Love this place and can’t wait to go back!! We stayed 5 nights and got married onsite the 2nd day. Taylor Bishop, our wedding coordinator, was amazing and took so much stress off my plate. She set me up with an incredible photographer, Sabrina Pacetti, from The Photography Concierge LLC and a phenomenal hair and make up team from Beautiful Brides of the FL Keys. The staff from Bungalows were friendly, efficient and accommodating. The food was also exquisite. We had an unforgettable and magical wedding thanks to everyone involved, including our Beachfront Bungalow neighbor and other guests we met that week!

Worst experience of my life , went there to celebrate a special moment with my fiance and we were treated with disrespect, hostile attitudes by the staff. We left traumatized and my fiancé in tears. The general manager named Cynthia is a very cruel women who likes to pick on and bully her guests

Had I known to sort the reviews on Tripadvisor and Google reviews by the lowest rated review first it would have saved me $6k. I did not see or know about all the complaints when I booked my reservation, or I would of never booked it. Sadly, everything I now have read is true and my wife and I experienced to. We also did not feel safe, to many guys driving around on golf carts trying to peek into our rooms. We were afraid to go to sleep in fear of our safety. Please sort the reviews by lowest rated first, its pretty shocking how many other guests have had issues.

Do not recommend at all. Huge disappointment. Way overpriced and the food ******. Not to mention we got the stomach bug from staying there. The breakfast is nothing special, the eggs benedict are pre frozen and the same exact ones they serve at all the resorts in the keys, it’s all from the same food supply company. Their food is not that good for the money you pay. The “ocean view bungalows” (which are not ocean view as the ocean is really on the opposite site of the keys is a false misrepresentation of the room. The ocean is not even on that side of the coast ! Bungalows is actually on a lagoon and bay, that water you see is NOT the ocean, it is a lagoon bay.) The room should be called lagoon or bay view. It’s not on the ocean. The rooms are so close to each other you have no privacy if you sit on your front balcony, you could rub elbows with the room next to you it's so close. The staff is rude, they all seem like they hate there jobs. And if you are the sucker who pays $300 extra just to check in early I feel sorry for you., it’s not worth it. And if you get to the check in before 4pm they treat you like chopped liver and look at you like you are the scum of the earth. As a airline pilot I frequent many resorts and would NOT recommend Bungalows to anyone. The owner is a money hungry careless person who does not care about the guests. Thanks Bungalows we will now be bed ridden from the yucky stomach bug you gave us. All the food ******

We came for our wedding anniversary and only the Bogie & Bacall restaurant acknowledged it since we had a special (extra $) reservation there. It would have been nice to at least have them congratulate us at check-in since we notified them in advance a few times. We had #123, waterfront towards the far end of the resort, and it was mostly quiet but we could hear DJ noise Saturday night and had to use ear plugs. The bath towels were quite rough for such an expensive resort. We paid extra for the sunset cruise which was not worth it from a food perspective and our night it was cloudy so no sunset (not that they control that). Every place you eat/drink you get a "bill" that shows an approximate recommended tip, presumably based on what the food/beverage would have cost, so that you can leave a tip, which is not included. It is a very luxurious place and we wish we could have stayed longer!

This was my second visit to The Bungalows. Once again, I had an overall great experience. The property is kept in pristine condition, and beautifully overflowing with vegetation everywhere. This is truly a perfect slice of paradise to unwind and relax. This visit happened to be over Memorial Day Weekend and they had lots of things planned. Live music all day and a beach BBQ that was divine! Some feedback I offer is, the AC units could never really keep up with the hot Florida weather and get our room cold. (My first visit was in December so the extreme heat was not an issue.) Also, unfortunately the desserts were subpar; cupcakes, cheesecake and cookies were not good. The staff was attentive and kind. By far, Samantha at the Tiki Bar was the highlight of our stay. She was there every day with a big smile to welcome you, she remembered our drinks, and was always exuding friendly energy!!! Thank you, Bungalows, until next time! 

