I’ve traveled extensively, but my stay at Onomo Hotel Kigali was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. The service was terrible, they serve international cuisine, but it is the worst food I've had. The tablecloths in the dining area were dirty, making meals even more unappetizing. After enduring four unpleasant nights, I had to cut my trip short and leave three days earlier than planned. When I inquired about a refund for the unused nights, the staff initially informed me that they typically charge for one night in case of cancellations. However, they had me fill out a form at the reception and assured me I would be reimbursed for three nights within three weeks. It’s now been over two months, and not only have I received no refund, but they’ve also completely ignored my follow-up emails. What’s even more outrageous is that their booking policy claims they don’t charge anything until 12 PM on the day of arrival—yet here I am, still fighting to get my money back for nights I didn’t even stay. This is basically stealing my money. This level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty is unacceptable. I would strongly advise against staying at Onomo Hotel Kigali. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else!

My first visit to Kigali and I was very impressed. The Hotel was just the way I expected it to be, very clean and in a good location. The check in was seamless and fast, the staff were so nice and friendly, Ruth, Denyse and the rest were always at hand to assist or serve. The city view from the Hotel was so captivating. A very good and delicious breakfast It's a good place to stay

Oh my goodness where do I even start.. the. The rooms clean, linen, amenities 👌. The restaurant clean and has a party vibe, the deck and live band entertainment. The lovely service from the staff. The chefs great food. When I come back, I'm definitely staying here.

A lovely time spent here at Onomo Hotel in Kigali - friendly staff and lovely local food offered with Western offerings too. The Nyama Choma night was awesome too. Activities in the evenings over the weekend and live music, makes for a lively and relaxed ambience. Will definitely return.

I hosted a small conference at the Onomo Hotel in June, and it was perfect. Our conference room was just the right size, beautifully set up each morning in white cloth, the AV worked perfectly, and the WiFi allowed a speaker from Washington DC to join us remotely. We ate our meals at the beautiful lunch buffet, enjoyed delicious snacks, and had lovely outdoor space for smaller discussions on a terrace alongside the conference room overlooking the valley. Great thanks to Derrick Mugabi, the wonderful Sales Manager, for arranging each detail with me by email and teleconference. He was supported by a tremendous team, including the Manager, Front Desk and Conference Teams, Chef and Restaurant Staff. This hotel is a gem and our stay could not have been better!

Be prepared for very SMALL rooms. The showers were so hard to operate, we skipped it. Not nearly as nice as advertised. The staff were nice, but not attentive. The morning buffet was nothing special. It looks good on paper, but doesn’t live up to its own advertising.
