Everything was well organised and set up. I needed an accessible room and bathroom and this was well laid out, though a little more shelf space would have been welcome as I have a stoma and needed room to deal with that. For the same reason the bathroom bin could have been a little larger. Costs have been trimmed so no staff were available when I checked in and I had minor hiccoughs with the check in screen. Signposting of the car park pay terminal was inadequate so I missed it on arrival but found it the next day after asking another guest. Staff at breakfast coped very cheerfully with some very busy periods and the food was good if a little greasy.

Premier Inn Keswick We were greeted with a lovely smiling Duty Manager called Kelly who advised us of both our accommodation and on-site parking. A lovely friendly and professional welcome indeed. A great first impression ! Later we were looked after by a young lady called Gemma who again was very customer focused and helpful who provided us with an excellent Room with panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Wonderful ! The room was perfect, very clean and tidy with great ‘attention to detail’. So well done to all Staff. We also observed a young lad called called Axel, who despite it being late at night with only a few guests in the Bar Restaurant, Axel found things to do cleaning the Bar, Gantry and tidying furniture without being prompted. Gemma & Axel have a great work ethic no doubt assisted by Premiers training and on site management, nevertheless it was ‘refreshing’ to see these young people in action given their ‘Gen Z Status !’ So well done Premier Keswick and we wish to convey our deep thanks and appreciation. This is not a BUDGET HOTEL !!! Much much better than the local standard accommodation. We’ll be back very soon 👍😃 Mr & Mrs PMG Room 310 ps Premier Inn for opening this Hotel in Keswick……badly needed !

Greeted by a lovely member of staff as we arrived early and asked if was ok to keep our small suitcase until we checked in later which was not a problem . When we arrived back later I checked in via the self check in stations but one was out of order . Room was clean and tidy but unfortunately there was a Bath and Hand Towel short but that was sorted within 15 minutes . There’s a Happy Hour from 5-7pm but the Bar does need more Staff to keep things ticking over efficiently as at times there was no one behind the Bar and when they got massive queue and if we wanted another drink would have gone past 19:00hrs . Slept well until abruptly woken with the Fire / Smoke detector alarm system going off at about 07:00 but no apologies for this happening. Breakfast I always like , Full English with plenty of choice always replenished . Would like to have seen some more varieties of yogurts flavour’s as there was only Strawberry . Lack of Staff at 15:10 as there was a very big queue because there was no Room cards at the self check in Station and only 1 person checking people in . Most of the Staff were friendly and courteous and overall our stay was fine and is a prefect location to explore the Lake District.

What a disappointing weekend and the end of an era for us, the Inn is soleless. I will admit on booking I just saw Thyme restaurant and thought that’s ok then but when you look at the menu it’s not, it’s their ready meal evening food, choice of 5 items, all microwaved dinners. The room was clean and tidy and very sparce 6 coat hangers, no draws, so you have to live out of your bag, something I dislike, any sign of coziness has now been removed, I assume to save money. The beds were nice and comfy though, and I’m disabled so had the small bed made up and slept really well. The first night we didn’t bother with the food as we had eaten out and didn’t fancy it, got up the following morning and ‘No Cooked Breakfast’ only Continental it appeared the chef had not turned up. Sparsity again! We had to ask for bread, cups, milk, plates and cutlery. There were empty containers for fruit and the odd pastry lying sadly in baskets, it was a disgrace and there was another hour’s service to go. Oh, and the toaster didn’t toast. On asking for the manager, I was told I could speak to Adam, who looked at me in confusion when I mentioned the Thyme restaurant, I don’t think he had ever heard of it and couldn’t understand what was wrong and why was I complaining, maybe if he’d been out on the floor helping, just saying. We got back that night and had the ready meals there were however no chips as the chef had ordered croutons instead of chips, the barman come receptionist come cook come waiter did his best to lighten the atmosphere. In fact the staff were great working hard with not back up. We decided not to eat in the evening again. Then the worst NO PI Sausage with the cooked breakfast just grey chipolata looking tasteless items. Not enough food out empty trays meant my husband and I eat in relays after scavenging cutlery and salt pots with salt. And the cook was Adam who was present the day before but couldn't cook because it would leave the place short of staff, he was ensconced in the office instead. Gave up on food, did eat breakfast but stopped on the way home for something nice. Now we have used PI’s since they started and seen the changes and can understand most of them, but the death of the PI breakfast was the last straw. I would not recommend the Keswick Premier Inn its soleless, as you walk in the automatic check in says out of order and that about sums it up.

Room was clean and tidy Comfy Bed Poor Breakfast.............. No Coffee...................... No Butter................. Had to ask for Bread,... Milk...., Eggs..... Things not replenished and running out is poor for premier inn and not their normal standard. we were thinking of staying an extra night but decided against it due to this.

First time in Keswick and opted for the new addition to the premier inn chain. From the outset was really impressed with the design , not your usual looking premier inn ! The hotel is set back from the river with amazing views !!Hotel was spotless and room was nice and quite perfect for our stay. Special mention to Paul who checked us in. Lovely lad who gave us his time to chat and even help us with some recommendations. Would def recommend a stay here and this one won’t be our last 🙌

We have stayed here before. The big downside is a greatly reduced evening meal menu, compared to other Premier Inns . I have suggested previously that as they are geared up for breakfasts why can't they offer a full English breakfast evening meal/grill option (without the all you can eat at breakfast time of course). A pet hate with all Premier Inns is the request to separate your recyclable rubbish. We are keen recyclers but I do not want to wake up o holiday to see our rubbish on the floor! Why can't we have a green bin alongside the regular bin please? I have suggested this previously. Location is great with parking onsite. Plenty of places to eat at night in the village and in the daytime you could eat yourself to death with the amount of cafes, bakeries etc.

We stayed for a few nights while visiting the Lake District over half term, as a family of four. The room was clean and modern, so very suitable, just slightly small. This didn't really bother us though, because we didn't spend much time in the room except for sleeping. The only things that we could fault: - when we arrived, the receptionist was serving people in the bar, so reception was unmanned, but we waited patiently, and when we finally got served, she was a bit bolshy and unwilling to help. Very unusual for a premier inn receptionist, usually they're more than willing to help! - PARKING. There's not enough spaces in the car park, especially considering just how large the hotel is in comparison, so we couldn't park, unsurprisingly, but had visited once before, so knew that we could park in the Pencil Museum's Car Park, which was opposite. This was fine, but just be aware that if you purchase 24 hours of parking, you cannot leave and then return using the same ticket, you MUST purchase a new ticket or risk a fine. A bit of a dirty trick but definitely something to be aware of. Overall, a pleasant stay. Thanks!
