Everything is manageable if you only. The hotel has a very nice website advertising it as "Bontiak offers the best service". It is full of all sorts of detail, apart from the fact which is the only one important really. The hotel is next to government building, surrounded with barriers and soldiers who will not let you in. Yes, after 30 min of walking around I have finally found someone speaking any language and managed. But is it nice experience in the middle of the night, not really. Oh and forget about your business guests coming for a meeting. Obviously... The restaurant maybe is nice, but the only way to pay for anything if you are a foreigner, is to have Ukrainian cash, which is not easy to find in the middle of the night. The waiter did not speak any language, you cannot pay by card, you cannot put it on your room - remember, we are talking about 4* business hotel, not B&B for pennies, where everybody would talk languages anyway and payment by card would be no problem at all. Rooms are nice, but this is not the only, if you are traveling for business to a country at war. You may expect at least a little compassion.
