Premier Inn Keswick

Staff overwhelmed and long queues at check in, a tad shambollick. Had to feel sorry for the young lad on reception as he was left to deal with 15 couples queuing to check in. Communication with those waiting was non existent and this lead to some frustration. We found out later that there were staff shortages and a much higher demand for rooms due to power outage elsewhere. many rooms were still being cleaned way after check in time.

You just know the place will be clean and tidy the staff will be polite and the coffee will be great . The place was well positioned with a sort walk into the ctr of Keswick a great base to have when you know exactly what your getting a super looking hotel

Never stay in Premier Inn before, There were lots to observe that impressed us security /reception staff . Room very comfortable impressed with beside / dressing table lights not being over powering if you wished to read. We took the meal deal so as to make the first evening meal a relaxing time with family But….. Evening meal s menu very limited great disappointment all round, however we decided to have the Fish & Chips . Menu showed great picture of Said meal , Fish&Chips peas lemon looked very appealing. When meals came very bland looking no peas on plate as in picture ,,,,poor quality. Asked questions of the staff there not in position to make changes for you as customers Only to be told no peas on site to go with meal. Plus the restaurant was very cold people sitting with coats on. Asked about raising the temperature but this did not change So the next evening we did not stay in Breakfast could be faulted great choices.

Great location a 3 minute walk into town. Nice new hotel and great value for money. All dietary requirements are catered for. The only issue was parking, as the car park is small so only pay for the day you have managed to get a space. The cost is £12!

We stayed in a standard room and had an excellent view, room had everything we needed. Parked in the pencil museum car park over the road as much more room. Only niggle was air con didn't go below 19, it wasn't an issue as it was freezing outside and we managed without aircon on at all but in summer months given windows don't open I'm not sure if the air con is lowered at all. Location was excellent, 5 min walk into town.

Room was excellent Booking in at reception was very professional and courteous. Breakfast was a very poor experience. No staff, no food and when it did arrive was luke warm. Staff were stressed and rude. We had to ask for bread for toast and wait 10 minutes for a clean plate. Clearly staff hadn’t turned up but why allow more customers in. I raised this with the team member and then customer relations namely Ishrat who was absolutely useless and could not follow basic requests. Coffee machine not working and when raised seemed a massive task with moans. We were one of several customers who were appalled by the experience. Everything else was spot on .
