The extremely popular 5-star resort hotel in the Maldives has a beautiful environment and can be called a paradise. Stay at the Villa and it is close to the seaside, so you can enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the beach. Awesome!

There are a lot of mosquitoes on the island, and there are mites on the bedding. It was really painful to stay there. In addition, the hotel environment is not good, and many places in the water houses and some villas are abandoned. The main reason for booking this hotel this time is because I went there in 2018 and had a good experience at that time. But this time, I regret it. In addition, the hotel’s morning and evening buffets are really bad. I have been to more than a dozen resort islands in Maldives, and this meal is too scary. There are 8 staple foods every day, which are beef, fish, chicken nuggets, vegetables, rice, noodles, Indian beans and potatoes, and then some Western pastries (three or four varieties), and nothing else. Anyway, I feel that it is worse than the three-star hotels in China. The problem is that if you don’t eat this, there is nothing else you can order to eat by yourself (several bars, restaurants and spas in the hotel used to be closed), leaving only a buffet restaurant and a pool bar. It is completely inconsistent with Ctrip’s 5-star rating. It is recommended to cancel the 5 stars to avoid misleading customers.

We had a great two weeks of experience in Maldives. Beautiful island with wonderful warm people. Staff is very nice and welcoming, especially Mr Saeed - General Manager of the Kihaa. He helped us a lot and made our stay unforgettable! Room (we chose vila with beach access) was clean and neat, beach is clean, reefers are wonderful with a beautiful fish and marine life. Hotel has Ocean Diving Center offers a lot of different experiences, the main one must visit is manta, totally miracle! We have seen all comments, but we totally disagree with negative once, in reality Kihaa was the best choice Generally we highly recommend this hotel for couples and families stays, we sure you will enjoy and definitely come back to once again feel happiness and joy!

Absolutely dreadful hotel experience. The quality and variety of food were significantly below the standard expected for a 5-star or even 4-star establishment. Furthermore, the staff consistently demonstrated a lack of knowledge and responsiveness to any inquiries or complaints. Critically, the absence of an on-site doctor and an absolutely inadequate first-aid kit were a safety concern. My wife sustained a minor injury while swimming and was unable to receive proper medical attention. Never again.

We spent really nice time on Kihaa. It was our second stay on that Island. Hotel, especially bathrooms and restaurant need a bit of renovating however the marine life is really amazing. House reef is great when it comes to Maledives and we were lucky to snorkel with dolphins on the house reef....We recommend excursions with Ocean dimemsion- especially Manta Trip. Moreover this hotel has really nice personel. We were amazed by the way our waiter Ibrahim and our waitress Diya were treating us. Thank you very much, because of you our stay was more special!!! Kind regards Karolina and Robert

I recently stayed at Kihaa Resort Maldives, and unfortunately, it fell far below expectations for a property that claims to be a 5-star destination. In reality, the resort would struggle to meet even a 2-star standard. Restaurant and Food Quality The dining experience was one of the worst aspects of the stay. Food options were repetitive and lacked variety, with the same unappetizing dishes served daily. The heaters at the buffet were rarely turned on, leaving items like beans, sausages, and other breakfast options cold. Meat dishes were consistently tough, and the only fish available was a hard, flavorless variety. The so-called salads were basic and unappealing. Presentation was abysmal: dead or dying plants dotted the restaurant, tables were often left dirty after guests left, and birds scavenged openly. Cushions were either missing, dirty, or soaking wet. Cutlery and glasses were mismatched, scratched, and in poor condition. Even napkins were missing, with only cheap tissue boxes provided on tables. The breakfast selection was shockingly poor, with low-quality bread and runny jams resembling cheap jelly. Pancake toppings were sugary syrups more suited for a fast-food chain. Drinks were another disappointment. The bar routinely ran out of staples like Coke, tonic water, and iced tea for days. Alcoholic options were severely limited—cocktails were missing key ingredients, and despite a menu listing five gins, there were none available. Hotel Facilities and Services The general facilities were in a state of disrepair. The advertised luxury water villas were derelict, with broken windows and scaffolding left in plain view. Upon arrival, the welcome at the airport was unenthusiastic, and staff at the resort itself offered a half-hearted greeting. We were not informed about the resort’s unique time zone, resulting in missing meals because of incorrect timings. Many advertised amenities, including a club, wine bar, lounge, à la carte restaurant, and children’s club, were permanently closed without notice. The main restaurant, the only spot with proper lighting, forced guests out at 9:30 PM so staff could reset the tables with minimal effort—dirty table mats were reused, and glasses and cutlery were randomly arranged. Seating near the bar was extremely limited, with just 15 seats for over 200 guests. Cushions were in terrible condition—often wet, stained, or ill-fitted to the benches. The lack of entertainment was glaring; the only offering was an amateur projection of random films on the beach, which drowned out any music in the bar area. The beach bar and pool bathrooms were consistently unsanitary, lacking toilet paper, soap, and towels. It was better to return to your room than use these facilities. Rooms The rooms were tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. Fixtures like taps and showers were old, and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. Housekeeping was virtually nonexistent—cleaning consisted of making the bed and givin

This island is surrounded by a fantastic beach and if there's an pportunity to see the manta's, in the bay, you must. Lovely people and having been in a back row villa for a week you appreciate the shade and early morning call to prayers to get you ready for another beautiful day.

The location was great, the water, the beach and everything. From the airport we had to take a speedboat to reach the island. But the hotel is old, needs maintenance, especially the overwater villas. they were in bad shape. Food was ok, not many options, only 1 buffet place. and 1 reservation based restaurant. Floating breakfast was not good, food was cold. Average at best. Spa was good though. Not many activities to indulge yourself in. Staff were great, tried their best to accommodate our requests. Too few carts to help us move around the island.

This was our second trip to Kihaa and once again it didn’t disappoint! We had the Luxury Sunset Villa with Infinity Pool…. The room was beautiful and luxurious in every way. We travelled with our two young daughters and they couldn’t be more accommodating to their needs! Food was always provided to cater to their less adventurous taste buds! A beautiful island with wonderful staff! Who will go over and above to help you and make your stay wonderful. Snorkelling is incredible, we saw sharks, turtles and dolphins! The shark feeding every day was so fun to be a part of! Our girls especially enjoyed it. This resort is worth a visit, many complain, but everyone has different standards. To us Kihaa is wonderful. Trust me, we wouldn’t have come back here if it wasn’t. Here’s to November 2025!! Thank you Kihaa

Good service by zeeshan. Beautiful reef but it was very windy during our visit (oct) so the choppy waters made it hard to snorkel. Friendly staff. Room is decent but amenities could use a refresh...and water pressure is too low to take a comfortable shower...

I stayed at this hotel a few months ago and had a wonderful experience, especially thanks to one of the employees, who I became quite friendly with during my stay (Nerella Shiva Kumar). We’ve kept in touch since then, and he recently finished his three-month season working at this hotel. Unfortunately, it’s been four months since his contract ended, and he still hasn’t received his salary. Even more concerning is that it seems like the hotel has no intention of paying him what he’s owed. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and it reflects very poorly on the hotel’s management. I strongly urge potential guests to reconsider supporting a business that treats its staff this way.
