We stayed here to celebrate my birthday and we got a great deal with our suite. We loved having such a great space and waking up to special views. The rooms are always lovely and we have stayed here twice now and will definitely go again. We really liked our room so would probably ask for that one again. Service was great. They put a card in the room for my birthday which is a nice touch but a lot of other venues do extra things. I guess they get a lot of people celebrating here though. Beds are comfy. Suites spacious. Great to stay in the actual spa section if you have poor mobility as a trip in the elevator and you are straight in the spa. Really rated our stay. It was magical.

We went to the spa here and it was fantastic! We were given the royal treatment with an excellent massage in a lovely, relaxing setting with skilled practitioners. The views here are marvelous and the lunch was delicious. I'd love to come back!

For the price there are far better aqua thermal options elsewhere. The outdoor pool was borderline cold and due to the outdoor fire it smelt strange. The treatments were decent but the spa itself was small and did not live up to the hype. The food was ok and the restaurant itself was nice. In summary, shop around.

Spa was great. The hotel allowed a wedding to play music until 12 AM which kept us and presumably other guests up. We were then disturbed by wedding guests shouting and screaming up the corridors. Not what we expected on a quiet get away to the lake district, very disappointing. The hotel could easily remedy this by only allowing wedding guests into certain parts of the hotel (I.e all on one floor) and not allowing any music after 2230. That is reasonable. As the hotel fails to do this, i can only assume they are not interested in guests having a comfortable stay, only maximising profits. This is reflected on the breakfast plate where you will find yourself tucking in to a rather sorry full English.

We stayed at this hotel for our annual Autumnal weeks break having previously stayed last Autumn at this and it's partner hotel in Ullswater. There is no doubt about it the location, spa, and restaurants are excellent albeit you would expect them to use more local, sustainable produce for their guests and not tinned fruit etc. Staff are also generally very friendly and amenable. The biggest change that we have seen is that the hotel has gone from a relaxing, quiet place to enjoy your holiday to a predominately wedding venue that hammers out the drum and bass till midnight which makes it difficult to sleep until the party has ended. This happened on 5 out of the 7 nights we stayed there which spoilt our long awaited, pieceful, relaxing holiday. We were compensated with a small reduction of our bill but frankly we would have preferred our nights sleep. It may be a suggestion that when allowing guests to book you make them aware of this and to perhaps put wedding guests in rooms above the noise so it doesn't matter to them.

The Ladore Falls has so much potential, yet falls so far short of the mark that it try’s to portray. I stayed for a number of nights in a Suite, the quality of which is substandard and way below what I expected both from the price paid and the way it is marketed. My suite had a small sitting room, a smaller bedroom and a tiny bathroom; the bathroom quality is really substandard, old and tired with sealant coming off, no room to sit comfortable the loo and cheap fittings. Upon arrival at the hotel the experience is poor, parking is across the road, on arrival at reception it is not welcoming and we were not greeted warmly. Minimal information was shared about our stay other than, despite booking our restaurant bookings, they had messed them up; this really set a downward tone before we even got to the room. Following bookings, you receive an email, in a tiny front which is difficult to read and not mobile device friendly, this invites you to book spa and restaurants (yes, they still messed it up even though we did it all). By comparison other similar types of hotel manage all this process better with a much more welcoming experience by having someone call you prior to arrival to personally coordinate your stay experience! There is too much focus on outside guests at the Spa and despite having Spa access in our rate, we couldn’t get suitable times booked to access the facilities due to over booking outside guests, an example of money before service and experience. My overwhelming feeling is one of disappointment, I wouldn’t stay here again!
