We went to a wedding here years ago which was superb in every way but particularly in the food dept. Therefore, as a result of this, we were keen to return for Afternoon Tea, a gift from a friend, for a milestone anniversary. We were greeted at the door by a super lady- so welcoming and friendly, in fact she was the best thing to come out of our visit. Shown to our table in an otherwise empty room. We were approached by a young man who explained the format of the Afternoon Tea. We were astounded when the food came out. I believe there were 8 finger sandwiches- coronation chicken, dry, little filling, with partially stale bread which was dry and hard. Cheese and pickle, ok but not really special, red pepper and hummus, and smoked salmon and cream cheese. 8 small cakes, very small cakes too, supposedly bespoke but they were so tiny it was hard to tell. 2 slices of sausage roll, and two Mini quiches ( as big as a 10p piece) We had to ask for more tea, and we weren’t asked if we needed the sandwiches/ sausage roll slices replenished which has always been the case at every other Afternoon Tea we’ve attended. Then came the scones…again, super small and we were told two fruit and two plain- my fruit scone had two currants in. However, when we cut them open there was a very fishy smell coming from them - so we asked for a box and took them home to dispose of. This tea cost our friend £70.00 Truthfully it wasn’t worth £7.00 we left disappointed and hungry. We didn’t complain at the time because the nice lady was so overly nice and we just wanted to leave I don’t know what’s happened here - we had Afternoon Tea at the wedding and it was first class- a far cry from our experience We’ve had several Afternoon Teas and sadly this ranks as our worst- we haven’t told our friend as that was a lot of money and she’d be devastated. The jam ramekin is on the scone plate as perspective of how small they were. Sadly it’s such a lovely setting but we won’t be returning any time soon.

Where to start? The free upgrade was good! Also there was a wedding and I was really fortunate to meet the lovely bride. My room was number 6 and it was spectacular amazing views and I could have lived in that bed. I had homemade honey flapjacks which deserve their own review. Everything about the hotel screamed class and elegance, the staff were fantastic the chef deserves a raise as my dinner was beyond yummy!!! I am totally staying here again! Bravo

We hosted my 70th Birthday party at Brokencote and the team at the hotel excelled. Samantha-Jane masterminded our event and communicated exactly what we wanted to the team. The food was really impressive - our guests loved the dinner not to mention the wines and the service was great They even looked after us beautifully at breakfast - extending the joy of our party. We have no hesitation in recommending this venue for your event

Truly a first class experience. The huge room and giant bed made us feel as if though we were staying in a country manor house from a different age, which, coincidentally, it is. Lovely decor throughout and with an engaging staff, we wished that we had scheduled more time. The pastoral setting, with sheep, geese, butterflies and bees, was so very relaxing. The village of Chaddesley Corbett is an easy stroll from Brokencote Hall, with a fine, fine pub called The Swan, where the locals are happy to have a chat and share a joke. We absolutely loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again. The only downsides are that the restaurant does not serve on Monday and Tuesday evenings, the days that we were there and that there is no A/C, which normally would not be an issue but it was during a heatwave.

Brockencote Hall , part f the Eden Hotel Collection (EHC), is a beautiful tranquil haven oozing with elegance and charm in the heart of rural Worcestershire. It is located in convenient proximity to Worcester, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. This stylish retreat caters for guests in the smallest of details;- from comfortable, clean spacious rooms (offering excellent complementary tea , coffee, homemade oat bars and cordial, slippers, etc) to the beautiful dining rooms adorned with fresh flowers throughout. Most importantly the staff is the heart and soul of Brockencote Hall. The welcoming friendly atmosphere is prevalent. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff for making me feel welcome. Thank you Jack, Angela and Dan Brennan for the superb management. I have been a returning guest for many years and have visited many hotels . Brockencote Hall is my favourite hideaway of all.

Had a fabulous stay here. The room was beautifully furnished, spacious, and the bed really comfortable. It is a small boutique hotel with attention to detail at its core. All the staff could not be more attentive. Dinner was very intimate and not rushed. We were on a package with OPL and upgraded to the tasting menu for an extra £20 and could not fault it - it was sublime. Parking is also free, the hotel also very quiet. Having the paper delivered was a luxury.

Lynne worked her magic for room allocation and Marie gave me a warm welcome. Super comfortable bed! I loved the traditional setting and the room furnishings. I highly recommend seeing for yourself!

We had a fantastic stay at Brockencote to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. We had afternoon tea when we arrived which was delicious. It was lovely to view the lambs gamboling as we relaxed. The reception staff were so helpful and all the staff were so friendly. We had a walk around the grounds which are beautiful and walked to the nearby historic village of Chaddesley Corbett which was so picturesque. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was perfect- the food is sourced locally and is presented beautifully. We couldn’t fault it. After dinner we retired to the library for coffee and petit fours. We had a superior room which was huge. We took advantage of the complimentary turn- down service whilst we were having dinner, so on return the room was set to ensure a good nights sleep. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept so well. The breakfast was great with freshly served juice and a choice of a continental or cooked breakfast options. Again it was served beautifully. We will definitely return but for longer next time.
