I attended a family wedding on Friday 6th Sep and to just say that the hotel and grounds are stunning, would not do it justice enough. It is the most magical place but it was not only the scenery and hotel that had us in awe. The staff more than contributed to the wonderful time we had there. TJ and Thys went above and beyond to make sure that my son (who is autistic) was ok with everything, with Thys approaching me to explain that he was about to play some loud music while introducing the bridal party and wanted to make sure that my son with would be ok with that and then TJ the next morning helping my son decide his breakfast and calling him by his name, Finn. It was such a personal touch and meant so much. I also had a shoe malfunction not long after the ceremony that the girls on reception sorted for me within minutes, enabling me to continue on at the wedding. I can’t thank them all enough and would definitely recommend the hotel and staff to everyone. Whether it be for a short stay or for a big occasion because they 100% look after each and every guest.

This was such a great place to stay! We were greeted by Maurice who was very friendly and made our stay even more special. He provided great recommendations on where to go and cooked us a yummy breakfast the next morning and sat and chatted with us. The rooms were clean and it was really cool staying in such a unique building that used to be used as horse stables. The b&b was in the perfect location and was right next to the pier and a short walk away from Main Street. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Dingle. Such a great experience that really made our trip to Ireland so special.

The hotel is on the seaside of Dingle, not far from the town center and only a 10-minute walk away. The room had a nice view of the bay. Desy at the front desk was very enthusiastic to help us call the car rental company to solve the tire problem. Thank you very much. The breakfast was very rich. The three of them ordered traditional Irish breakfast, Belgian waffles, boiled eggs, and a variety of self-service breads, fruit cups, and milk juices. There are heated swimming pools, Fungie Kids Club, etc. The children's club can be hosted, and children have fun in it. Even though we only stayed for one night, we had a great time here.

We traveled to Killarney for a holiday in April. I got a fabulous room at a very reasonable price in this hotel. This place has a fantastic view of the lakes and the mountains, and the picturesque trails from the campus are also worth a try. Definitely recommend anyone who visits Killarney to stay here. I wish we had more days to stay!!

We booked a junior suite for 2 nights. The room was located on the street side which was quite noisy with the road and foot traffic if you left the windows opened however closing the window blocked out the majority of noise. The room was spacious, but I wouldn’t say the decor was modern it had an antique feel to it. The walls are quite thin so you could hear guests in the room next door. The wi-fi was ridiculously slow when it actually worked. No face washers in the room but a call to receptions quickly resolved that. Breakfast was cooked to order and we loved the traffic light posters 🚥 advising guests of the quiet and busy times. A central location, no parking on site but a public car park is a short walk from the hotel costing €3 for 24 hours or free on Sundays and public holidays.

The rooms are Clean and comfortable centrally located in the town. Breakfast had the usual fair. On checking you are asked to pay for stay upfront which is fine but just weren't aware. I had booked a twin and when went to the room this was a King bed. There was no issue when I requested the bed type to be changed. Overall a nice stay

Had the pleasure of staying in the Hights hotel in April. We upgraded to one of the new premium rooms, and were not disappointed. Fridge, tea coffee facilities in room. Walkin shower. We only had B&B , a big shout out to Leen in the restaurant. Every morning, she had our well-done Bacon ready after our first day. ( it's the little things that make the difference) All the restaurant staff were lovely and helpful over our 4 days . Yes, I would recommend and would stay again. Note there are two types of rooms , premium ( just renovated) and standard.

I suppose the risk of arriving after 7pm to check in for one night is that you take whatever room they offer. I was staying for the first time on business at the Kilkarney Oaks Hotel. From the outside it seems like a nice hotel and as soon as you enter the spacious and luxurious foyer you get the feeling that this is no ordinary 4 star hotel. The decor is beautiful, between the freshness of grey tones and the crystal chandeliers, no expense has been spared. Check in was fast and pleasant and I was assigned my room. However, the room was a slight let down. The size was no bigger than I would expect from any Itish hotel room. But I wasn't expecting it to be crammed full of beds! I was staying as an individual, but had the choice of a small double bed or either of two single beds. I thought it was like Goldilocks choice, but I refrained from seeing if one was too hard, one too soft and one just right! If this was considered a family room them it was for a tiny family who liked living on top of each other. I had to rearrange furniture just to get to the window to close the curtains. As a businessman I tend to get to my room and stay in it until bedtime. But this room was very unwelcoming. Don't get me wrong, it was spotlessly clean, fresh and felt like it had just been totally redecorated. It just wasn't a nice place to be because of the number of beds along with a table and 2 chairs. I'm glad I only stayed 1 night. I might give it another go the next time I'm in Killarney but I'll be more circumspect about defining what is acceptable as a place of comfort.

GGuest UserBeautiful farm house. Comfy rooms. Sean is a great host. Very knowledgeable, personable, and willing to give his local tips while visiting. The 1200+ year old on-site burial ground is a bit of a walk away, we didn’t have time in our schedule to visit it but Sean was ready to navigate. Something to consider working into your itinerary if you choose to stay here.

