bed onto wet, disgusting carpet. Which means, I could not shower or groom. Custom service was not helpful and seemingly unconcerned. In frustration and disgust, I checked out early and cut my family reunion trip short and drove from Kilgore Texas back to Orange Park Florida. In addition to a complete refund, I'd like compensation for destroyed hygiene and personal items.

I'm a regular customer of the Kilgore Hampton Inn. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean, and the amenities are appreciated. And the breakfast buffet is absolutely the best!

We decided to stay here ignoring bad reviews. Glad we did. Hotel is fine. Rooms were comfortable and bed was great. There were some places in bathroom where water damage very small area around shower. Ice machine wasn’t working but desk clerk got ice for me out of kitchen. Breakfast was adequate. Price was great for room at $100 tax and all for the night. Would def stay again if in area!!