My wife and I had been eager to visit this resort. Arrival and the first evening was great. The bar by the pool was excellent and the bartenders were excellent. We had dinner at Fish Tales that evening and that too was great. Day 2 was a pool day. We decided to get a cabana at the Spa pool. It was a very nice pool and the service was very good. That evening we had cocktails at the Hemmingway bar…. Service and the cocktails were excellent!!! We paid the charge and had dinner at Bogey and Bacall’s. I would highly recommend this. Food was great, ambience was ideal, and the service was awesome. Overall a great day. Day 3 is where things turned sour for us. The forecast called for rain so we had scheduled a spa day for my wife. We started at the gym and I would say 1/2 of the treadmills and elliptical were not operating. We returned to the room and the rain really picked up. I called and reserved a ride for my wife to the spa, because when I walked to get lunch I go soaked and non of the staff in golf carts wanted to help me. One even splashed me when passing me on the road. I told this to the front desk in a text and they were dismissive. When the pick up time came….. they no-showed. I called the front desk and was told they were busy with check ins. Not my problem, but they were very dismissive…again! My wife ended up walking to the spa in pouring rain and mud. I must say the spa staff and the spa itself was very nice. I walked over to the spa to make sure my wife got back okay and told the ladies there at the desk about my experience. One of them called the GM on duty and talked to her. However, the GM did not want to speak with me or even offer any apology. At this point the rain had picked up significantly. To the point that large palm branches were falling. Our dinner was scheduled for Sea Senor which was outside. I had to call to find out that was being moved to a different location. However, after my other experience with transport, I just walked in the storm to get some food from the bar because room service was not included. Still… not a single attempt to say sorry for my wife’s situation. That evening the power went out.! The rain and wind was near hurricane strength and we had to check out at 5am. What hotel property doesn’t have a back up generator. Luckily I had a flashlight and caught an employee that was driving around and secured a ride to the front desk for check out. I think the property and the food service employees and spa employees are great. The bungalows are very cute. But some of the service issues I mentioned and the lack of empathy was a real turn off. Will we return? Not sure at this point. And yet I got an e-mail this AM wanting me to rebook.

What a beautifully design place. Everything feels right. The colors, layout, dim lights, great silence, meditation music in a zen pool, incredible massages at the spa. What can go wrong. Omg the food! Its horrendous. The poor staff showed signs of poor training as well , to the point of not knowing how to pronounce dishes or what they were. Our dinner at Fish tales was a true disappointment. Not only they serve low food quality but it was also horribly prepared. My scallops were so over cooked that I was unable to eat them. Soups had no flavor nothing served to us was eatable so we left hungry. Breakfast was no better. Scrambled eggs poorly cooked. Mushy and soggy. Totally non eatable breakfast left again hungry. Luckily we found food by the pool side eatable so we survived on tacos. I would never consider coming back basically because their food is horrendous. So inevitably we felt at points being more in a tourist trap that in a relaxing high end hotel.

The Bungalows Key Largo was the relaxing and welcoming tropical oasis we were looking for along coastal Florida. We had the chance to enjoy near perfect weather during our stay over the second week of April and that permitted open access to all of the properties' amenities, activities and open-air dining options. Our Garden Double Queen bungalow was clean, modern and inviting, but its outdoor patio, soaking tub and shower amid the sheltering landscaping opened us up to bright skies, sunshine and comfortable breezes. During our stay, there was always the opportunity to do something or to do nothing and be happy with either choice. Whether at Coconut or Tranquility Beach, the Sunset or Zen Pool or the various water sports activities docks, access to water therapy was what we appreciated the most. Our dining experiences at each of the Bungalows restaurants were thoroughly enjoyable, the menus varied and the food well prepared. What made our time at The Bungalows Key Largo outstanding was its employees. We were grateful to Gabriela, Pablo, Schneider, William and Raphael of Fish Tales / Sea Senor /Hemingway Bar for their personal care and consideration in making our meals a pleasure every day. Our appreciation to Susan at the Zen Garden Spa for sharing what The Bungalows Key Largo strives to do for guests like us. Finally, we would like to acknowledge Bryan Le Mar, a uniquely talented solo guitarist whose artistry in weaving his acoustical song interpretations left us awed and delighted. Thanks to all The Bungalows' service staff and personnel for their efforts to make our visit so memorable . . . and thank you, Mr. Jerry J, for a little bit of paradise.