GGuest UserMyself and my family stayed here for one night so we didn't see all the facilities but we had a wonderful stay. We ordered an inter-connecting family room and it was huge! We had two very spacious, spotless bathrooms and very large bedrooms connected by an internal door. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning was very effective during the heat-wave. The breakfast was nice and the staff were all very pleasant. It was easy to park in the car park provided. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

GGuest UserPROS: Exceptionally clean. Everything seemed relatively new. Beautifully quiet. Nice warm room. Bedding, décor, and furnishings were all quite nice and well selected. CONS: No lounge or living room type common area for guests to sit comfortably with only one basic office chair provided in the room. Quite simply, it was too sp****ly furnished and appointed. Wi-fi was very sketchy (despite numerous reboots) and even stopped working completely for quite some time. The owner since claimed to have “super fast Wi-Fi” and that we should have addressed Wi-fi issues on-site, but we had no idea how to find the proprietor once he handed us the room keys and then basically disappeared for the duration of our stay (behind one of the closed doors on the property?). In short, we could not address the Wi-fi issues as he suggested. There were no TV’s in the entire property, which the owner stated was done on purpose to provide a “quiet and peaceful experience”. That seems nice enough, but without reliable working Wi-fi, the property became an isolated entrapment while we stared at the walls for several hours. A tomb is a “quiet and peaceful experience”, but that doesn’t necessarily make it pleasant. By normal Irish standards for hotels, 4:30 pm check-in and 10:30 am check-out times were quite late and early respectively, which is not common for Ireland as the owner subsequently claimed. We stayed in more than 30 hotels in Ireland and not one of them provided so little overall time. The typical turnaround from check-in to check-out (in all of 2100 miles we traveled around Ireland) was about an hour longer, one way or another. Responding to this, the owner quite rudely wrote (his quote) that we “would need to familiarise yourself with the basics before travelling somewhere”. To that, I can only say we are traveling 110 days this year in 16 different countries and have traveled to about 40 countries before. We plan our journeys exhaustively. I suggest rather than provide insulting remarks about our travel abilities, which are highly tuned and time-tested, perhaps this property’s management should listen to useful customer input about things which were not customary and inferior to competitors. Breakfast was an additional charge which rather goes against the ENTIRE notion of calling oneself a B&B. In retrospect, on closer examination, I concede the advertised rates for the property apparently included a non-breakfast option, but it’s important to note that is not always completely obvious when viewing typical hotel booking sites. Addressing this, the owner wrote that “it looks like you had no idea what you were booking and were not looking at the location or anything at that time”. Overlooking the blatant rudeness of that comment, our situation was actually quite the contrary, and we were keenly familiar with the location, having already spent a total of 25 days traversing the entire west coast of Ireland throughout both rural and urban areas before

GGuest UserThe hotel is really lovely and is in a beautiful location. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly on our arrival and helped us up to our room with our luggage which was quite easy to find. Our room was on the small side for the standard of hotel, but the view from the window was stunning. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows were a bit soft. The bathroom was also quite small and it was very difficult to find any where to put wash bags and toiletries as there were no spare shelves. Toiletries that were provided were an exceptional high-quality. The shower was very efficient. There are two restaurants there and we had a meal in both of them. The menus are quite different, but the prices are much the same. We also had a cocktail on the terrace as it was a lovely sunny day. Breakfast was very good and quite comprehensive. There was a buffet for the Continental breakfast items and any cooked food you ordered from the table. The public areas were all very nice and well maintained. Even though it was there was a fire in the entrance lobby which made it quite cozy as it was cold at night. There are quite a lot of activities that you can do, but we did not have time for any of those.

GGuest UserThe check-in seamless, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a dog too and separate entrance was really handy. The room was spotless, and very generous in size with a beautiful view of the bay. We ate both nights in the hotel, and the food was great quality and very tasty. Very close to the village. Sneem is a magical place, and so worth a visit. Some must do things while in sneem: Eat in one of the restaurants in the village, amazing quality, The meat in the local butcher is amazing, try the black pudding, Go for a walk up the mountains, Go for a walk on the beach, Go for a walk along the river ..

GGuest UserAttend a wedding in ballyroe Heights Hotel last weekend. When we entered the dining room, we noticed that there were about 3 to 4 sashes at each table. One of the wedding party noticed it too. We sat for the meal. The food was fantastic, but the heat in the room was ridiculous. Guests at our table asked a few times to put on Air Con. They were told it was on. If this is so, they need to get it serviced . Even the candels didn't flicker. Very uncomfortable. Then the icing on the cake was when my sister-in-law had mould on the cover of her chair. Of course, we all looked at our chairs, and there were 3 out of 10 with mould. To be honest the venue and staff were fabulous. The chair covers and heat need improvement.
